    This will change the sales order for the 7.3 tremendously. Now people can use this intake and a stock 7.3 and put twin turbos on it!!! Thanks Ford Performance engineering!!!!

    It seems like swapping the cam/springs, adding headers and this intake is all that's needed for a stout street/track package. Now we need these engines to show up in the salvage yards. Thanks Evan and Brian.

    Gotta love the Ford 7.3L Godzilla V8, I bet it'll outlast any EcoBoost engine with ease.

      I worked at Ford and saw MANY gen 1 ecoboosts over 300k miles with stock components. Granted, most of the are on half tons and don't tow much if we are being honest. The Ecoboost is a hit or miss. Some people have a ton of issues, others beat theirs to the ground it doesn't care. That said, I'd want a Godzilla over an Ecoboost any day.

      Broke 200k with my 3.5l 17' F150. Constantly towing 2 different trailers, both range from 5,000lb to 7500lb-ish. I think most people are not being honest about their usage and how little they do to take care of their vehicles. Sure, going to be some bad batches, 2015 Chevy 6.2l High Country blew up on me 30k miles in, warrantied the work with another 3k miles put on and just didn't feel confident. Sold it and haven't looked back.

      @@ec3886 Exactly what I saw at Ford. Most people do not do the maintenance that they should. Especially on a turbo engine, lack of maintenance will lead to issues.

    Really enjoy these videos! Great info as always and is great to see Ford produce this intake that addresses the issue with the throttle body angle. Can't wait to get one of these on a customer's vehicle and dial it in on the dyno!

    Very impressive Evan and Brian! I have to get a 7.3L for my 67 Mustang Gt and nix the 460 boat anchor currently in her. I hope the Godzilla can bolt up to my built C-6. Thanks for sharing. Cheers from Motown/Dearborn.

      it won't bolt to a C6. Uses the same bell pattern as the Mod/Coyote/6.2L

      @@robertclymer6948 Ford has a 7.3 with 10R140 crate setup for around 20k. A 6R80 or 10R80 can probably work also with one of the control pack deals Ford has

      Use a Modular 4R70W, it has the correct bell pattern and won't break the bank. Several stand-alone controllers for them too.

    The 7.3L I have seen for yrs at work. It reminds me of another engine platform, a LS. Lifters under the head, 6 bolt mains, one cam shaft! Nicely done Ford. I am a believer in the LS ,Ford finally went back to a single cam engine. Congrats!

    Engine masters did this test on a LS with aftermarket low profile manifolds and got impressive results.

    I’m so happy ford does this with their engines/trans. But, my biggest complaint: I understand building a “race car” is expensive. But I wish Ford had cheaper stuff. I could LS swap a mustang (which I would never) for way cheaper than doing something like this. I’m stuck with building a 4.6L over just swapping a 7.3. For now, at least…

      @@diegolp5323 No they don't. It's common in the F150 and mustang. GM put the LSx in everything that's why it's cheap.

      I think if you bought a new LS from GM performance there is not much if any differance in cost. But as you say if you start with a junk yard engine, the 200K LS is very cost effective,

      @@bigboreracing356 support sucks on the 6.2. it had fantastic potential. But it was left in a shed to rot. Ford even had a 777 version. 7.0l, 700hp, 7000rpm. They abandoned it. (HP n/a)

      The reason the factory intake manifold points up is because of the superduty. The Godzilla motor is so small and sits so low that there are some hoses and the radiator shroud that gets in the way.

    I was thinking it would gain 5-10hp so I was spot on. But besides the hp I was also interested in the torque department which it gained 15 ftlbs. All by just changing the angle of the throttle body. I can see truck owners upgrading to this manifold once it becomes production.

    Love the motor and the ability for easier maintenance. Would like to see one in a 1997-2003 F150 with stock tranny. I hate my 5.4 2V.

    Dang, looks like I made a bad choice jumping ship from Mustang to Challenger. I had 3 stangs, but wanted more torque with their bigger engine. But now they are going all electric and Ford is going back in time and bringing back even bigger ones and I hear they may even squeeze more out of the Coyote.

    Could they have made the snout about an inch shorter? Maybe in the final production version? Did it need to be long for a straighter airflow into plenum? I think the shorter the better for packaging.

      Looks like its a rear sump where the Mustang is a front sump oil pan.

      The engine is the rough size as a FE big block between the heads and a lot higher, even a Windsor 351 the heads are touching the shock towers on a 65/66 So no way unless removing the shock towers

    So what cam and/or power adder would keep that torque up top, all the way across, even if it gives up torque at the very bottom?

      Probably nitrous. A 150 wet shot should do it. Although centrifical superchargers have a better linear power curve. Not sure about torque at high rpm. You usually want torque low to midrange and hp at mid and high rpm.

    You alone know the results we the people only know you say it's much improved. We couldn't even get à clear view of the graph besides the fact everyone seems to make a big deal over Godzilla when truthfuly it's a big clumsy looking sci Fi looking thing. What ever happened to making big power in a small compact package with simplicity in mind rather than an engine that looks like it was designed by nasa. Technology should not compromise simplicity.

      Yes, they had that name first, and it is respected. The Ford engineering team named this engine Godzilla, no disrepsect to the Skyline. This engine came out in 2020 for your referance.
