So she hit the note as normal, then went up in pitch to her falsetto voice to restrict how much air she was using and push out the last remaining breath.

I feel a catch in my chest like I'm watching something life-changing. To pull this off live I guess is amazing, but it hits harder for me. I can't describe it.

Her other ear has also been deteriorating over the years, but with treatments and monitoring by doctors she has been able to keep her hearing functional and able to continue singing, but it is a constant battle for her to keep singing and to practice for her performances, because of her condition.

However, she hasn't done that yet. She does have other things to aid her, like a special sleeping alarm that doesn't rely on sound because otherwise she doesn't wake up. Other than that, I don't know much (Only what I've said in the first comment, which is from clips where Kanata spoke about her condition).
This is why I tell people hololive girls are different from most other vtuber corps, hololives girls are still virtual idols and do more than just play games. They all are still professional singers, dancers, or have some profession that they bring to hololive to make it better
