Sid I will say this again, you need to set up your own driving school for enthusiasts, you would be fully booked for a long time, love your passion for driving and the way you describe the feel a car communicates to a driver, food for thought for you
I cherish any car thats not oversized, has 2 doors, RWD, & is built for people who enjoy driving. Because there are so many stupid bland cars & SUVs on the roads these days.
Great video, you understand the GR86, it’s a very quick car down a B road, it’s exactly what you need today, 500HP cars are a thing of bragging rights, but I bet you could steer this car quicker from A to B in normal hands, I know because I got one….brilliant
As usual great review along with a little sideways motion. Since you mentioned car wow at one point maybe you could cover for Matt when he goes on leave. Just a thought, 😜👍🏾
stumbled by accident on your channel, watched 2-3 reviews. I can relate to the way you perceive and feel cars so, yeah, you've got a new sub. Keep up the good work man and congraz for a good channel!
Sideways Sid, I love your reviews mate, do you think you'd have a go at reviewing a Mazda RX8 (possibly the R3)? I think you'd be one of the only people to do it justice :)
I just bought the brz version here in the states. They're marked up quite a bit, so paying above mspr is a given. Unfortunately my plates have arrived yet, my temp tags are expired so I haven't had a real drive yet, just around the block.
Really need to see it on track, must be difficult to review a car like this. Having to do your job and critique it but knowing we are lucky in general to be receiving a back to basics sports car in this new age of EVs and SUVs! Has toyota given it an lsd as standard or at least as an option?
I'm happy with my manual N55 135i. RWD, Coupe, 6cyl turbo sound, 350hp, 280kmh... That said, I'd like to test drive a BRZ anyway. It checks the right boxes for fun driver cars.
The one thing I consistently see in reviews of this car are the drivers smiling while driving it. I bought one on a whim. I had a 1986 MR2 which I sold in 2012. I just assumed Toyota would build a piece of crap. I was in for a service and had a chat with my salesman and it was done. I did no research on the car, I just ordered one and it came in 6 months later. I smile a lot driving it. Now I watch a review a day. A lot of smiling drivers. Trueno Blue. Premium. Sweet.
Sid! - You’ve been away for so long that you owe us at least 3/4 videos a week or even daily vids. Keep at it till Christmas and you’ll take over the game Keep at it bro 👊🏽
It’s true but while it’s easily remedied the stock suspension setup is so good that I’m worried about ruining mine. I’m 50/50 on going for the Ohlins R&T kit.
To Sid absolutely love your content and your explanations of driving as an enthusiast not a professional but not a beginner either. I think yourself and Chris harris should have your own new bbc top gear. No fancy shit but you and him are the best car reviewers I have seen. In my opinion better than Richard James and Jeremy when it comes to just reviewing a car as the enthusiast wants it to be explained
Toyota has really been on a roll with models like the GR86 recently. I can see why it's been sold pretty quickly 😃😅

So well said. 👏. Ain’t that the truth!
Thx for this great video. I have my GR after 16 months waiting and enjoy every sec. Greetings from germany 💀
At last, someone who has commented on how well it turns in. That was one of the first things I noticed.
LV this guy's reviews there so informative and to the point. Top video keep it up SID👍👍

Oh yes - love a bit of sideways Sid. Looking forward to your thoughts on the Maserati 👍
Sid - just discovered your channel. Love your presentation style, pragmatism and enthusiasm!

Love the look of these

Great review 👍
Been waiting for this... The deja vu edition 🤣
Preordered mine last month. I can't wait man.
preordered ? how
@@taleent4700 through the dealership
You can order on the main Toyota site, but closing date I believe is today, 17th October. Hurry! It's worth it. I have one.
@@Lightandluck the only one i see is the gr86 2023 tho? sorry so much questions lol
LV to see that one Sid been a bellend in the gr86🎉
GR Supra manual is similar rarity in USA.

Torsen LSD is standard
It looks like a F-type Jaguar 🐆

🎉🎉🎉 You have a 135i proud of you bro

Awesome Video 🎉
You can still but these, 1000's more available in the UK than the original 450 thar came last year. Plenty on the aftermarket too
Nice vid siders
You say it comes with pilot sport 4 S and yet you show a pilot sport 4.
I think you meant to say pilot sport 4.
Would love one. Put my name down but gave up in the end and got something else
They're Pilot Sport 4 tires from factory...not pilot sport 4 S's
My bad.
Cheers 👊🏽
Like , Donna Noble said to the DOCTOR #10 * Proper Skinny 😂 .
Great quote! Big David Tenant fan!
Funny u say carwow the 1st advertisement was none but CarWow 😂😂
Sid we want sideways action!
What is it with people getting the tires wrong, they are PS4 not PS4S, the S are run flat and more expensive.
That fucking massive UK sticker bro haha
I love mine, but mine has a Subaru badge.
Sorry so few of are available in your market.
Would you choose GR86 over Civic Type R?
Yes if you want a lightweight true sports car that handles incredibly well. No if you want a 4 door family car that goes fast.
Yes, that Civic is not a sports car. It is a FWD 4-door sedan, and I don't care how many extra parts they throw on it.
Is this a trick question? CTR for sure!
@@moldyrefrigeratorThe plain civic no but the CTR was made as a sports car/sedan...
I love em.

Didn't you upload this a couple of days ago?
Back seat for a backpack. 😅 Not hauling friends... Youre meeting them there. The point is the drive. #bringbackcoupes
They are sport 4 not the 4S.
Yes, get these cars on a truck so u can do what sideways sid can do lol
That ride height is criminal, bigger arch gaps than a SUV! Nice motor though

Low and slow isn't a fun quality in a car
@@subiesnacks8446 indeed, but it can definitely go lower than it is and be fine. A lower Bilstein option is available from dealers in Germany.
@@subiesnacks8446 Nobody said low and slow 😂 My car has a 1 finger arch gap but because it's 3-way coilovers, it never rubs at any cornering speed.
