  • A barn find bus is restored... After some mechanical work to the breaks and a few other bits, Pete and I get to drive this epic vintage bus back to Malmsbury ... Some beautiful footage of the journey, a fantastic magic bus ride!

Wow I love these old buses. Spent so many hours on the old Bristol busses as a kid. They do have bus rallies once a year around Bristol.

I remember as a small boy going with my dad to deliver steering gears to Bristol Comercial he was the lorry driver for Burman & Sons of Kings Norton Birmingham.

I suppose these days there is soundproofing around engines which was unheard of then. I remember old buses in Chicago and the ones that ran on electric lines above. The new fuel buses were smelly and loud too. That's a lovely vehicle.

Oooh... I remember the “EL” I used it a few times to get around in the city ... it’s a really unique way to travel in Chicago... not many cities have that kind of infrastructure...

@@DubiousEngineering I rode the EL but the buses I was referring too from the sixties, were electric with attachments to wires above the street. They were phased out but they were very neat.

Bet the locals in Stroud loved that Bus, the A46 used to be a race track at the best of times...

Hahah... when you have a piece of history on the road in front of you, it’s nice to admire it... unless you have been behind it for 30 mins!! :-)
