    Had it in 2008, stopped working in 2014.
    Pics from those days are still looking great!

    I was planning to buy a compact camera. After seeing this video I decided which one I was going to look for and bought one for 9 USD two days ago.
    The only thing I didn't like about this camera is AF, but for the price I can easily say that its one of my best purchases so far.

    ı found one at my home but it doesn't work I have no sd card to use is it not work because I don't use sd card? are your cameras work without sd card ?

    • @HerbsVintageTech
      @HerbsVintageTech  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Yes, they work without an SD card. You can record a few photos in the internal memory. You most likely need to use better batteries. The S760 won't turn on with very cheap batteries or ones that are not new.

      @@HerbsVintageTech thanks for feedback really, I used Duracell as batterie but it didn't work anyway probably have bigger problem. ı also found a sd card try with them but still no respond

      @@lhofattomamma Next thing to try is if you have a slight film of corrosion on your battery contacts. This can happen over time if the camera is not used for a while. take some fine sandpaper or a screwdriver and lightly (!) rub on the battery contacts on the battery door. VERY carefully do the same thing on the contacts in the camera body. Do you have contact spray or WD40 in your house? If so, take a little drip of it on your finger and tap on the battery contacts. Put the batteries back in the camera and turn it on again. See if this helps.

      @@HerbsVintageTech actually I didn't give you details it's my fault. the little green light always on so I think its not about batteries before sd card there was not even green light but now there's little green light when I push the power button but nothing is happen but light

      @@lhofattomamma Do you have access to really good batteries, like Energizer Lithiums? Even if you just borrow them? I know you said you use Duracell batteries, but they have lower end batteries as well. If the camera was not on for a long time, it will charge the internal capacitor that keeps the time which will draw power. Did you leave the batteries in over night?

      @HerbsVintageTech  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If the batteries are weak, the lens won't open. Use a good, fresh pair of batteries and try again

    • @HerbsVintageTech
      @HerbsVintageTech  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@krazyeron2689 Digital cameras need good batteries and good batteries costs more, unfortunately. To test if your camera works, buy a good set of Alkaline batteries from a name brand like Energizer or Duracell. Stay away from the cheapest ones. Use them fresh out of the package, don't take them out of another device. Once you established that your camera is working, buy yourself rechargeable NiMh batteries, also from a name brand. I have good luck with Energizer NiMh batteries, especially the 2000 mAh version. The good thing is that you can use those batteries in other devices as well, so the money is not wasted if your camera doesn't work.

    Can you tell me how to transfer photos from the built-in memory to a flash drive? Otherwise, there is no cable for data transfer, when connecting a flash drive it says that there are no photos (does not see the built-in photos)

    • @HerbsVintageTech
      @HerbsVintageTech  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      As far as I'm aware, you can only transfer the photos in the internal memory with the cable.

    Do I need to use rechargeable batteries or can I just use normal AA batteries. The normal AA batteries were working just fine for a couple hours and now it won’t turn on. It said that a high capacity battery is recommended

    • @HerbsVintageTech

      Lithiums work fine. But I presonally use Energizer rechargeables. You can watch my video on the Pentax K100D. The batteries I show there work great.

      Hi there, unfortunately there is not much you can do. The acid from the battery probably corroded the contacts and/or lines and destroyed them. Have a look around maybe you can find a cheap replacement.

    I brought it for 3 dollars 😁 Does it support up to 32GB? The camera included 1GB memory but I plan to buy another one.

    • @wobogoat3379

      I am afraid it doesn't. I have the successor S860 and it only accepts SD cards, but no SDHC. So it's limited to 2 GB generally (in rare cases even 4 GB could work if you're very lucky).

    • @wobogoat3379
      @wobogoat3379 ปีที่แล้ว

      Uuups. I stand corrected. In the video it is said the S760 even accepts SDHC cards up to 32 Gb. Wow.

    • @HerbsVintageTech

      Do you mean the battery door? The door should slide out and open. There is not much that can go wrong actually. Whatever you do, don't apply a lot of force as the plastic taps that hold the door closed can break and then the door won't stay closed. You could upload a photo somewhere and I could have a look.
