Amazing photos as always. Also, what a beautiful exchange with that old lady. It was so clear by her facial expressions how much joy she was having in talking with you.
Been a while since you popped up on my feed, and I really enjoyed your commentary. As you are walking around, we are hearing your thoughts on what attracted you to the scene and how you compose your images. You've got a natural gift for this type of video.
Dear Adrien, I didn’t realize that you are at 27.000 subscribers, I watch your videos since when you where still in Switzerland. When I saw your channel for the first time I told my husband : this guy is good and he is going to grow fast… It was a pleasure follow your journey. Now you are doing so well. Keep going! Molto bravo! Ciao 👍😉
Nice cultural exchange there, I think she loved the fact that you took your time with her and explained your thought process as well. Great video as always!
It's a very pleasant walk, i'm finding myself really relaxed and interested, you definitely raise my desire to go out and shoot at every angle of city that looks so simple but so full of beautiness. Very nice job.
50mm est ma focal pref, tout est plus facile a cadrer et les proportions sont géniales. J adore ton channel et le mood du Japon ! bonne continuation du quebec
never gave any consideration of using a prime 50 for street photos so i'm glad that i came across some fine examples from your video. i'm certainly going to give it a try now.
I enjoy a lot you thought process videos because it is really helpful to see how you get awesome shots in daily life areas ! Photography isn't always about fancy places or landscape but light is everything :)
Interesting to hear your thoughts with your image taking. What stood out to me is that you usually have a clear idea for a picture, and then you wait for random person(s) to walk in the frame. Why is that important for you when you have a detailed and interesting composition already?
The scene at the end was so sweet, I think you made her day! Beautiful shots today! I need to pick up a 50mm for my next trip there, the 27mm was really wide and I struggled a lot with subject separation across all the wider open spaces.
Thanks, I am glad you like the videos. It is the Sony FE 50mm f1.8 indeed

Your photos are full of contrast, in a very, very pleasant way. I love your sense for spotting those contrast scenes. Anyway your photos then looks a little bit personalized. Could you share some video, how you are creating such photos (postprocessing)?
Reminds me of the Dogen skit. You didn't get jouzu'd by the old lady, but instead asked how long you've been in Japan. That's when you know you're truly fluent in Japanese
As always love the vibe of ur vids! Now I'm curious how did u learn Japanese by yourself? I know there're Genki books, but is there something else u can recommend?
Thanks! I went pretty hard with the mass immersion approach. I did not use any textbook and spent as much time listening and at a later stage reading true, Japanese media made for Japanese
@@adriensanguinetti Alright, I got u! This approach is actually what I used to learn English, but now learning Korean(mainly)/Japanese I feel like I still need to learn some fundamentals in order to start using MIA.
Great content! Thank you Can you tell your viewers what camera you use for your videos.....such a great resolution What cameras do you use..... I am a beginner and really love hearing from such good communicators such as yourself Both visually and verbally Once again thank u
Nice! I have a question about how you expose - you never ETTR, use Zebras (set to 109 lower limit) or the histogram even? I have recently started doing all three and I think my photos have a bit less noise now. I don’t know if it is a question or suggestion 😊 but nice video
撮っている所で話しかけらるなんて、僕だったら恥ずかしい。 優しいおばあちゃんだけどな。 Nice work! 👍 日本で写真をとる事は他国と違うと思いますか?I am always self conscious when I take photos, but maybe especially in Japan.
I really hope Sony is gonna release a new version of the 50mm f1.8 My copy is pretty sharp, but the autofocus is slow, inaccurate and pretty loud. If they could put a better autofocus motor in there then it would be awesome!
@@TH-camWatcher-t5x I have in the meantime, but it was waaaaay too expensive for the longest time. I got super lucky finding a second hand one in good condition that was relatively cheap.

Japan looks like such a nice country to take photos in. I hope I can visit it sometime! Great video :D
It is! I hope you can come one day :)

Thank you for sharing your thought process for each scene. I just stumbled upon this video and your channel, and I loved every single second of it.
Light in Japan seems to be so different in such a beautiful way.

Your photos have such a unique style and atmosphere. Love it!!

Absolutely love the way that you break down your thought process. Really helps me learn as a new photographer.
Thanks for your comment, more is coming ;)

Good point! Sometimes I admit it is not necessary but also sometimes I know it and take photos without people into them 👍🏻
This has become my favorite street photography channel, you have an amazing eye and I hope you continue growing and sharing your art! (:
I'm going to Japan in just over a week, and I was contemplating bringing my a7ii, but you have convinced me to bring it and my 50mm.
The scene at the end was so sweet, I think you made her day! Beautiful shots today! I need to pick up a 50mm for my next trip there, the 27mm was really wide and I struggled a lot with subject separation across all the wider open spaces.
you inspire me alot , I've put my camera in cabinet for two years because of no inspiration to go out taking photos. Thanks
i love the video and how you explain the whole things. thanks a lot, you deserve a follow.
Love this type of video. Keep up the good work sir!
intro so wholesome
I have to say your Japanese is very good! Just from watching from the first 10 secs I just had to comment how well it is.
i think there was a good composition at 13:35 where that person was running with the trees in the background
Good stuff, thanks for walking us through the process
Dope to see the local lady walk up and be interested.

Reminds me of the Dogen skit. You didn't get jouzu'd by the old lady, but instead asked how long you've been in Japan. That's when you know you're truly fluent in Japanese
Hahaha true! it still happens sometimes but I mostly get asked how long I have been living in Japan
That was very educational, thanks!
Loving the videos. Maybe you did a video already, but would love to hear about how you went about learning Japanese and ended up in Japan.
0:57 the street was very clean.

video molto bello! 👋👋
Hey Adrien I loved the video Maybe I missed it but what camera do you use foe the video itself?
I used a GoPro11 for the POV and other footage was taken on the Sony a7iv
Very beautiful photos. May I ask which brand of camera you used to take photos in the video?
That's beautiful.. Could you tell me please which camera mode are u using in this video?
What zone modes and focus areas do you use? Especially when trying to capture a subject with a shallow depth of field?
What is included in your membership?
what body camera are you using?
😎📸
❤
My I ask what gloves you have? They look comfortable but warm.
Got them in Muji in Japan 👍🏻
What about a video where you photograph places that were featured in Anime? (Kimi no na wa is a prime example)
Could be nice indeed! But this would require a lot of prep work and travel budget haha
