If you really want to enjoy his voice listen to For Island Fires and Family the acapella version. He's amazing and doesn't receive half of the recognition he deserves. He's more famous in Ireland and UK right now but eventually the US will catch up ;)

All his songs are originals. Hes pretty famous in Ireland and the UK, I have heard his music being played in the US too. Hes only released one album which was number 1. You should just search him in TH-cam and react to a couple of his songs. There is no wrong choice.

You'll want to check out For Islands Fire and Families by him, look for the version of him on a mountain. And yeah Dermot is really famous in the UK and Ireland, I went to one of his shows in Ireland that was 25,000 people. Right now he is opening for Shawn Mendes on his tour (a lot of his fans think he is too big to be an opener though but it should grow his base)

The backing vocals are his vocal samples played by his keyboardist. After hearing it, he says he knew he had to build a song around it and then this masterpiece was created. He just may be one of the (dare I say) top 5 singer/songwriters currently in the world.
