I sent this song to a friend this morning because her daughter is a songwriter and I knew she needed to hear this man. Come to find out that friend responds... that her brother picked his gf up from work the other day, and on the way home the car flipped and she did not make it. It gave me chills to hear that she would be passing the song along to him to help heal. I relistened with tears. It brought his music to life, and that's crazy because it was already full of life. Music Heals.

Must be the Tiny Desk Vibe... 'An Evening I will not forget' (4:39) became definitly one of my all time favorites! Hadn´t known him before and haven´t found a better performance of him so far! Not the first time I have discovered artists here with maybe their best performance ever! 👏
Accidentally clicked this & it’s the best accident I’ve ever made
You can tell when someone is in their Dahrma. This man puts himself into the song in his entirety, and it draws those who perform with him into it as well. What a moving experience to listen to him.
Exactly. His light is on full display while he's singing.
I could listen to this everyday for the rest of my life
Dear God the drummer. You can tell that that’s his life line with the passion in which he plays.
This man toured all over the world and we got to watch him in Dublin on Christmas eve. Without a shadow of a doubt the greatest concert I've seen
Live Dermot is something every damn person should experience. Transcends anything that can be explained
Fact
Dermot kennedy the goat. Been following this dude for a long time. Its nice to see him the recognition he deserves.
Omg his voice. The audio version doesn't do any justice to his vocals omg. The depth, the hurt, the bellowing! Amazing! I cant stop listening!
I experienced a kind of shock when I heard the first seconds of the first song. I feel blessed. Love to you all.
the way one of the back up singers looks at dermot while hes singing "an evening I will not forget"
seriously that is a mood!
I feel this in my SPIRIT!!! I am a FAN!!!
Spirit, indeed ;)
I really felt that performance. It was so soulful and deep. How refreshing to hear music of this quality, especially during such tumultuous times.
Unreal. Those backing vocals are top class too 👏
I love the way NPR and the tiny desk concerts give a platform to people I would not have never discovered otherwise. Incredible talent
At every radio performance Dermot has done, he and his team scout out amazing local background singers. I've seen so many of them and the background singers are always different - even when he goes back to the same city/station for a second time. I love them scouting out local talent.
Praise anyone who made this performance possible. I guess Dermot for starters. Love.
Great stuff! I feel like Tiny Desk Concerts are where all my unique music tastes meet up and show off. I've been introduced to a few incredible artists through this series and I'm a long time fan of Dermot and happy to finally see him here!
Nothing better than finding out an artist you hoped would do a Tiny Desk concert, does one. My eyebrows we're immediately in the raised position when I saw this posted. Chills.
The amount of talent in such a small space is incredible. Every single person here is flawless. This is by far my favorite live performance of all time. Such an amazing collaboration.
My only criticism... it's too short. I wanted it to just keep going. Please come back and do another with the same guys!
