All of them have lost a very important person due to this monsters actions. Frankly life in prison is still not enough for this crime. I believe even in your own religion, it is said that taking one life is like taking the lives of all of humanity and the punishment in the hereafter is grievous, and you’re advocating he be let out simply because he’s “sorry” and “changed”.

      In islam the ruling is 2
      1. Life for life
      2. Or pay blood money which is $100,000 each he killed.
      This is decided by the family of the people he killed. Sharia 2.0 for you. If he is lower the age of puberty, he will just pay blood money. In this case he is no juvenile( sharia define juvenile as younger than 12 below puberty age)

    • @nuur3272
      @nuur3272 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@aneesahussein1522
      Actually the first option is forgiveness, which is hard to do by any one who loses love one. Secondly, is the blood money (I'm not sure how much?. The last option is life for life (qisas). Ironically, the last option is best option for all parties. However, if the victims family decide to forgive, that doesn't mean th offender should walk out free. Islamic authorities usually imprison the bad guy for certain period for breaking the law.
      The crime occurred in the US. Sharia law does NOT apply.

    Due to a scholarship I received in Europe for studies at a University outside Seattle in the early 90s, I visited both Minneapolis, USA and Toronto, Canada, but then there was none of this that is described in the video, for most of the people originally from Somalia were either students or taxi drivers. I hope that leading Somali representatives, together with those concerned, will succeed in turning the situation around so that they can return home one day to contribute to the reconstruction of Somalia.

  • @aiyadwolf
    @aiyadwolf 2 ปีที่แล้ว +12

    I remember this well. Murders in the middle of winter. Franklin Avenue. Very sad and tragic. In Somali culture the age of adulthood is about 16. Girls marry at that age or younger. If he did it, he can stay in prison. Same with the young men doing time for their terrorist plot. If he’s innocent, meaning he wasn’t there, get the Fairview footage and prove his innocence. The other thing about Somali culture is that lying is common practice, like it’s acceptable. And no big deal at all. I did state mandated testing in a largely Somalian high school and my Somali students could not understand why I would call them out on cheating.

    • @clevergirl6041
      @clevergirl6041 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      I had the opportunity to work with the Somalian community early on in South Minneapolis, at The cedars back in the early 2000s and I agree with your statement completely ...
      when they first got here they were vacant to the fact that lying and being disrespectful was frowned upon 💯 it was a very difficult assignment, and it is ultimately why I vacated my stay in the americorps.. I had to work with that community, as a part of my community service with the Minneapolis public housing authority (where a lot of them were also being employed) and I wasn't available for what I knew was quickly going to become a s*** show, so I vacated that line of work quickly. Because the way my mind worked, back then 🤦🏾 I would have been in prison right now, instead of writing this comment 😂
      I went on to become a mentor a life coach and an addiction counselor... Verbatim
