I goddamn forgot fully mixed zapdos - tbolt, drill peck, hp fighting, filler. max attack, your favorite speed benchmark, rest in spatk, mild or hasty. really nasty with spikes.
A suggestion: If you added chapters (or whatever they are called) for each mon, it would be much easier to find the pokemon you are long for in the video.
@@BKCplaysPokemon I think he was referring to a new(ish) feature where on the timeline of the video itself (the red bar above the time remaining, settings, etc.) you can chop it up and add a little description of what each part of the video is by highlighting it with your mouse. Pretty much the same deal but it's just a nifty thing you can do that can be a little more convenient to look at.
Actually one of the best educational videos I have ever seen. Used to play ADV on Netbattle back in the day yet most of these sets are EVed very differently from then. Keep up the great work!
Gratz to 8k subs BKC, well deserved, and thanks for the moveset-guide on every pkmn in adv ou, it gives a more in-depth view about each and every single pkmn in gen3. :)
2:42:00 dont try to hide it from us, you mistyped gengar as gyarados and put in the same ev spread, realized it is gyarados and put an apropriate moveset
Would you consider doing a similar video for DPP OU? Even though i don't dabbld as much in this tier, your old gen content is always inspiring and informative
I am manipulating the TH-cam algorithm by commenting on this video. seriously though this video is great going to use it for my team building for gen 3. It’s my goal to have as many competitive Pokémon On a emerald cart as I can.
i love alakazam! it's always fun trying to balance its offensive strengths and its really good status moves, it's always fun (until pursuit rears its head)
I think my favorite Zapdos set is: 252 Modest Special Attack, speed for neutral 85 and the rest in HP and Thunderbolt, HP Ice, (Of course paired with Pert lures like HP Grass Gross) and Substitute Baton Pass to a Choice Band Focus Puncher, usually Medicham because I love Medicham, and I get the safety of Subpunch with the luxury of a Choice Band. And Sub can help Zapdos bank HP, avoid status, and pass a sub to a teammate if they switch in a Snorlax. (Medicham, doy)
Heal Bell is better on Blissey than Aromatherapy cause if it gets snatched/mimiced (can't get mirror moved) and the enemy has a soundproof Pokémon on their team then heal bell won't work for that mon while aromatherapy would
I thought as well as Charizards special attacking sets, it also ran belly drum. Have those sets fallen so out of vogue that they weren't even worth mentioning?
Interesting you mentioned Cross Chop having a +2 crit rate this gen since I made a comment about you skipping over that in your Snorlax GSC video, but is that still true? All I can find on it is a small caption on Bulb saying moves with an increased crit rate are +2 in Gen 2 only.
the power drop isn't justified since the stuff it tries to outspeed (slower zapdos/salamence/moltres) can easily outspeed it as well (zap/mence don't even need to use a positive nature)
In that specific set, Blissey has no way to hit Gengar, a mon which would otherwise get walled by Gengar bar explosion. Seismic Toss can't hit Ghosts in Gen 3 and your other moves are only status moves, which are beat by taunt. In that scenario, you're weak to Gengar by nature of your usual special wall having no way to beat Gengar only sit on it, so you need some kind of answer. In contrast, Ice Beam/TBolt would at least deal damage and force it out.
Is Char’s EQ immunity and Dragon Claw enough to completely eclipse Typhlosion (who gets Tpunch and neutrality to Electric when compared to Char) or is there something I’m missing?
yeah, typhlosion getting hit by spikes/trapped by dugtrio is a huge deal. blaziken is worth those weaknesses because it has stab fighting to immediately threaten ttar and blissey.
sceptile is frail and not strong enough to make up for its fragility (leaf blade is 70 bp) so generally he's outdone by celebi, who also has much better moves like calm mind. even jumpluff is a better subseeder because of sleep powder.
if you're looking to use it in adv id suggest a different natured tar , the only reason it runs timid is to outspeed certain pokemon on a dragon dance which it cant use. if you absolutely have to use it, a specially attacking pursuit ttar, with the extra investment put into whatever stats you'd like a little more in.
What’s your suggested move set for a Timid Tyranitar and EV spread I Just got him as a shiny and would like to keep him for my competitive team. I can't use dragon dance BTW. Thank you very much and appreciate it in advance
I goddamn forgot fully mixed zapdos - tbolt, drill peck, hp fighting, filler. max attack, your favorite speed benchmark, rest in spatk, mild or hasty. really nasty with spikes.
@Samadhan Jain yes absolutely
@BKC to be exact, 252 attck / 120 Sp. attck / 136 speed. is that right? or more on speed and less sp. attack?
with a lonely nature yeah that's fine
How bout Mixed Zapdos mild nature hp fighting, what exact ev spread should I put?
switch attack and spatk
also, lanturn (any moveset) destroys all these pokemon, so I recommend using it as well.
Lanturn is the best mon in adv ou
thanks for the tip, gonna run endure + flail + liechi berry on mine
I love that fucking lanturn is becoming an OU titan this is the funniest thing on the planet.

This video makes some of my favorite background noise still. Its just. Nice.
Heal Bell is better on Blissey than Aromatherapy cause if it gets snatched/mimiced (can't get mirror moved) and the enemy has a soundproof Pokémon on their team then heal bell won't work for that mon while aromatherapy would
aromatherapy will even tell your enemy that you have a soundproof mon on ur team if heal bell becomes the standard
which could even be bluffing
Focus punch is 100% reliable with destiny bond and is a good ttar check
Bless up BKC 🐐
Thank you so much dude!!
Thank you for posting!

It’s fun watching your videos as a let’s go player.
I thought as well as Charizards special attacking sets, it also ran belly drum. Have those sets fallen so out of vogue that they weren't even worth mentioning?
nah, drumzard has never been anywhere near viable as long as I've played adv
It's pretty good in gsc, if that's what you're thinking of
2 years ago the VR was really like “Skarmory is amazing it’s at least the 7th best pokemon in the tier”

as far as I know, it's still 25% in gen 3. if anyone wants to confirm/deny, that'd be helpful.
Can you do this for DPP? I know you’ve done that kinda but a more organized video would be cool
Why is Jolly Heracross so terrible? You never went much deeper beyond saying "it sucks". I'm interested in the deeper reasoning.
the power drop isn't justified since the stuff it tries to outspeed (slower zapdos/salamence/moltres) can easily outspeed it as well (zap/mence don't even need to use a positive nature)
Finally finished this monster of a video. Im gonna go play with Camerupt he sounds so cool

yes they are, they use something called pokemon showdown: play.pokemonshowdown.com/

If you add a 0:00 timestamp in your description it will add timestamps to the video
Are you going to do that kind of video in other gen?
Hey why sceptile isn't in ou?
He is the fastest sub seeder in the game plus it can hit super hard with grass any water.
sceptile is frail and not strong enough to make up for its fragility (leaf blade is 70 bp) so generally he's outdone by celebi, who also has much better moves like calm mind. even jumpluff is a better subseeder because of sleep powder.
