  • DEALING WITH POP-EYE LIKE A CHAMP! TREATING 240 GALLONS!!
In this video we’re dealing with pop-eye! We’ve all dealt with pop-eye in the fish hobby and if you haven’t, you quite possibly will! If you do, I hope this video will provide you with some confidence that it’s not only treatable but it’s nothing to stress over. Of course, that’s when caught at a manageable time! Pop-eye comes from injury, bad water parameters, stress, bad diet and a few other reasons. Treating pop-eye with a general cure isn’t recommended but using a more specific medication like melafix has worked for me time and time again. Treat for as long as needed, and keep your water conditions in order! If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask. If you learned something or enjoyed the video. Should have cleaned all the gravel and done a massive water change before medicating.... Need to do a lot more water changes... It's a bacterial infection behind the eye which is very close to the brain...melafix isn't very strong I would use something stronger for infection..I used esha hexameta on a discus and was gone in two days...melafix is a week antiseptic... It's OK for scraps and rotten fins and stuff but not hardcore infection...

Brodie!!! Take him and the Veja out, treat them in a smaller tank so your not wasting money on all those meds. I’m a smaller tank add salt along with meds and raise temp to 80-82 for 3 days. Trust me Bro, it will save you time and money!

Yeah, raising the temperature to 80+ will help, but you don't need to add in any salt. What the fck is wrong with you telling him some stupid sht like that?

@@JAYO96SS Yeah, you're right about that. I apollogize for kind of going off on you. It's not like I'm some expert on fish care/ keeping either.

@@moseskongi4746 no offense Bud. Everyone does there own things so I was not offended. Again, just my experience and even then my quarantine was a 75 gallon tank with minimal aquarium salt.
