    Ninja really nailed it down with this device. That said, I'll wait until the price comes down. A little bit too expensive for a portable unit.

    #1 thing not to do with any Ninja product,use metal utensils!Always use plastic/silicone or wood utensils.

    Loved your video - we got the woodfired outdoor grill on 9/1 from a preorder and have been testing up a storm. We loved a Santa Maria tri-tip and found the information that you can add pellets during a cook and just hit the "flame" button for 3 seconds to get another ignite. We got awesome smoke and a perfectly cooked tri-tip using the built in thermometer

      That's a great tip on the pellets!

    Thank you for your instructions. I received my Woodfire yesterday, and cooked hamburgers today. I put garlic butter on the bun and grilled it. Then I started the smoke. I smoked two burgers on high (400F). I added a little charcoal to the rub. Melted Cheddar cheese. Great juicy burger, pink in the middle and delicious taste. Next time I will cook the buns when I start the smoke, to save a bit of time.

    • @GrillingMontana
      @GrillingMontana  ปีที่แล้ว

      Congrats on your first cook! The smoke is a little much for me, and I will be experimenting with using a portion of the recommended amount of pellets in the future. With that- if you love smoke (and smoked burgers are typically amazing) consider grilling on the low setting with smoke enabled after preheating, or a similar setting as the longer the burger sits in the smoke, the more flavorful it will get.

      This is easier to use (and clean up), than my pellet Joe. I live alone and only cook for me.

    I've got mine on pre-order, thanks for the vids. Just a heads up - I would advise using silicone utensils on any Ninja grill/griddle plates. The metal can scratch the non-stick and I *think* it also voids the warranty.

    I tried burgers the other night. I shut the lid as soon as I put them on and they plumped up and turned in to meat balls. Could it be because I shut the lid for the whole cooking time ?

    • @GrillingMontana
      @GrillingMontana  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The plumping of burgers is something I haven't completely solved yet, but I have noticed two things. If the burger is cooked over really high heat, and is somewhat thick, they are almost guaranteed to plump up. All of the foodi grill products have powerful, compact cooking areas which are really efficient. I would try smashing your raw patty thinner and turning the heat down somewhat. You may sacrifice 5% of your grill markings, but they shouldn't plump as much. Having the lid closed only makes the food cook quicker so that wasn't helping your cause-

    Shy, $400! Too expensive! I have 3 different ninja grills. One does pretty much the same, only thing does not-smoking. Ninja, kinda got greedy?

    • @GrillingMontana
      @GrillingMontana  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It would be hard for me to argue with you on the price because that's subjective to the person making the purchase. However, even without the smoking feature, this grill is superior for what it is. Take a look at the new weber pulse electric grill that comes dressed out at $1200+ and suddenly $400 seems reasonable.
