- Some people play games for the stories they tell, some play them for their visuals, but of course, it goes without saying that for the majority of people out there, what makes or breaks a video game is the sort of action it delivers through its combat.
Though good action isn’t a non-negotiable necessity for a game to be good by any means, it is something that large numbers of players tend to be on the lookout for in the games that they play- and it can come in many different forms. From shooters to games focusing on melee combat, from indie gems to underrated AAA releases, here, we’re going to go over a few more games with excellent action games that you should play.

The Saboteur is one of the best back then. it needs a remake.
I wouldn't say that Astral Chain is underrated as it was one of the best received games on Switch in 2019.
Some games worth a mention imho would be:
Steelrising, Darksiders III, Terminator: Resistance, Ultra Age, Blades of Time, Viking: Battle for Asgard.

I loved Quantum Break, Dead Island 2, Binary Domain. Glad I'm glad I'm still able to play Binary Domain on Xbox with the backwards compatible games. Wish was able to play older PS3 like that on my PS5😢
Well it wouldn't be a problem if you had a pc instead of both consoles

Binary Domain is the best "Terminator " game I have played to date!
Any platinum game that stays specifically and exclusively on Nintendo if you haven't noticed tends to not get enough people to play it. They should port it to pc and steam.

Just getting into action games recently, and I loved this list! Thanks for sharing this! I’m still exploring, but I stumbled upon Vulcan Creed, and it’s surprisingly fun. Not sure if it’s well-known, but I’m really enjoying it so far. Anyone else tried it?
Dead Island 2 definitely surpassed all my expectations! I preordered the game and I was worried that it was not going to be a good game! Thank god I was wrong!
Absolutely loved and enjoyed Surge 1 and Surge 2
Never got to play the Alice games. Would love a remaster to experience them. Especially the second one.

When action games focuses on melee combat, it has to feel right. I want to feel like I'm fighting, not doing a Tae Bo exercise on repeat.
Played almost all of these. Yes, some bangers on this list.
Evil West is cool but takes too long until you unlock all the cool abilities, and what’s up with all the red? Goddamn.
Don’t sleep on Rollerdrome, shit gets hard after a few arenas.
About to start my 3rd play through of Dead Island 2, that game is so fun and looks great. Haven’t played the new DLC yet

Enslaved and Binary Domain are on Steam and I think samurai Jack is too.
Scarlet nexus was AMAZING .. I deff recommend it

Be proud. Some of the best games ever are games that didn’t sell well.
I'm glad to see the Heavenly Sword didn't make the list. I always see it on lists of underrated games and I personally think it's overrated

Maybe becaue for some ppl they won't interested, some ppl only play a specific specific genre and some ppl have limited funds to purchase all the games they need
ghostwire was such a let down shoulda just made evil within 3 and possibly tango would still exist.
Not everyone wants kids dude ,my excuse the way the world is today,and every chick I meet already has one or multiple,so people without aren't missing out on a damn thing , one thing I remember though is when I seen my buddies baby being born at hospital I cried so yeah I think I'm covered.

Statistics. If a game didn't do very well commercially, chances are good you haven't played it. And if you have, then you're not the target demo of people who only really play blockbuster releases.
Most of these games are not that interesting 😕
Quantum break is good if you are into Sci-fi and time travel storyline.
Not sure about other games on the list.
