Almost didn't go to this show because I didn't ever wanna see BBS without Brit. These cover songs they did made this such a special moment. I thought their sold out Fox Theatre show couldn't have been beat. This entire show I wish I could go and re experience
That was special! Saw Charlie do an interview where he cited Eddie as an influence which surprised me. Saw them do Fairies Wear Boots in Birmingham last week. Coolest band on the planet by miles, as cool as Van Halen were 79-81.
Nice touch with all the VH super strats. A far cry from the typical Gibson lineup for BBS. A great job for sure!! A fitting tribute to the King!! RIP EVH and of course, RIP Britt!
Bloody Awesome!!!!!! BBS is my fav current band out there and VH my fav Hard Rock band. How great that they cover this tune for Brits Tribute :) Oddly enough as well, Im buying the guitar Charley is playing next week. Too funny :)
@leeh-xh1iw so haven't I. I love Butch's passion and his talent. This is one of the best covers I've seen. I'm going to see Butch in November, can't wait.
Thank you so much David and Mary. I kind of figured you'd be there. This concert was on fire and with good reason. So much love. And so many tears, but with JOY in honoring Brit. JOY, compassion, energy, respect, .... JOY. Merci from the bottom of my heart! From France.
Man I’m glad you went the other way ! Lol ! I’m 63 years old and I’ve been a struggling musician all my life and never made it . Hats off to y’all ! Just watched your homecoming concert ! You’re music has it all ! From Allman Brothers to Skynyrd to outlaw country ! Enjoy it while you can !
Um...... WTH? LOL I never thought I'd see or hear this happen! But it did! And I think this is super cool. These guys are players. Their music sounds absolutely nothing like the Might Van Halen. But they rocked this tune! Excellent musicianship. Totally rock and roll. Killer! Love it. Love seeing those 3 guys rocking the EVH Striped series guitars too! How cool is that?
Cool video. I just saw Sammy Hagar a couple of nights ago in Nashville, and it was basically a VH tribute show. So it was pretty cool to see this on my feed today. 👍🏼
Just watch Butch. He interacts with EVERY member of the stage. Having seen him many times he probably had to keep himself from climbing on the kick drum (he does that alot).
Man what a bummer☹☹ . Britt was my buddy a long time ago. Me & Richard didn't get along that well. But my heart still goes out to you Richerd .No matter what . I'm proud of you guys .
they had so much fun!

Wow. I’ve never seen a group match the subtly complex timing and ineffable joy of the song before. Magic,

@@troyrolfe3771 He did a great job and like you said the best cover of DTNA he bought a lot of energy to the stage and song
I was fortunate enough to have been in a band that opened up for BBS in 2010..I played on Brit's kit minus the snare and the cymbals.
That was cool 😎 more cow bell !!
Awesome version !!!!!
Best cover of VH I've ever heard well done
Butch is a beast on vocals and guitar. Amazing version. What a performer
This is great…
Man, this is great! I hope this is played at my funeral! Charlie star and blackberry smoke playing the EVH!!!
What a blast!
Beautiful and of course condolences.
Great whistle scream at 37 seconds.
Dude is amazing!
Awesome job!!!
Have loved this song for 45 years
I saw the Van Halen Women and Children First tour, and this was pretty damn good!
INCREDIBLE
Fabulous!
I seen Butch Walker open for Avril in KC many years ago. He was great!

Actually, I thought they did a pretty good job of it. Those women on harmonies were great :)
@@shadeshadyshade254 Totally agree. They sounded great and that f*n chorus - that was spot on.
That's called leaving it all on stage ! Heckuva job Butch and BBS
Cool video. I just saw Sammy Hagar a couple of nights ago in Nashville, and it was basically a VH tribute show. So it was pretty cool to see this on my feed today. 👍🏼
A friend turned me on to blackberry smoke and I learned 5 of there songs. I want to jam during sound check
Ed would have LOVED this!! F*ckin AWESOME!!
Butch never phones it in.
Incredible
What a performance!!
Absolutely one of the best covers I've ever seen BBS do and that singer is spot on !
We Love Britt
Butch is the king.
This video looks as aged as me. Loved the Trav back in the day. 1982 when I discoverd him.
impressive. #TheMightyVanHalen
Not enough guitar players!
WOW 🎶👏
Just watch Butch. He interacts with EVERY member of the stage. Having seen him many times he probably had to keep himself from climbing on the kick drum (he does that alot).
holy shit. this is great. way better than hagar's tribute tour...
this is great
Who is this? They killed!!! Wow so good.
no clue who the hyper dude is but HELL YEAH . RIP EVH .
Butch Walker. He was lead guitarist for a band called SouthGang way back in the day. Check them out. They were good.
@@jon1550 He's also one of the best producers in the world.
Nice job!

Never seen so many striped guitars
My first 45 I bought I think it was 99cents didn't care what song was on the other side
Who's Brit?
Is that Butch Walker, the producer?
Yes and performer. I've seen him live probably 15 times.
have the entire show to share ?
Who is Butch?
One of the great rock performers. He produces everyone from Greenday to P!nk to the Wallflowers and Ashley Monroe.
Congrats to the tap harmonics master and the slightly overenthusiastic guy (Butch W. ?)
What's all the fuss?
It was damn good boss no bd
