I first saw him in Perth in 87 at some flea bitten pub. A 3 piece band all dressed in black leather head to toe, kickin ass on the guitar. Didn't realalize who it was till he made it big a couple of years. latter.
Trying to get Bass tabs for this song. Even reached out to Johnny Dalzell from Johnny Diesel and the Injectors. He couldn't remember, hasn't played it since the Injectors broke up. Just remembers that it opened the album, and most shows. Also the record company didn't want it as a single, even though the band unanimously did. Mark hated crying shame, even though it was their most successful single.

He is using a silver falcon in the clip with barnsey which is a hollow body gretsch but i'm pretty sure this one is a vintage duo jet (solid body gretsch)with dynasonic pickups but they both sound amazing regardless!!

The band Thunder formed in 1989 and released Dirty Love in 1990. Johnny Diesel and the Injectors wrote “Lookin for love” before Thunder even formed. (The song was released as a single in 1989 having been recorded in Memphis in August 1988) While Diesel (The solo artist, not the band) performs in this clip filmed in the 2000s, he is the original songwriter and performer of it.
