Thank you so much for posting this longplay. I recently finished all the Halo Master Chief Collection campaigns on PC and it was a bummer to find out Halo 5 wasn't on PC. I really needed to satisfy my Halo "rush" and see what this game was about, even if I heard it wasn't that great.
This was the best longplay I could find of this game. It doesn't seem like much, but I really appreciate you taking the moments to take in the spectacle scenes, like the Kraken or the Guardians or just the really good scenic shots. Others would breeze right past them but since I'm unable to play this game on PC, I wanted to really see what it was I'm missing, and this delivers it in the best way.
The Arbiter needs his spin-off Game after Halo 3! While the UNSC was busy rebuilding what was destroyed as well as rebuild their military, The Arbiter and his Elite brothers return to Sanghelios (Elite Homeworld) to continue fighting the remaining remnants of the Covenant. Perhaps this story/game could fill most of the plot holes leading up to Halo 4 & Halo 5…

The more i look at the lore, the more pissed off i am with Locke being able to match chief in strength to strength. Hell that was Mjonir Armor and a 30 years ascendant veteran. You would think Chief would overpower a spartan IV like a rat and an elephant.
yes but since this channel only does console games it will be the ps2 version, which i have recently finished recording so it will be up on this channel at some point in the future
When infinite comes out we gonna find out that the take over the everything Cortana is one of the rampant personalities from 4 and our Cortana is either gone or out there somewhere I'm probably wrong but it's just a feeling

The player seems to be a speedrunner. For a longplay made for others to watch, he/she missed every single epic scenery, futuristic city in the background or explosion in the sky. I mean, it has to be on purpose.
Another one of those, where it isn't quite clear to me why people hated the game so much. If the series is to continue the Chief needs enemies to fight. Covenant is done and over already, Prometheans had no reason to be enemies after the Didact died and Flood is erradicated. This is a sensible way to set up the conflict for the final of the second trilogy. And it's also a good follow-up to the journey that Chief and Cortana took in 4 where the writing really first started exploring their relationship a bit more. But I guess fans are often quite toxic if things don't go the way they want. The writers for Dragon Age 2 got harassment and death threats to themselves and their families to the point some of them decided to leave the industry all together. The actor for Anakin in Star Wars Episode 1 got so much hate that he turned suicidal at before he even reached puberty. And so many more examples to be had. This is not your story. You are only along for the ride. 'The story is shit' is not an opinion, it's the lack of actually trying to engage with forming an opinion.
I think the main points of friction are 3: Locke being disliked (for me is just so-so, kind of boring character whose only memorable characteristics are that he dares to punch the Master Chief and think that he could kill the Arbiter), the prometheans not being an interesting enough enemy (more like plagiarism of the enemies in Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance) with weapons that are not unique enough, and finally 343 changing every single aesthetic detail they could find, to the point of making this universe almost unrecognisable. Turning the graceful elites into orc-like beings was bad enough. That said, despite those questionable elements I think the game is great, but I understand that they wanted something different for Halo Infinite.
@@Salted_Fysh I think the creators vs created theme has been already abused in fiction too much. To center Halo, a saga traditionally about alien empires, around this theme might seem too cliche, although I think it serves to make the relationship between the Chief and Cortana more interesting. Also, nobody likes Spartan Locke.

Right? Came here just to watch this to see what happened in 5 after starting infinite on PC and being blank on some of the story elements
Well now you can play on PC with Gamepass cloud service, the resolution isn't too good but the input delay is minimum at least for me.
This was the best longplay I could find of this game. I just finished watching the Halo 4 Longplay. The ending had me in tears. And then the great reveal at the end? I'm looking forward to this.

To be honest, I've long since concluded Halo fans are just unpleasable. Come to think, seems most fandoms are nowadays.
