    Thx so much for this. Please do more like this. Watching your workflow is very helpful. The pro tip that I learned was that you were placing hi pass filters on sounds DURING PRODUCTION! I always left this to the mix phase and - of course (now I know this) - end up with all kinds of masking and muddy productions that I have to wrestle with for hours to make them sound good. Thanks again! Please do more like this. The beat is hot, but I learned more from your workflow than I expected from this video.

    I think it is cool... has potential
    Its amazing how you just jump from track to track and know exactly what you 'll use...
    I would be VERY nice to have a video from scratch to finish. Perhaps 2 videos, one from scratch and another one mixing and mastering... well done Sean

    Nice beat Sean quick question.When you recorded the kick and snare it showed you recorded it on the same track. But when you was done it put the second drum on its own track below. How is this done when i use battery they all stay on one track and i have to route audio outs to each channel to be able to mix it. but you just did this with ease lol

    • @SeanDivine
      @SeanDivine  7 ปีที่แล้ว +20

      hey Linndz it's under recording settings - set midi cycle to create tracks

      After it separates the drums is there a way to control the volume for each track separately? When I move one knob it moves all of them

    • @modulardog7498
      @modulardog7498 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Have you set the instrument to multi out? Then within the instrument assign each sound to its own out. There's a little + at the bottom of the instrument track in the mixer when it's a multiout, click that to add the output tracks if they're not auto created

    Light & sound separations:
    White light can be separated into different color lights by prism (science). Can a song be separated (mp3, AIFF, Wave) into each different instrument track and vocal track by the computer software (art)?

    • @SeanDivine
      @SeanDivine  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      interesting question! there are ways to extract elements with certain plugins and software, although the results and quality can vary. I just did a video on a plugin called Regroover Pro that uses AI to extract individual layers from loops - th-cam.com/video/8vFsKseO6dc/w-d-xo.html. I guess we'll see how all this progresses in the future :)

    I need to buy the battery 4 plugin or does logic pro already have drums in the software without paying for something else? Is it worth it to just pay for a drum plug-in like Battery 4?

    • @SeanDivine

    Which keyboard is better for logic in your opinion? M-audio oxygen 49 or nektar impact lx49 ? Because I order the m-audio oxygen, it's on the way, but then I saw the nektar. Is the nektar really worth exchanging ? Appreciate it !

    • @scroez
      @scroez 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's impressive mate, I originally bought this Mac for Art/Design etc... It's an iMac (21.5-inch, Late 2013) 2.9.. i5, 8 GB Ram, & a slow 5400 rpm HH... I love logic though, after getting into logic, after years of being interested in making music.
      I'm not sure if to continue using this with an external SSD drive, I can't upgrade the Ram though. or just save up for a new 27inch iMac, EG a new model 2017, I know it will be future proofed, or buy a second hand 27 Mac. Cheaper with decent spec's?
      Anyway, Cheers & Keep rocking man...
