I'm since 1959! I have really enjoyed your journey. It has reignited my love of LEGO. The D&D figs are the best set that LEGO has put out out. The number of new molds, 4 sided printing, and parts included is far above the other CMF sets. I don't normally buy more than one or two extra figs, but this time, I was so blown away that I couldn't stop myself. Lol I may have to build a fantasy restaurant in my town so that they can fit it better. Lol😊
I love minifigs and customizing them! Glad to hear that you’re loving Castle/Fantasy theme. That’s all that I build. I’ll be getting some of those D&D CMFs for parts for sure. My factions are Black Falcons, Forestmen and Wolfpack. I love collecting the recent Basil the Bat Lord CMF whenever I can, and the Snow Guardian. I’ve got a whole arctic village in mind for those minifigs. That’s mainly what I collect and build, villages for my factions. Glad to see you having so much fun 😊
I'm a big fan of my local (ish) Bricks And Minifigs store. I highly recommend making friends with the owners/staff of those and the official LEGO store if you have one.
Already "pen pals" of the manager of the Lego store, and I know the staff of Bricks and Minifigs by name. Great people--and that's good advice. Cheers!
In my area, Facebook has a section called marketplace. Many people sell old Lego their kids don’t play with anymore and etc. I actually started my Lego journey 7 years ago, at age 65, by buying a young man’s collection of approximately $2000 worth of Lego for $275. I have since purchased lots of Lego this way, which was huge savings and an amazing experience at the same time. Many people sell just Minifigs on there as well. Although my main focus is “City”, I also have a few castles, a medieval village and residential area, a port and 6 trains. Welcome to the old geezers club.🤠😊
Younger AFOL here. I stumbled across your channel a couple weeks ago, and I am really enjoying it. It is nice to see someone just genuinely discovering and discussing the joy that I feel using Lego to de-stress and as a creative outlet. Love your focus as a Lego ambassador to seniors, but i think you will be picking up a lot of younger subscribers along the way too. Looking forward to seeing your fantasy worlds develop!
Not a senior, but I like your content. Minifigs are fantastic. Keeping your senior audience in mind, buying Minifigures on a fixed income can be easier than buying sets which can get quite expensive. The collectable minifig series are great b/c at $5 you can get a neat figure. eBay can be a good place to find minifigs. People often sell minifigs individually or in lots. You can search Lego minifigure lot, then filter by price or whatever. I've gotten many that way. My wanted figs are the king that you showed as well as the series 3 elf ranger.
Thanks for your ideas. Ebay is a good one. I bought some small builds in the castle theme off FB marketplace this week--video coming on that. Happy building!
I really like the niche you've carved out with your videos and keep coming back for more! As a suggestion, you could consider adding Amazon links to the products you're using in your writeup-like the storage container, for example. You might eventually earn some affiliate kickbacks from Amazon too. Thanks!
I could tell you that the skirt was me "customising" the minifig, but I'd be pulling your leg. What you say makes perfect sense. Thanks for correcting me!
I’ve currently got a 2007 castle theme display going… around 300+ minifigures from that theme after like 4 months of collecting, I pay about $8-10 for each of those trolls, there is an exclusive Armour piece for the trolls that is nice if you can get your hands on one
Been a Lego fan since 1977 when I was a kid but over the adult years I tried to hold back which didn't totally but I didn't have a huge collection. I found a bunch incomplete stuff at goodwill and that's when I discovered the world of used Lego. As another commenter said the D&D minifigs are the best yet. Of course once I got my group of characters together they needed something to fight and whats better than a dragon. My search soon showed that there are many Lego dragons I really only liked the one from the very expensive D&D set. But I was at the dollar general lookin at the Lego and I saw the green 3 in 1 dinosaur set and bought 2. Built the tail, body, back legs and head /neck then built the second body and flipped the legs around put the 2 bady sections together with 2 stacked ball joints and added a bit more to the head added some horns to the head and a second neck section and walaa I now have a dragon. I am going to use the wings from the ninjago green NRG dragon. $32 and a few extra parts I had not too bad. Welcome to the world of Lego its all fun from here.
Wow, that was a GREAT tip, thank you. As always say, I'm the last guy on eart to discover these things. I used lens at Bricks and Minifigs yeasterday and it worked quickly and perfectly! I appreciate your help. Cheers!
Yes, good point. I have yet to really study the minifigures. I do have a few small Friends sets for my grandaughter in the future, and I'm excited that I found a couple of used ELVES sets which are great. Cheers!
I see you love the medieval minifgs / fantasy minifigs. Not sure if I suggested this before, I am sure I suggested you try out nexo knights, but you should look for lose minifgs from that series or small 1 minifigs packs from magazines. The villains rea really good (fire demon imps or stone warriors / gargoyles)
I have collected 4 bootleg minifigs which one broke but it's okay. Also if you want to take it up a bit, you can do stop motion, it can take a lot of time but you can have fun with it and you can also upload it to TH-cam. Hope you have fun!
Hey there . Boy what you can do with minifigs . I just took 9 Muppets and turned them into avengers . Fortnite is really making me want to turn all my minifigs into Fortnite figs . Ah Lego ,don't you just love the sound of bricks clicking together . At your Bricks and Minifig store, don't they have a build a minifig place in the store ? Always remember the Golden rule . Never step on a Lego brick ! Take care
I love your videos and I have suggestions for your fantasy oriented theme try buying sets and Minifigure from the legend of chima theme they're like humanoid animals in a fantasy world which every animal has a kingdom also add serpentine Minifigures from the Ninjago theme they're humanoid snake tribes and each tribe have a general with a golden staff and a snake tail piece for legs and there is the terracotta Army which they are a samurai army from the Ninjago theme too I really love your content keep up with your fantastic Lego land

That is awesome! Yes, I agree that this CMF set sets the bar high! So many great figures. Cheers!
The first word in the video sums up Lego as a product 'imagination'.
Isn't that the truth? Happy building!
Incredible
Minifigures are definitely my favorite part of lego. There’s unlimited possibilities!
I'm just discovering that. So much fun! Thanks for posting!

What a great way to gather some Lego! Thanks for the tip!
I love the way you tell these little stories
Thank you! I'm having fun! Cheers!

I like to build and collect brickheadz, but haven't been into minifigs yet.
I've yet to explore brickheadz, but they look interesting! Cheers!

Great video my Friend! The skirt pieces are backwards. The slope is supposed to be on the back . Keep the great videos coming !
I could tell you that the skirt was me "customising" the minifig, but I'd be pulling your leg. What you say makes perfect sense. Thanks for correcting me!
Another great watch. Thankyou and make a great day.
Thanks so much for watching! Cheers and happy building!

Very cool. Thanks for sharing. Your collection sounds amazing!

I'll need to start checking Goodwill--great idea! I like the look of the Ninjago dragons but don't know much about them. Thanks for posting!
Google lens is a good source as well for identifying minifigures
Wow, that was a GREAT tip, thank you. As always say, I'm the last guy on eart to discover these things. I used lens at Bricks and Minifigs yeasterday and it worked quickly and perfectly! I appreciate your help. Cheers!
💯!
Thank you!
Love the content keep up the great videos very entertaining and informative 🤙
Thanks for watching. I appreciate the support!
And don't forget, the minidolls often have unique hair pieces, and some hand held items, usable with mini figures
Yes, good point. I have yet to really study the minifigures. I do have a few small Friends sets for my grandaughter in the future, and I'm excited that I found a couple of used ELVES sets which are great. Cheers!
I wish there were bricks & minifigs down under😢
Maybe just in USA I guess. But it's such a great idea and there is certainly a market for secondary market Lego.
I'll do that--thank you! I was not aware of Next Knights. I'll keep on the lookout.
Try what not for collecting minifigure as well
Thanks for the tip! Cheers!
I have collected 4 bootleg minifigs which one broke but it's okay. Also if you want to take it up a bit, you can do stop motion, it can take a lot of time but you can have fun with it and you can also upload it to TH-cam. Hope you have fun!
I have tried some stop motion--fun! Thanks for your ideas!

Yes, the store has a "build your own" table, but it is cleaned out on parts--they have to restock! Thanks for posting!
Glad I could help .
I love your videos and I have suggestions for your fantasy oriented theme try buying sets and Minifigure from the legend of chima theme they're like humanoid animals in a fantasy world which every animal has a kingdom also add serpentine Minifigures from the Ninjago theme they're humanoid snake tribes and each tribe have a general with a golden staff and a snake tail piece for legs and there is the terracotta Army which they are a samurai army from the Ninjago theme too

Great tips. Thank you. I've already been adding some Ninjago and will look into others. I appreciate your post!
