I was one of those kids that loved both Ninjago and Chima. I feel like most Ninjago or Chima fans like one or the other. Chima gives me so much nostalgia. I wish they would bring it back. I absolutely loved the buildable figures of Chima. I still have my Laval figure.
@@disneygirl5577As mentioned in the vid, rebooted took back the Ninjago fans that came across to chima. I think if it got another year or two before Ninjago came back it could have stuck around longer
Kind of a shame that Chima was not as popular, because I think they had some of the best minifigs, favorites for me that were on par with my clone army
Chima is like really underrated honestly, that series had a lot of potential. I really enjoyed it and I still do. I just wish I had a second chance to redeem itself.
I still have my 9 year old encyclopedia book of all the characters from the show. Which was the VERY beginning of me having an interest of anthropomorphic animals. Then I ended as a furry 6 years after the show ended, lol.
I had the bear vehicle lego set and I think that was one of my favorite sets of all time. Also the scorpion one with the gold minifig brings me so much nostalgia
Fun fact apparently the Serpentine are from Chima hence why there were no snakes in show Plus its possible the great devourer's mother might've been a legend beast
Isn't it possible that the Great devourer itself was a legend beast before it was corrupted by the overlord? I personally think that's the case, and the overlord corrupting it was why the serpentine left chima.
Chima is my all-time favorite LEGO theme! I don't necessarily think it should've replaced Ninjago, but I do wish it had stayed around for another few years and explored new ideas.

I literally can't express how much I love Lego Chima. Don't get me wrong, the Ninjago TV show is better, but the Lego Chima sets are in my opinion WAYYY ahead of the ninjago sets and just overall much more fun with the amount of play features they have. I love what Ninjago is doing now with Dragons Rising and I hope so very much that they bring back Chima in a way that's as big as possible. Also, I really hope that one day, Lego is gonna reboot Chima but I kinda don't believe in it anymore. I do think it would have been better to reboot Chima in comparison to Lego Dreamzzz, especially with the Chima Show theoretically being connected to the Ninjago set and at the end, have a giant crossover or something. That would be the most hype any Lego Shows would ever have in my opinion.
I totally forgot that these existed, but these sets were such a big part of my childhood that i recognised half of them. Thank you for bringing these memories back. I had so much fun with Fluminox and Ares fire eagle
I was there day one for both themes, and I feel the reasons I stuck with Ninjago and not Chima are pretty easy to describe in hindsight. For me one of the biggest issues with Chima was the show. It just wasn't as good as Ninajgo. Ninjago not the citizen Kane of Tv or anything, but it has consistently understood how to hook its audience. I was a kid when Chima came out, and even as a kid I knew Chima's writing wasn't as good. In the first episode, I remember Laval and his friends are playing hide and seek, and acting like very young children, but they physically looked like adults, which really bothered me. The Ninja were pretty childish characters, but they still acted like older teens and the show felt like it was dealing with some heavier story telling in a way younger kids could digest. I really didn't like that the sets sold the story as a conflict between these two former friends, but the show just had Cragger under Mind control by his sister with a magic plant. There was no sense of stakes or consequences. None of Chima's villains were ever as compelling as Ninjago's. It felt like Cragger and Crooler weren't at the level of Lord Garmadon or Pythor or the Overlord. It was just hard to commit to buying sets when the fiction wasn't compelling enough to bother watching. Ninjago's show gripped its fans so much, Lego basically had no choice but to keep it going. And the sets were cool and at times incredibly inventive, but they also felt a bit repetitive. I feel like you can only buy so many Lion or eagle themed vehicles before you don't feel the need to get anymore. I think people forget the Ninja didn't have vehicles in the pilot season. They only had dragons. When the Ninja starting getting vehicles, they basically always had new and unique ones every season, and that was in addition to the dragons and location playsets. Chima kinda just has one aesthetic, animal vehicles. I strongly think chima needed some more variety. There should have been some buffers between the new tribes. The Ninja don't just fight other Ninja every season, they fight Skeletons and Snakes, and Robots, and Pirates. Chima needed some other non-animal factions to spice it up. what if season 2 had the Cast fight clockwork automatons, or plant people, or aquatic races or something like that? Something that felt in keeping with the setting while providing some variety, and then moving on to the outland tribes. The ice zombie tribes in season 3 were a good start, but I think it would have hit harder if there was something in between. I wouldn't discount Chima characters showing up in Dragon's Rising though. I think Laval showing up in the show would be an easy crowd pleasing moment.
Yes, it was definitely weaker. The first two introductory episodes were extremely rushed and failed to create a strong connection between the viewer and the characters. The main conflict was also a bit lackluster, with a generic bad side being present, but also not at the same time, since most of the conflict at the beginning of the series stemmed from Crooler's machinations (nobody tried to stop her btw, even though she was doing it in front of everyone lmao). The villains in later seasons also lacked any decency or dignity, they were often ridiculed and I couldn't take them seriously, unlike with Ninjago. The characters were also weaker than in Ninjago overall, with some being so irrelevant one wonders why were they even in the show (mainly the bear tribe), and their development was minimal, with the only exception being Laval. I mean, Cragger couldn't improve much, since he wasn't actually a bad guy and was under the influence of his sister in the first season. Or look at the relationship between Eris and Rogon which came out of nowhere and they completely threw it away in the 3rd season :DD I could go on and on, bringing up the flaws you mentioned as well, but I think its pretty clear that the show was just objectively worse in quality. The problem was mainly execution, not the base idea. Ninjago managed to avoid a lot of these mistakes and did other things way better

I was never the hugest LEGO kid back then, but I definitely remembered Ninjago and Chima. It is kinda funny how at some point, I legit forgot about Legends of Chima and had no idea it was even cancelled until this video. Meanwhile, I've always known and about and remembered Ninjago. However, I do still have one of the Chima books from my 1st Grade bookfair. It was like a weird double feature book that you had to flip upside-down to see the other story.

yall remember that game for mobile that had you choose a character, get on their speeder, then race down to the middle arena and do some minigame to beat the enemy speeder and get chi to upgrade the speeder? I cant remember the name but i remember it being so fun as a kid
the memories this video unlocked for me! i clicked thinking i liked chima as a kid, but i don't really remember anything from it. but as the video went on, i just remembered more and more details about the show, to a weird degree. and i just remembered a whole bunch of random details about it. i don't really know the sets other than a few cause i could never afford them, but my friend's dad at the time worked with lego (like i have no idea if it was for the lego company or just something involving legos cause i don't remember what he did) so he sometimes got sets just a little early and i remember when i went to his place we built some chima sets and so many random childhood memories are flooding back in very random tangent i know, but thank you for reminding me of this show lol
maaaaan is this nostalgix. hell i remember in elementary school that the talons on one of the big raven mechs were rumored to have put permanent holes in a kid cuz they were so sharp.
This is hella nostalgic for me, I was like in kindergarten during season 2. The alligators were my favorite but I remember thinking the scorpions were also cool. Then I was actually afraid of the spiders for some reason lol.
Nah this Lego line shouldve never died. I was obsessed with Chima and didn't get a lot of the original waves, but I got almost all the ice and fire sets and outlands sets.
Thank you for helping me bring back my Chima related memories. I knew i loved the show and the lego set i had but sadly didn't remember much. Thank you!
I really loved both Legends of Chima and Lego Ninjago. I remember watching it in the morning before going to elementary school, so sad that it wasn’t as popular as Lego Ninjago and only had a few seasons, because I really liked the concept and character designs
I enjoyed both Ninjago and Chima. But I was not a fan of the tv show or at least the first season. The concept was cool but it felt like it was trying to both be child friendly and a tragic epic adventure and couldn’t figure out how till the last minute. I do really regret not getting a lot of the sets since there was ton of unique parts and figures.
This could just be because I just watched the new movie, but Chima bares a striking resemblance to Transformers and this actually makes me appreciate the theme more! The main things: a friends-to-enemies arc (Laval/Cragger-Optimus/Megatron, ik Cragger was mind controlled but still), a turf war for control of the land and resource (Chima/Chi-Cybertron/Energon), a pantheon of mythical deities (Legend Beast-Primus/The Original 13 Primes), and a gimmick to draw in audiences (Speedors-Transformations)
I wish Warner Bros could make a Lego crossover with different Lego series theme Lego Movie , Unikitty ,Chima , Ninjago, Bionicle , Nexo Knights and Mixels
3:07 god this set brings back memories, younger me couldn’t comprehend a huge set like this and I had to ask my dad to build it for me, best Christmas ever
This is so nostalgic, it takes me back to when I used to live in my old house in another country (lived there when i was younger, we moved). I used to love legos, particularly Lego hero factory and the full sized chima characters that are based off of the hero factory pieces. Good times.
Chima isn't even the first time lego had a show about talking Animals. Edward and Friends was a show about the day to day life of characters in Fabuland who were all animals.
Ironically, I really wanted a lego Chima set for Christmas (2015, I think?) Don't know why, just remember that I did. *Thanks for bringing back old memories*
Omg, THANK YOU youtube for recommending me this video, i completely forgot about this lego. It was so much fun to watch it and build it irl. So much nostalgia. I had if i remember correctly: Eris, Razar, Grizzam, Gorzzan Gorilla Striker set and Eris construction Chi character
14:18 There was also supposed to be a Mammoth Tribe pack in the 2015 wave according to Just2good's Lego Chima 2015 reveal video. But it sadly got cancelled. Which is a shame since the Mammoths only had three minifigures ( Maula , Mottrot, and Mungus ).
i remember specific scenes from this show but I always thought was something imaginary- like it never existed. this brought back so many memories of watching this show when I was younger.
i loved lego so much as a kid, i also remember these super fondly. thanks for bringing back these memories. i should get legos again, i wish i never threw them away. im so depressed now
I bought nearly 20 chima sets as a 7 year old. Oh how I miss thee chima. I would like to add I did enjoy the theme. I don't anymore recall the narrative, nevertheless it had a determinate impact on me in my adolescense.
I’d LOVE to see Chima come back in the future! Every time I bring it up on the internet, there’s always someone who says “I used to love that show! Haven’t thought about it in years!”. There’s even an active subreddit, and the Chima wiki has an active Discord server, so I know for sure I’m not alone!
I remember totally being hooked with a game they released where they raced using the speedorz- I think my brother still has one of the lego sets in the back of the closet somewhere. So nostalgic...
I remember coming to my friend house and playing with Chima and it was very fun. The mini figures were one of my favorite from lego ever (especially I like eagles and ravens) so it's really sad that Chima got cancelled
The first ever Lego Chima set I got as a kid was 70103 Boulder Bowling with King Crominus. I was at Legoland when the theme launched and I had just watched the first episode of Chima on TV the day prior. I don't know why but I thought "Crominus" was just Cragger but with more gold, so that's the Speedor I chose. I also remember that there was a safe in the Legoland hotel rook which you could open after finding a code from activities in the room, to find some nice Lego souvenirs, from which I got two Chima polybags: One with Leonidas and another with Ewar. When Fire vs. Ice came out I was just being switched to a new primary school, so to help me with the transition my mother took me to ToysRUs and let me pick out a set. I bought the Laval vs Sir Fangar speedorz set which I unfortunately don't have complete anymore, but the memories still remain. And yes, it helped a lot just having Laval in my pocket at school. As you can probably tell, the theme meant a lot to me when I was younger, so even though I'm a Ninjago guy now, I'd go to Chima in a heartbeat if it ever made a grand return.
When I was a little kid, I didn't even know what Legos were until 11. When I got the Lego Chima book, I saw the character (He's a winter wolf as I remember) and I was into the series
Wow I haven't thought about Chima in years! Definitely a lot of nostalgia. With all of the sets released, I'm actually very surprised but I had and still have most of the Chima sets
One of the main sets I got from the series was Flinx's Ultimate Phoenix and it is to date the only lego set I've actually fully completed, most have been abandoned or destroyed by younger siblings half way through, but that set was part of the reason I loved the show so much
I wish they’d bring back and revamp the Chima sets by making some of them bigger and maybe including more side builds like how the ice fortress, if it were made now could have been bigger with more figures and two vehicles for the good guys and maybe one for the bad guys to add the playability factor for kids.
I miss Lego chima so much and i had a lot of sets but my family lost the boxes from my childhood room so the only set that remained is the ice mammoth stomper(which is technically not even mine since it was my brother who got it as a Christmas present many years ago) that is currently in my closet, I love just having it and taking it out every once in a while, it has a lot of detail that I feel most(kids) Lego sets lack, like the tiny cage in the back and weapons holder in the middle not to mention the fact the top detaches like a tiny plane. I played so much with that thing as a kid
YOOOOOOO I remember that competition for the mega set! I also did not win, but that's probably for the best-- I don't know where I would have even put all those sets! Nice to see that it is, in fact, a real thing that exists and not just a fever dream cooked up by the Lego magazine

It was called Speedorz, I absolutely loved it. I remember putting a Croc head on a Wolf's torso with Lion legs, good times
i was looking for someone mentioning the game, I thought I was going insane thinking if Chima did have a game 😭
Chima also had Chima Online and a Chima tribe fighting game.
the memories this video unlocked for me! i clicked thinking i liked chima as a kid, but i don't really remember anything from it. but as the video went on, i just remembered more and more details about the show, to a weird degree. and i just remembered a whole bunch of random details about it. i don't really know the sets other than a few cause i could never afford them, but my friend's dad at the time worked with lego (like i have no idea if it was for the lego company or just something involving legos cause i don't remember what he did) so he sometimes got sets just a little early and i remember when i went to his place we built some chima sets and so many random childhood memories are flooding back in
very random tangent i know, but thank you for reminding me of this show lol
maaaaan is this nostalgix. hell i remember in elementary school that the talons on one of the big raven mechs were rumored to have put permanent holes in a kid cuz they were so sharp.
Nice Video, it gives me so much nostalgia
Great vid
This is hella nostalgic for me, I was like in kindergarten during season 2. The alligators were my favorite but I remember thinking the scorpions were also cool. Then I was actually afraid of the spiders for some reason lol.
Nah this Lego line shouldve never died. I was obsessed with Chima and didn't get a lot of the original waves, but I got almost all the ice and fire sets and outlands sets.
Thank you for helping me bring back my Chima related memories. I knew i loved the show and the lego set i had but sadly didn't remember much. Thank you!
Hearing this game's name again made me feel so nostalgic, brings me back to old memories. Which makes me feel more sad that time moves too fast...
Man, i miss lego chima online so much. It was my favorite game as a kid and i would love to play it 1 more time.
Chima is my all time favorite . It's sad we didn't have more seasons of it , i remember hating nexo knights for it lol
You've just found out the definition of trope?
3:20 holy shit just unlocked back a memory of having this specific lego as a child
1:41 that’s the goat right there
I wish Warner Bros could make a Lego crossover with different Lego series theme Lego Movie , Unikitty ,Chima , Ninjago, Bionicle , Nexo Knights and Mixels
I hope one day they will bring back this them .
Me to
3:07 god this set brings back memories, younger me couldn’t comprehend a huge set like this and I had to ask my dad to build it for me, best Christmas ever
i remember playing the video games it was so repetitive but i never got bored
I saw the thumbnail and just had a series of flashbacks like I had unlocked an entire section of my memories
You have reawakened something in my brain and i now have the urge to find and buy all the sets i dont have
don't go spending all of your money at once now haha
This is so nostalgic, it takes me back to when I used to live in my old house in another country (lived there when i was younger, we moved). I used to love legos, particularly Lego hero factory and the full sized chima characters that are based off of the hero factory pieces. Good times.
Chima isn't even the first time lego had a show about talking Animals. Edward and Friends was a show about the day to day life of characters in Fabuland who were all animals.
Apparently, Chima was initially conceived as a hybrid reboot of both Fabuland and Exo-Force.
Ironically, I really wanted a lego Chima set for Christmas (2015, I think?)
Don't know why, just remember that I did.
*Thanks for bringing back old memories*
Lego chima was my childhood
Oh wow I didn't know this! Will definitely look into it thanks!
i remember specific scenes from this show but I always thought was something imaginary- like it never existed. this brought back so many memories of watching this show when I was younger.
HOLY SHIT NOOO WAY, You just activated some Core memory with that thumbnail
i loved lego so much as a kid, i also remember these super fondly. thanks for bringing back these memories. i should get legos again, i wish i never threw them away. im so depressed now
I bought nearly 20 chima sets as a 7 year old.
There’s even an active subreddit, and the Chima wiki has an active Discord server, so I know for sure I’m not alone!
wow this brings back loads of memories, I loved this show. Completely forgot the name so I could never find it as I got older.
I forgot Chima even existed, this is so freaking nostalgic!
I remember totally being hooked with a game they released where they raced using the speedorz- I think my brother still has one of the lego sets in the back of the closet somewhere. So nostalgic...
this video just unlocked my locked memory of my childhood
I cant belive it ran only from 2013-2015! It felt like such a big thing when I was a kid, with the TV-show and all
I had Worriz’ Combat Lair. It was one of the best sets I ever got. ^^
This brings back so many memories bro me and my brother used to love watching this
That china set with the big yellow castle thingy was so cool back in 2012
I forgot about this series, brought back old memories time to binge watch it
Man I'd forgotten about Nexo Knights! Chima was one of my fav lego series, and I'd always hoped for a comeback
i loved Chima so much. I still have a bunch of sets lying around, de/reconstructed into other stuff by now lol
I loved Chima back in the day. I remember getting the Gorilla mech for my birthday witch made me so happy.
bro got 3k subs in 3 weeks, congrats man.
Thankyou! Channel's been doing really well recently thanks to viewers like yourself :)
I remember coming to my friend house and playing with Chima and it was very fun. The mini figures were one of my favorite from lego ever (especially I like eagles and ravens) so it's really sad that Chima got cancelled
You just unlocked a childhood memory of mine

YOU COULD WHAT
When I was a little kid, I didn't even know what Legos were until 11. When I got the Lego Chima book, I saw the character (He's a winter wolf as I remember) and I was into the series
I had a set that was a large boat from the crocodile tribe, not sure why I didn’t see it in the video but I swear it existed
Nvm I must’ve missed the mention just went back and saw it
Goated! I remember having the speedors and playing with them against friends
I remember having set for this theme and never actually knowing what it was
I think Lego Chima was the start of me having a crush on anthropomorphic animals 😭
Wow I haven't thought about Chima in years! Definitely a lot of nostalgia. With all of the sets released, I'm actually very surprised but I had and still have most of the Chima sets
Oh wow, some of the sets truly are amazing! I wish I'd bought more when I was a kid but I was too addicted to Ninjago lol
One of the main sets I got from the series was Flinx's Ultimate Phoenix and it is to date the only lego set I've actually fully completed, most have been abandoned or destroyed by younger siblings half way through, but that set was part of the reason I loved the show so much
I remember liking Chima a lot. Good times
I'm hardly 18 but I loved Lego chima as a kid, just today had a chat about it with a friend when he randomly remembered it
I wish they’d bring back and revamp the Chima sets by making some of them bigger and maybe including more side builds like how the ice fortress, if it were made now could have been bigger with more figures and two vehicles for the good guys and maybe one for the bad guys to add the playability factor for kids.
I remember having 6-8 mix lego sets of Ninjago and Chima, absolutely loved both of them 😭
I remember seeing the toys and commercials for this show when I was little, I never knew it ended up failing
loved both this and ninjago
I miss Lego chima so much and i had a lot of sets but my family lost the boxes from my childhood room so the only set that remained is the ice mammoth stomper(which is technically not even mine since it was my brother who got it as a Christmas present many years ago) that is currently in my closet, I love just having it and taking it out every once in a while, it has a lot of detail that I feel most(kids) Lego sets lack, like the tiny cage in the back and weapons holder in the middle not to mention the fact the top detaches like a tiny plane. I played so much with that thing as a kid
I remember the ice Mammoth AT-AT being on everyone's chirstmas list the year it came out.
YOOOOOOO I remember that competition for the mega set! I also did not win, but that's probably for the best-- I don't know where I would have even put all those sets! Nice to see that it is, in fact, a real thing that exists and not just a fever dream cooked up by the Lego magazine
i have a lot of chima sets and i also tried to winn the giant set but had no luck. You let me live my childhood again
