  • This video shows you how I fixed a bad wheel on my suitcase. It took a little effort but replacing a wheel is a lot cheaper and more logical than buying a new suitcase!

    Thanks!
    I need this for ages!
Few years ago I found a repairing shop but the shop owner refused to fix it because he said 'It's better you buy a better and new one than fixing this old broken fella because it would be way too overprice than you buy a better and new one'...
But I like that fabric luggage so much! The fabric still goes strong though there are some bits of slight tear sign due to friction at the outest site of the fabric. By the way it's my first wheeled luggage so it is just the wheel broken down not the fabric body, it's kinda hurt deep down my heart when the luggage shop owner said that LOL

If the kit came with a slightly longer shaft, that might have solved your problem of the wheel not spinning as freely. The wheel might be pinched between the plastic carriage?

That could very well be. Thanks for your comment and for watching!

In the grand scheme of things functionality is what you're really going for. Thanks for the video i'm in the process of changing some old wheels on my suitcase myself.

The wheels you need may be a little different than the specific ones that I bought from Amazon. They might be a slightly different size but this is the link (hoping I copied that correctly):

You're right. I didn't have an extra set of hands (or a tripod at the time) to hold the camera so I wasn't able to do that. If I have to do this again, I will make sure I have one or the other.
Thanks for watching and for your comment.

Does putting some grease help for a smoother push?

    • @RamblingWithPhil

In my case, once all 4 wheels were replaced, it rolled smoother so I did not use any grease.

What's the size of the bit did u use. Tried a 6mm to no avail.

To be honest, I don't remember. I just picked a size that I thought would work and that was about the diameter of the head of the bolt ... it was really just trial and error.
      Thanks for watching!
