@@harssitakeme8722 See when you observe things without evaluating then you record the events or the subjects as they are. When you start evaluating, you introduce your own biases and prejudices.
What we need in my understanding is to observe things well and good for a good period of time and then replay the events after to analyse the situation..
When you are used to using a Hammer, you see everything as a Nail.

It is the wrong question because if you try to quiet the mind this only agitates the mind. Ignore thoughts. Don't pay the mind any mind. Instead, attend to the feeling and experiencing of the moment/the here and now. Be fully aware of just this eternal and ever-new moment.

You can't ignore thoughts but can only witness and let be, let mind be mind as it has any thoughts, be it good or bad thoughts or any in between, you just let mind be as it is at that moment... As you learn to get used to it, slowly but surely you will understand that mind is never a problem in itself.

JK’s sayings make us aware of the boundaries that exist in different paths a human can or may pursue; in the very first instance, though his expression appears to be contradicting the various other paths, the underlying principles of natural way of self realisation hold good even in his; because words and language have its own limitations. Anyway, this JK’s expression is strong enough to awaken and alert all who try to seek self realisation. 🙏

As I pointlessly save this in the little TH-cam Library folder that I have called "non-duality", I laugh and I think of my mother who would have been 100 years old today and who dearly loved Krishnamurti. She had great difficulty suppressing her desire to in some way "pass it on" to everybody she met-- she could never quite let go of really really wanting a guru. Such a conundrum.

To see and realize the truth that he was living a lie for 25 years took him just an instant. 25 years of a life of lie had not dulled his perception or wisdom, it had in fact somehow made him open and non rigid, as difficult or as impossible as that sounds. Any form of meditation that involves a system and an end (aka self-hypnosis, aka belief) is a waste of life. Any type of belief divorces you from truth and projects you in a faker man made reality.
“Belief is deadly.” - Jiddu Krishnamurti
This is how all people waste their lives caught in deadly beliefs that have absolutely nothing to do with truth.
“We have lived like this for thousands of years, life like this is meaningless. We cannot carry on like this.” - Jiddu Krishnamurti
The fake world of man. The human being has not flowered for thousands and thousands of years.
Previously, I could not understand why Jiddu Krishnamurti would always put down technological progress as something unimportant and irrelevant.
Now I see it very clearly. The more “civilized” a society is, the further away it is from nature, the more fake and worthless it is.
The fake world of man. Humans should have never created the fake man made economy, humans are supposed to be on the natural economy and to provide for ALL their needs ONLY with their one and only body, just like all wildlife does. You have to earn it naturally, not this fake garbage here. Nature does not tolerate nonsense.

Mind becomes quiet when react to things as they are, accept, observe but not react and that too involuntarily in all kinds of situations, whether happy or pain. Although I am too not able to do this to its fullest but I am slowly progressing. Basically only if you wish to be happy you'll be sad, but if you don't expect happiness (hard to understand by a normal being) you'll experience something like never before. Understanding that everything is temporary makes you more easy to understand all the things I mentioned above. Vipassana taught me this.

@Earthsounds. The mind is quiet when the breath is steady. Because thoughts and breath are like driver driving a car. The breath is the driver and the thoughts is a car. When someone has a panic attack( mind invoking fear), one can get out of panic attacks by taking a long, deep and steady breath. This is also the reason why we fall asleep in night. If the breath unsteady and restless, we would never fall asleep. A dead person will have a permanent quiet mind, how so? Because he doesn't have any breath. Tools like pranayama, yoga, and meditation are utilities to steady breath and quiet our mind/thoughts.

There is no way you can control the mind from the chatter always happening, but as an observer consciousness, you can always find you different from that, which is your true Self, Atman and Soul if you may call it. This is the True Self according to Adi Shankara which is readily available all the time if only one is interested to align with, which is Svasvrupanusandhan which does not involve any Karma or guided by any goal set by any Sastra or Guru for that matter but be a mere witness to the environs including the mistaken self, the mind. Adi Sankara was the humility personified, never criticised any other path but only said that it is the practice of Gnana, that will liberate. In fact he didn't declare liberation as the Goal but cried hoarse that the Man is always a liberated self but actually not aware of that free self because of Avidya or false notion.🙏🙏🙏

It is not an end, there is no projection. Projection implies an active mind with a thought. You are beyond mind and thought and whatever projection Jattu is talking about. When the mind is devoid of thoughts, you reveal yourself. You are that shining self illuminator light that cannot be put in words or described. It is THAT self realisation which is beyond any language.

For me it works to just be honest with my self even if I cannot be honest. You can include the end in you ñ, both are ok. You can do the right thing for the wrong reasons. You can set a "unreal" goal, and then enjoy the path. The you I'm talking about it is not you but ME. Your path is your path, every doubt every "mistake" was all to bring you here. And in the end, I don't know, I don't really know. But I feel myself, I feel the pain, I feel the rejection, I feel the love. Both are ok. I am home for my human experience, I will be with me as much as I can.

The truth may be one/ the subject
But the teachers and students maybe
At various stages in understanding the truth.
Understanding/enlightenment we can play with words
Every guru differs mostly because of the students and their level of understanding
And to claim the guru's uniqueness.
But whatever it is the basic of spirituality is
How to master the monkey mind
Just because you are in the physical body and you have to deal with it to live a happy/peacefull life while everything is moving and changing.
Most of the human beings search for spiritual wellbeing only after unbearable pain or loss of something after what they believed is going to be permanent .
Here the teacher/guru is trying to say that
If you don't get the point of meditation you
will -not be enlightened even if you are going to
Do meditation for 25 years or more years.

Quieting the mind is the first step, without that you can't strive towards enlightenment. The moment your mind vanishes completely and consistently, you attain the absolute stillness and that's nothing but enlightenment where there is only pure awareness/consciousness remains and that's the real "you".

But he has left me questioning what am I supposed to do now?
I do meditation every day for approaching 5 years, I follow a system practicing the same meditation every day.
Is there a video where he explains what to do next? Do I continue my meditation but approach it differently by giving myself to it, eliminating any expectation and refraining from forcing myself to empty my mind, instead naturally let whatever happen happen?
Or do I just start drinking again and focus on making money and a family and throw meditation out the door because either way I am wasting my life?

What is your goal while doing meditation? What are you aiming to achieve by doing it or what you have already achieved by practicing it?
Is it about quietting your mind or something else for you?
This can help answer your questions .
      Peace.

Meditation will slowdown overthinking and the stream of thoughts..so continue with it .
.but as JK says move away from 'self-centered activities' and the mind will attain quietness without a method or 'thought' forcing it..

Do whatever you want to do, but do it with awareness, observe your thoughts and see how every thought and sensation takes various expressions and manifests outside, everything starts within, the mind, the association of thought is the source of our identity and conflict, and see that whole process without participating in the expression of it, that is see that anger arises within you as a wave, a thought, enquire why and what made it arise, and look at every thought, and expression that arises and surfaces through the mind, do not stop them, do not suppress them, do not participate in them, just look at them; and in looking, you are free from all those that arise. The 'looking' takes courage, openness which immedietly creates a distance, a detachment from all that you identify as 'you'. Then you are. But first see your conditioning and realize it as it is, then only you begin to 'look' at it. I hope this helps you 🙏🏻

The human being,as a mind, constantly seeks endorsement and attention from the other ( animate observed). In fact,we "live" through the other, and feel that our feelings of incompleteness can only be assuaged by any animate or inanimate " other"!!! the constant desire of being praised and acknowledged is the driving factor for all our action.Towards this end,we are in constant action so that our presence is acknowledged and appreciated by the rest of the community. All accumulation, material, emotional, and intellectual are,in actuality, nothing more than an attention- seeking gesture. When the introspective mind understands,as a fact, that entire humanity is engaged in this stupid, abnormal action, only because it has not,as a mind, looked into it's true identity, will there be an inclination to not only look into our incessant chatter in the form of irrational action, but also to look into our true identity.

The so called 'systems' are not towards an imagined end as he says..but they are devised to transcend the mind, to go beyond all conditioning and experience the reality. Just as a thorn can be used to remove another thorn. To denounce all systems and methods is plain stupidity. Systems are needed even to lead a normal life, what to speak of enlightenment!

    • @srinivassridhar5151
      @srinivassridhar5151 ปีที่แล้ว +1

If the method is a systemic path, where does it lead to when there is nowhere to go? A technique, mantra, asana etc all these methods have limitations and have forms, and you want to experience the formless, the dissolution of identity, where none of your methods hold any value or work. If you start your work seeking money, security and stability, you'll probably get it, and to get there is the method, the process, but when it comes to the matter of mind, and the beyond, whatever you seek you seek through the mind when that is what you're striving to quieten, and whatever methods and techniques is just imposing a rigid structure, a regime into your activity of mind, so maybe you'll find what your seeking, but who was it that was seeking? The mind, who realized that you got it? The mind. So what have you realized?

If 25 years of meditation made the man happy with himself, and he felt good, it certainly wasn’t a waste of anything.
And nothing is a *waste* in the larger scheme of things. It just IS. All of life is an experience. From the stars, to the plants, animals, and humans. Otherwise it would be absolute structuring in daily life, and humans have freewill and choices, so it isn’t.
The quantum cells have their own daily structuring, and those cells change daily, and throughout the day.
Breathing in and out changes everything. 😉

I don't really get it. Even if it's self-hypnosis, as long as you attain what you set yourself for, why it should be deemed as a bad thing?
I see many people here seem to agree with K, and then go on giving their particular method to achieve something (nonsense). If you want to get something, of course you need to do something: you need a goal, a method and a means.
I think that for most people - including me - K's perspective on the matter is too advanced. Basically he's saying one should do nothing, because there is nothing to be done - or am I wrong? But for us commoners, who are still involved in this whole crazy dance of trying to avoid suffering, chasing pleasure, anxiety, hope, fear, attraction, etc. any method that would make life easier, any system that will push us a little bit closer to the point of giving up any system, is more than welcome.

It is wrong to confine oneself to God the creator. It is most indignant to the human mind to do so. However it is worse to cry foul. Why should one fear? We are all surrounded by people like ourselves. The devil is nowhere. It is a contraption created by selfish mischief.
