I just subscribed because of something you said. You said "if you didn't watch the episode - this video isn't for you" and you specifically said "This is not a recap" THANK YOU!!! OMG Some of the people whose channels I used to enjoy for ACTUAL breakdown videos I've had to unsubscribe. I don't know what the deal is but their "Breakdown" videos have become literal recaps - no thought put into anything, no theories and so forth just rehashing the episode - that is NOT a breakdown. I want to hear things I may have missed, explainers for wtf moments and theories which is what a breakdown video is!!! I look forward to watching more of your videos including Severance Season 2!!!!! Please don't turn into them or else I may have to start doing my own videos lololol
Keep making these thought provoking videos. I found your channel this week from your From content and I really like your no frills analysis. You got a new subscriber.
Brilliant video! I thoroughly enjoyed your reflections. As a psychologist, I can confirm that most of your insights on mental health are supported by data. Thanks and you have a new subscriber
Maybe Paul Billings' tremors disappeared because he stopped taking the "medications" (he said he forgot to take them for the last few days). Could it be that those medications were causing his tremors (the syndrome)?
I'm just a data analyst. I was thinking about you breaking down the code - have you tried defining some of the shorter words. For example, 'B' or 'CY' or 'NK' and 'YNP' from the screen displayed - With common two letter words like 'ON', 'AT', 'OF', 'TO', 'AM', etc
Igor, great point about the fact that the raiders were following the commands of Camille (Sim's wife)! She has not been a raider for several years, so those raiders would have had an actual commander and should not have listened to Camille. That part just didn't make sense.
First time watching your channel. Really interesting analysis. I love how you relate it to your own life and experiences! In the end, that’s why we interact with and share art, to say something about the shared human experience. So much better than the generic “recap” and “ending explained” videos!
Your story at 21:52 is so well told and helpful and inspiring!!! I'm marking the time because I'm going to play this for my boy students (high school) who believe hustling and doing scams would be not only a money maker but make them happy. Your personal experience and your beautiful story about Lord of the Rings will at least give them a different perspective from someone who is not a middle aged teacher. Someone admirable and smart who loves media and who had this experience. The scenario of telling someone you admire what you do for a living and feeling ashamed is a motivation I've never thought of. It's brilliant. Thank you.
Wow! I hope it will help! Yes it will make them money, but they will definitely not be happy. At this age though they probably will still think they are the smartest and they know everything:) This is all teenagers
Again and again I see the striking difference between most tv show channels and yours. Most put out a click bait title and then just repeat what we all saw in the episode. You really take the experience of the TV show to a whole new level. Сразу видно человека, который сочинения по литературе хорошо писал 😜
Behind all the characters are writers, with lives and feelings and experiences. And the fact that they are all so complicated, relatable, and sympathetic cements that the creative team is crafting them so they are that complex... I.e. real. So your tangents based on your own experiences are valid, man; you are drawing connections to these characters that writers and creators are developing intentionally. Great work highlighting the intricately woven humanity in this crazy sci Fi epic, your insights only enhance what's on the screen, man. Great great work, I look forward to your videos every week!
Anyone else notice how Knox gave up Juliette as soon as they were looking for her in mechanical but when it was his turn to run from judicial and the Mayor he didn’t just give himself up? Say what you will, it just isn’t consistent.
It’s clear that the design of this 50-silo bunker system is highly illogical. The bunkers are neither independent nor strategically placed. They lack natural camouflage, geological stability (like granite or limestone foundations), access to freshwater, or alternative energy sources. Additionally, the location is neither remote nor isolated (e.g., deserts or islands). Worse, the bunkers are clustered together rather than distributed across different sites, which compromises redundancy and safety. The most efficient approach would be to construct bunkers in mountainous or geologically stable areas near freshwater sources, supplemented with autonomous energy and food production systems. At the end of the day, one must question the value of all this secrecy. Instead, it might be more effective to simply inform people about their situation, location, and the reality of their circumstances. They could be made to understand that life outside will likely be impossible for a certain period-perhaps 200 years-and only then might the outside world become habitable again. With this understanding, all the secrecy would become unnecessary. Please tell me I am wrong 😢😅?!?
21:00 Thank you for sharing your story on focus helping. It really resonates with me. This show has my attn. bec. it gives me the sense it is about much more than entertainment.
All former Raiders are being recalled to serve in this time of emergency. The Sims are actively scheming their way to the top of the power structure. Both of them are well regarded in the force and this was an emergency, and ultimately, experience outranks everything. You can tell the new Head of Judicial Security looking at Camille before agreeing to the 120 deal.
That makes sense, however is not how any branch of service or force operates. And for good reason. One person barks the orders and that person will not change until they are officially relieved of that duty or KIA. Having anyone else start barking would throw the entire company into chaos extremely quickly.
This is what Chat Gpt decoded from the text: “THE SYSTEM IS A GREAT TEST. YOU COMPLETE THIS WITH CIPHERS. WE WILL ENSURE THAT THE SYSTEM HAS BEEN THE MOST IMPORTANT PLANNED MAP. THIS IS A CODE SYSTEM. NOW WE BEGIN CREATING THE SYSTEM. AND THEN YOU DECIDE HOW MUCH YOU WORK, AND THEN, WHEN CHANGES CAN BE MADE, THE SYSTEM CAN BE ADAPTED FOR OTHER NEEDS. YOU CAN CREATE THE SYSTEMS TO BEGIN THE WORK OF CREATING."
I think chatgpt decoded it wrong because the words don't align with the number of letters in the codes words. I think its something that like this "IF YOU'VE GOTTEN THIS FAR YOU ALREADY KNOW THE GAME IS RIGGED. WE THINK WERE THE CHOSEN ONES BUT WERE JUST ONE OF MANY. THE ENGINEERS HAVEN'T BUILT A SINGLE SILO. THEY BUILT FIFTY. AND THEY CREATED THE SAFEGUARD. WE HAVE BEEN LIED TO. WE ARE NOT SAFE. OUR HOME IS NOT A SANCTUARY BUT A TRAP. Hi there, here is a thougth that has come to my mind as you asked why Bernard does not used the silos computer system. As you already suspectet, that silos master computer system could be used to monitor all the other computers in the silo, how about, that the whole silo computer system could and are watched from (a yet unknown force) the outside? And Bernard knows or at least suspect this and to not weaken his position any further, avoid using the computer system and lays the work instead in the hands of manpower? The flaw in this theory, i know, is the fact, that the other deciphering work, like the silo floor plan, has already done with the help of the computer too.
I have many theories, one is that Sims is a clue to The Sims game, and all this people are just npcs in Bernards game. A other theory is that the silos produce something for someone.
I really like that you look at all the graffiti! I live in a place where there is lots of graffiti and it often reflects what the mindset of the people living in the area is at the time it's put there!
Its not all that complicated for people to make basic penicillin. Id say its 100% possible for Silo to do so. Especially if in the show we learn he taught himself with books and time to learn. Maybe we'll learn more as to how. Either way, I totally bought it.
The 'GET FUCT' graffiti is easy. It shows the stairs and the way one normally descends. But Knox and Shirley climbed up and then jumped! That's what it shows.
Solo might be a real genius. He acts weirdly because he has been alone for so long. But he remembers many things. Asks Jules where was the sun when she left. He found an idea to help her dive to get her suit. Of course maybe he had access to some super computer to synthetize the antibiotics but maybe he has found some old medication and put it on some Petri dish. Who knows. 😅
It makes sense that the captain listened to Sim's wife as this was a new, terrifying situation that he was not trained for. She is also the wife to a powerful man and also as mentioned in the previous episode that the man in the janitor room told the two from mechanical to be afraid of her!
I don’t pretend to understand cryptology but I know there are a limited number of words in English with only one or two letters. I suspect this insight may simplify the decoding process.
Agreed, it is what he said. Very good catch on the letters being spaced the same between the two iterations but also incorrectly spaced based on what he said. Possibly…chalk it up to being a dude from mines now reporting 1-on-1 with head of IT and he nervously said the wrong shift amount… idk I say dumb sh*t like that when I suddenly and unexpectedly have to report on something to my boss’s boss’s boss …99.9% chance it was a total “oopsie!” from writers but there’s always that 0.01%
@geekademy hey brother love you but you can grow penicillium mold on bread but it's better to use spicy peppers then the penicillium is fermented and becomes low grade penicillin you can no joke make it with very little scientific knowledge and solo has access to the it computer
When Solo said he made the antibiotics. I called BS. Okay... for 1 sec the thought crossed my mind that maybe the Legacy has a replicator. Well, it could happen. LOL
the graffiti @4:10 looks like an electrical symbol you might find on a schematic or blueprint.. not sure what it exactly means but the symbol closely resembles that of the resistor.. just a thought update: on 2nd look, it appears to be a diagram of the silo stairs with the arrows pointing down resembling falling over the edge = GetFuct?
The legacy is a room I think. If you watch the season 2 traielr, you can see Bernard in a room with a guy, the room is fileld with giant models of planets and stuff.
the secert code is this If you’ve gotten this far you are already dead. The game is rigged. We think we’re the chosen ones but we’re only one of many The founders didn’t build a single silo They built fifty And they created the safeguard We have been lied to. No1K is most likely a joke about Y2K. (of course in the context of Y2K the "Y" stands for year - and in this homage it is the opposite of No - N=No, Y=Yes)
Why make it so we can't watch your video with picture and picture mode. I drive for a living and I use my phone for GPS not being able to listen to your video because I need to use GPS kind of sucks
The Legacy is a person or multiple persons doesn't make a lot of sense. If so, that means they have to keep them alive while keeping it a secret. These people stay in their champer forever-prisoners have more freedom than that. On top of that, they're gonna need successors at one point, but I don't think they can find anyone to fill in the slot since this is a secret. We can assume that Bernard has the right to access the Legacy, and he can give that power to his shadow, then Bernard can reach the Legacy whenever he wants. But if the Legacy is a super AI or a person, he did not need Lucas to crack the code for this long; he could've just given it to the Legacy once the data was recovered. Legacy is a computer makes more sense than a person because it does similar things and requires fewer resources to function, yet it still doesn't explain why Bernard needed Lucas to stay in the office for that long.
I felt like Kennedy gave up the information too quickly once the sheriff went hard mode. He obviously tried to avoid revealing the information, but when Billings slammed the chair, he just 'okay okay okay, I'll tell you' It was a little too easy. Plus, he talked so fast and so fluently for someone who just got a pair of tweezers stuck into their shoulder.
In a overall view of things, i think the following; I think the silo's are one big social experiment, where they want to find out what the best combination of people is to servive on a long distant planet with a toxic outside. The vault with a supercomputer is fake, i think it is all controlled. So the information that is given on there is controlled of what they think is important. Like antabiotic for our main carracter 😂 The lines from the server room/vault are leading to the place where it is all controlled. And the toxic outside is just where the silo's are, it has a second objective to prevent silo's interact with eachother and go outside. Bernard has some knowhow of a ohter silo, butt not all of them 😂 My two cents ❤😂
@@MichaelGroeneweg The way I think is, it would be easier to just train a group of people and prepare them for the task u mentioned, than putting all these lives underground and just sitting and waiting for a pack of suitable crowd to emerge, the result is too uncertain and cost way more. They had been in silos for over 200 years, and training people would be much faster. I believe if you ask a scientist about the idea of 'surviving on a long distant planet with a toxic outside,' they would tell you 'Well just don't go there and find yourself a non-poisoned planet-there's a lot of em.' About the supercomputer, no clues lead up to that so far. It's a non-book reader audience's theory. Supercomputers do not exist in the Silo saga, they have a similar thing, but that was more like software.
Solo, isn't actually dumb. So he has no real social skills, there are plenty of people who know a lot. Book knowledge, you know. Besides, he probably does has access to medical area. It's close to the lvl had been staying in for a while. I'm pretty sure he has had to deal with injury during his stay in his server room. In the book it mentions manufacturer nanites, well nanites. On a different topic related to series. So far, I haven't gotten grounded from watching this tv show. I sadly have a habit of arguing with what I am watching if it makes no sense. Example, produced by Netflix,”zoo.” first season wasn't bad, second season by 3 episode I was yelling at tv. So, I was band from watching. Same happened with other's..
@@geekademy True - the narrative up to this point though with her character, was she was seen as a respected (somewhat feared) enforcer. In desperate times time to train maybe goes out the window...and it is after all a fantasy, like we believe Indiana Jones could survive all those knocks!
I think your commentary was okay, but dude I couldn’t handle the Russian accent everytime you said detail there is this wet sounds that smacks through the camera, I had to turn it off. Couldn’t handle it

Facts and most of those channels use AI Voices and literally just copy and paste the episode’s Wikipedia.
Totally agree. I don't click on most b/c I know what channels just phone-in their videos. Waste of time.

You had me at the topic of antibiotics. I did a deep dive trying to figure out if it’s be possible
Its not all that complicated for people to make basic penicillin. Id say its 100% possible for Silo to do so. Especially if in the show we learn he taught himself with books and time to learn. Maybe we'll learn more as to how. Either way, I totally bought it.

Who knows. 😅
It makes sense that the captain listened to Sim's wife as this was a new, terrifying situation that he was not trained for. She is also the wife to a powerful man and also as mentioned in the previous episode that the man in the janitor room told the two from mechanical to be afraid of her!
In season 1 there was a lady given drugs to forget in a way. In her mind she was outside with her family instead of alone in one room in the silo
just subbed because you admitted that you have no clue what “NO 1K” means and i havent heard any other silo explanation vid say that
at 10:17 that guy kind of looks like the REAL Solo from the picture from Silo 17!
14:45 it's because she has influence, and she's the one who nod to agree with the new limit at level 120
The tattoo is the stairwell and mechanical's place.
I suspect the whole battalion are ex-raiders that Sim’s wife is leading. She mentioned to Bernard that ex-raiders are called up to serve (volunteer?)
I don’t pretend to understand cryptology but I know there are a limited number of words in English with only one or two letters. I suspect this insight may simplify the decoding process.
Retired USN? Is that what I’m piecing together? If so, ty for your service!
Unfortunatly no:) We had some training with Americans, and I was always jelous:) I served in Israel)
30:30 was there really reverse?
That’s what Lucas said
Agreed, it is what he said. Very good catch on the letters being spaced the same between the two iterations but also incorrectly spaced based on what he said. Possibly…chalk it up to being a dude from mines now reporting 1-on-1 with head of IT and he nervously said the wrong shift amount… idk I say dumb sh*t like that when I suddenly and unexpectedly have to report on something to my boss’s boss’s boss …99.9% chance it was a total “oopsie!” from writers but there’s always that 0.01%
Thank you for bringing up the very odd points of this episode
@geekademy hey brother love you but you can grow penicillium mold on bread but it's better to use spicy peppers then the penicillium is fermented and becomes low grade penicillin you can no joke make it with very little scientific knowledge and solo has access to the it computer
Interesting. Thnx for letting me know!
I really enjoyed the latest episode, it was thrilling
When Solo said he made the antibiotics. I called BS. Okay... for 1 sec the thought crossed my mind that maybe the Legacy has a replicator. Well, it could happen. LOL
I think Camille has pull both because of her past reputation (as shown in the previous episode) and as the wife of the judge.
5:24 in my head I just imagined parts of the pact or the AI computer they have had instructions for how to come up with rudimentary medicine.
the graffiti @4:10 looks like an electrical symbol you might find on a schematic or blueprint.. not sure what it exactly means but the symbol closely resembles that of the resistor.. just a thought
update: on 2nd look, it appears to be a diagram of the silo stairs with the arrows pointing down resembling falling over the edge = GetFuct?
The legacy will probably be revealed in the last episode of the season
8:36 😂 I was gonna say...

I believe if you ask a scientist about the idea of 'surviving on a long distant planet with a toxic outside,' they would tell you 'Well just don't go there and find yourself a non-poisoned planet-there's a lot of em.'
About the supercomputer, no clues lead up to that so far. It's a non-book reader audience's theory. Supercomputers do not exist in the Silo saga, they have a similar thing, but that was more like software.
Get Fuct looks like Set Fuct to me... with symbols from an electrical diagram.
8:35 that is literally happening right now in Palestine.
Dehumanizing of jewish people? Yes, indeed. But it's not new. The palestinians were friend with Hitler, they just didn't change.
He’s not a satan worshiper, he doesn’t watch the Kardashians 😂
Re Sims wife - like a lot of personel who leave the armed services, they may stay as reserves and retain their rank.
Usually when someone in reserve they are not thrown right into battle without training.
@@geekademy True - the narrative up to this point though with her character, was she was seen as a respected (somewhat feared) enforcer. In desperate times time to train maybe goes out the window...and it is after all a fantasy, like we believe Indiana Jones could survive all those knocks!
@@valleywoodstudio7345 Ofcourse, for most people I agree it's not an issue and the suspension of disbelief work 100%.
