WIlliams suffered from an extreme case of Lewy Body Dementia. And while it was not diagnosed until after his death, it is believed to be the reason for his extreme anxiety, depression, and paranoia. The doctors who performed the autopsy said it was one of the worst cases they had ever seen. He knew he had a brain disorder. He was degrading rapidly and did not want to get to the point where he no longer knew himself. There is no treatment for it.

He came to my hometown once and I got to watch him in person. I didn’t get to meet him because we didn’t pay for that in advance (it was a fundraiser) but my friend got to and said he was really cool

I was 12 when Johnny Carson stopped doing the show. I don't know at what age I started watching it, but I do remember when I stopped. I stopped the second time I watched it with Jay Leno. That was one of my first the world changes and it sucks sometimes moment. Even worse without Robin Williams. I grew up as a very young child watching Mork and Mindy. I can't believe I remember it, because I was so young, but I do.

The funniest stuff is the stuff that you can connect to an actual mistake . . . but some of these newspaper ads, "Dear Abby" letters, etc., are clearly trolls. I have not done it yet, but I have long thought about placing an add in my local newspaper that says "WANTED: Someone to help pay for the cost of this ad." That kind of stuff, seen in the local paper might give somebody a chuckle, but it is my least favorite of Jay's headlines. "Boston Butt Whole" in a grocery ad, now that's funny. But, hey, I love everything about this segment, including how jay tosses each piece of cardboard away. Somehow, it's just magic . . . but I just like Jay Leno, I guess.
Unless I'm badly mistaken, the idea wasn't meant to imply Kevin had fat lips, but rather that he used it as a sex toy. They always played Kevin as educated, sophisticated urbanite that had terrible luck with women.
Conan is funny and he keeps politics out of his comedy for the most part and certainly no more than the scheming Jay Leno who took the Tonight Show from Conan. Conan was cheated by Leno just same as David Letterman was also twenty years previously, The big difference between Dave and Conan was NBC signed a contract with Conan that had them paying out severance pay. I do believe it was to the tune of $45 million and I'm sure Conan found some consolation when he looks at the deposit slip. His show on Fox is very funny and is the only late night show l watch.
@@MountainFisher Jay Leno had nothing to do with taking back the show from Conan, NBC started panicking after Conan took over because ratings were dropping severely. It was all NBC, they begged Jay to come back. NBC forced Conan out, these are facts. I'm a big fan of Jay and Conan both.

Leno knew what he was doing and he did say he wouldn't screw Conan, but he did.
That's not really fair. The show has been on since 1954 and has only had six hosts. Each of them was very good or they wouldn't have lasted so long. They had different styles and formats but they were all entertaining. I've had the pleasure of seeing all the hosts starting with Steve Allen. Different issues accompanied each of them. Rarely did they do anything around politics and Johnny Carson never did. The guys they have now on various shows are very good but politics has become too big a part of their routine. I get politics all day long. If I put the tube on (which I rarely do) It's because I want to be entertained. I don' t watch TV news because it lacks detail, that's why I read the Gray Lady.
Robin Williams interview right in the middle was unexpected but very much enjoyed, sadly the only part of that interview I wasn't laughing was when they showed the clip of that awful movie. Mr. Williams you are loved and missed by so many and the many that will never get to experience what you brough to the world. You're everything I wish I had the courage to be, myself. I do believe it was to the tune of $45 million and I'm sure Conan found some consolation when he looks at the deposit slip. His show on Fox is very funny and is the only late night show l watch.
@@MountainFisher Jay Leno had nothing to do with taking back the show from Conan, NBC started panicking after Conan took over because ratings were dropping severely. It was all NBC, they begged Jay to come back. NBC forced Conan out, these are facts. I'm a big fan of Jay and Conan both.
@@dropzone3415 Conan's ratings were fine until Leno's show killed the 10 o'clock spot and then Leno said he'd take the 11:30 spot and put Conan on after midnite. Leno was going to trash the Tonight Show and Conan wasn't having it. Letterman on his show put it all on Leno and I agree with David. Leno knew what he was doing and he did say he wouldn't screw Conan, but he did.

That's not really fair. The show has been on since 1954 and has only had six hosts. Each of them was very good or they wouldn't have lasted so long. They had different styles and formats but they were all entertaining. I've had the pleasure of seeing all the hosts starting with Steve Allen. Different issues accompanied each of them. Rarely did they do anything around politics and Johnny Carson never did. The guys they have now on various shows are very good but politics has become too big a part of their routine. I get politics all day long. If I put the tube on (which I rarely do) It's because I want to be entertained. I don'
t watch TV news because it lacks detail, that's why I read the Gray Lady.

Robin Williams interview right in the middle was unexpected but very much enjoyed, sadly the only part of that interview I wasn't laughing was when they showed the clip of that awful movie. Mr. Williams you are loved and missed by so many and the many that will never get to experience what you brough to the world. You're everything I wish I had the courage to be, myself.
