Some personalities do not find this format of comedy (prospecting for material) funny. I’m guessing they need their jokes delivered conventionally, written for a traditional standup routine (and at present having a political slant) for them to like it.
After Carson retired, I was an avid watcher of Jay Leno. Until he retired from the show! Still a big fan in 2023! He's a good man, as well as funny! Like his Car Show, too. Watching it online.

That stretch is by far the biggest bump it's had. It's unreal something I taped 20 years ago with no idea that more than a couple of people might ever have even seen it, has eaten up a millennia. Now imagine what a really popular channel's analytics look like. I imagine Netflix has comsumed billions of years of people's time.

What's hilarious and Timeless about these is that they weren't written by any comedians. This was free abundant material that came off the stupidity of everyday people and the media. It's like no one had editors in those days for their advertising! As outrageous as these were on their own, Jay always had great banter to go along with them. And I love Kevin's genuine laugh continually in the background.
@@dennislopez8661 , logical fallacy: false dichotomy. A false dichotomy claims that only one of two things can be true when that isn't, in fact, the case. If you would rather say that you personally find Conan O'Brien funny but do not find Jay Leno or headlines to be funny, that would be true and logically sound.

Around 2000 was kind of a sweet spot though.
U must be old. Letterman was funny however Jay was not. Wake up friend 😊
They both were funny Jay had better bits.
@Dennis Lopez we get it: you don't like Jay. Do you need the list of another 40 threads to state the same opinion?
@@tomwakemsr.4942 it still wasn't too bad up until around 2008.....downhill ever since...
I miss Jay too. I hope he's doing well 👍🏽
@@RustyShackleford- They just canceled his game show.
I remember watching this back in 2000 with my grandmother. 20 years later and it's still funny and just as good as it was in 2000. Jay leno was always the best tonight show host.
Conan is funnier tho. And I watched both. This doesn’t hold up. Plus he was a perve
what does your grandmother think of todays late night “comedy”?
we'd just watch wwe and not 2 mind my own anyways hola at yah boi x
What's hilarious and Timeless about these is that they weren't written by any comedians. This was free abundant material that came off the stupidity of everyday people and the media. It's like no one had editors in those days for their advertising!
As outrageous as these were on their own, Jay always had great banter to go along with them. And I love Kevin's genuine laugh continually in the background.
Jay Leno WAS the show! Methinks not a soul could replace him! that fart replacement doesn't hold a single candle to him! We all Miss ye mate Jay!
Almost 4 hours of Headlines? Im in heaven.
Jay's commentary and kevin laughing in the background make the headlines way funnier.
No, they don’t. Conan all the way
@@dennislopez8661 you must have a crush on Conan.
You most have a crush on Leno 😆
@@dennislopez8661 , logical fallacy: false dichotomy.
A false dichotomy claims that only one of two things can be true when that isn't, in fact, the case.
A single person can find Conan O'Brien and Jay Leno's headlines funny.
I am such a person. Therefore, I disprove your claim.
If you would rather say that you personally find Conan O'Brien funny but do not find Jay Leno or headlines to be funny, that would be true and logically sound.
You can tell from Dennis's comments that not only has he never watched Leno, but he didn't watch Conan when he hosted the Tonight show for the short time he was on. It wasn't the right fit for him, and he ended up having a very successful career despite losing the Tonight show gig.
Dennis is just hating on Leno because the internet told him to and isn't capable of thinking for himself.
I love the way Jay flips away all the cards down to the floor when he’s done reading them! And I watch the reruns 😅
These never get old! They're timeless, too. As long as there is media, there will be Headlines worthy content.
Thank u for this is. U do God's Work.
Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU! I recorded a lot of these myself when they originally aired but lost the tape. You've saved some memories of my high school years!
No problem. Glad I could help.
I got an official warning about excessive noise coming from my dorm room because several of us were laughing too loud.
Thomas Ford Was worth every bit of that warning too! It was a good, clean fun time where you knew you were guaranteed to laugh!
awesome!! I so miss jay leno and monday night headlines, this video i will add to faves. =)
Thanks as always Jay. Childs River says hi.
This brings back memories of laying on the couch with my grandma and laughing every Monday night at these. Miss you grandma ❤️
Iiiiiiiiiiiiiiujoh

I start watching Jay Leno in 2004 I was 15 funniest thing I’ve ever seen now I am watching some rerun shows I missed out on
Thank you for compiling all of these. You've given folks something to take their minds off all the negative BS we have to deal with today.
