    That work good I made my own out of a piece of 6-inch c channel 2 inch angle iron and for really heavy duty coaster wheels they work good. 👍👍🇨🇦

    Looks and sounds like when you take the bike off the device it hits hard on the top of the device. Is there any damage to the bottom of the Goldwing after many dismounts?

    Yeah, I definitely like that device, and once I get a center stand, that will be my next thing for my motorcycle, aside from other stuff. :-)

    Thanks for posting this. Very thorough. Just a word of warning in general to anyone thinking of getting this or any other form of motorcycle trolley. The rougher the concrete floor the more difficult it will be to move the bike!

    I got a f6b gold wing. I found a used park an move on Facebook market. My experience is a little different than yours. First it won’t fit under the bike . No problem, put two boards on ground and parked both tires on them. Now I got the park and move into position. I also had a 2x4 piece of wood under the kick stand, when you park on boards it helps it not lean a strong angle . Anyway while I was off the bike getting the park and move into position the bike Rolled off one of the boards. Now , The parking move is in position but I cannot get the center stand down. And I cannot Get the park and ride out from under the bike. Only thing I could think of was to drive the bike up onto the board that came out. Scared the hell out of me. But it work. Now my bike is on the park and move all the boards out and on mobile. Now I got it stored for the winter in a corner but I have to plan how I’m gonna get it off.

  • @davem5333

    Anything under the center stand increases the effort dramatically.
    On a Goldwing put the suspension preload all the way down helps.

    Great video, do you keep the bike on the dolly when stored in the garage after a ride or during winter season? I'm interested in one by Redline it's the same as yours but its 1200 lb capacity and 300 lb capacity heavy duty casters. So that means the wheels can only hold up to 300 lb?

    A little tip.
    Roll your rear wheel on to a piece of wood say 2 inches high. That way you need half the effort to pull the weight of your bike up.

    I fear, that if the wheels suddently locks in forward motion. Wont the bike not drop off the dolly? Suddently you have 200 kg. bike to ballance by surprice. I dont have concrete flor for my parkspace.

    Hi, you may not have received my last post. Just wondering how the dollys would handle slightly rougher terrain suc as a cobble lock driveway?

    • @Qbal8
      @Qbal8  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Robert, I would say that this dolly performs the best on a smooth surface. As far as a cobblestone type is concerned, it just wouldn't roll as nice and easy as it does in this video. The only way to know is to try it and see. BTW, the newer model is improved and doesn't have screws that lock the casters. From what the website shows, it looks like it has foot activated locks which makes operating it much easier.

      @@Qbal8 A 2009 GL1800 Goldwing. About 900lbs. I think I may have found a partial solution: I had some 3/8" rebar that I laid in the joint and if I don't try to push the bike forward over the joint, I can get across it. Now, I'm maybe thinking that if I get some sort of epoxy filler and pour it in with the rebar to the level of the surrounding floor, it might work.

      @@brenttownsend348 Ok Brent. It would be great if you could make a video and show others what you are doing. Someone may be in the same situation and it could help them. At least post a comment back with your results. Thx again!

    • @brenttownsend2554
      @brenttownsend2554 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Qbal8 I never did try the epoxy idea. I've learned to work with the rebar solution and it's been fine. It's all in the approach and being comfortable with the dolly as you learn to use it. One thing I have noticed after the last eight months; my right knee and hip are getting a little hinky after putting it up on the center stand almost daily but I think the solution to that is I'll add another 1/2" to the plywood pad I use to raise the back tire that reduces the effort of putting the bike on the dolly. I'm still happy with the dolly. It was worth it.

    Good video sir. A cheaper option is to just use a motorcycle lift (like the one from Harbor Freight) to move the bike around. I have 3 bikes and use the jack to position them on one side of my garage. Just throwing that out there since the item you use is $300 vs $70. The lift is also a dual purpose since you can use it for doing work on the bike as well.

    Noooo it moves when you put it up on to the centre stand / it could potentially get away from you and drop it - plus my garage does not have a smooth floor so that’s another potential drop if it catches on a pebble or some other kind of hazard.. no no no there are better movers on the market

    • @Qbal8
      @Qbal8  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It never has gotten away Nigel. The gravity when you put it up on the stand keeps it in place.
