I had this same thing, Total thyroidectomy, right radical neck dissection, and central neck dissection last year. I was 16, and it was a horrible surgery definitely worse than they prepare you for, but I’m okay now. Glad to see you sharing a story for people to relate to!

Oh my gosh, glad you have that over with. 7 hours is a very long time for surgery. That first shower is always the best! Hang in there. Like the doctor said, you'll feel much better by the end of the week. Surgery is a traumatic experience, so your pain, while being bad, isn't unusual. You have my prayers and I'm sure you will be fine. Thanks for the update.

Omg really???I'm scheduled for surgery soon with hope that my symptoms will go away because they can't seem to get my levels under control for 15yrs so that's why I opt for surgery
