      Thanks Tony! Less than a month! I have learned a lot here about what I want to do at the new place. It will take a few years, but it will be fun!

    Oh my goodness..... those raspberriessss!! I wish I had a quarter of your plants!! It's only my 2nd year with them, and there are lots of baby plants growing all around the adult plants. Hopefully lots of berries in the years ahead!!!

      We had a bbq last night, and I kept telling everyone, "eat the raspberries", lol. In the beginning, I only replanted 6 or 8 of those baby plants around the pool fence... Feels like over night, bam Raspberry rich! I plan on replanting some at the new place in a couple of weeks! We need a veggie / egg stand! Something cute of course 😁

    Problem with ground cherries here is that chipmunks really love them and eat them all off the ground before we can get any. Only way for me to get any is to pick them off the plants - just flick the husks or give a very light tug, and if that's enough to cause them to drop, they're ripe enough.

      I wish the chipmunks had eaten them! Instead, all the ground cherries that I didn't get pick up off the ground, produced a million and one seedlings that took over!!! I need to think long and hard about where I plant them at the new place. Happy Gardening 🙂

      @@GardeningintheNorth Oh I get seedlings all over too, including in corners of the yard opposite from where I planted the mother plants... thanks to the chipmunks.

    I have to transplant some raspberries that are too close to my main garden. What time of year did you do yours?
    I want the harvest, but worried they won't survive winter if I do it too late.

      Rule of thumb is in the spring or late fall. However, I have never really followed that because often I do things when I have time. Last year, July, we had videos taken for this year when we listed our house. I had a section of garden around my pool fence that was empty, so I pulled out raspberry plants from another area and planted them there. They looked good for the video but slowly started to look like they weren't going to make it. I left them there. This year, they are 3 times as big and super healthy. I had this same experience in the food forest. Replanted and thought, nope, those aren't going to make it, but look at them now!

      Hello! I tried to do the translation, and I believe you are asking about the asparagus ferns. These were asparagus crowns that were planted 5 years ago. Asparagus stalks turn to ferns when they aren’t harvested. Mine are over 6 feet tall!

    Hi, i.I'm new to growing walking onions and I have a question that I've asked a few times already on another platform/channel, without a response.
    They've (walking onions) come up fast, I thought they would hold out until winter started creeping in.
    Could I top them to use or just let them go?

    • @GardeningintheNorth
      @GardeningintheNorth  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hello my friend 🙂 I've never topped them unless it was to cut and use. You can just leave them until they start growing again April / May - depending on where you live. Happy Gardening 🙂

      @GardeningintheNorth I live in Ohio, and I thought topping was what is used to describing cutting tops to use.
      Thank you.

      Hello! You are right, I didn’t talk about the giant asparagus ferns! They are so healthy, over 6 ft tall.
