It's just so easy to isolate yourself, but life passes by so much faster in the slowest way possible.

    starpuppy: "you gotta go outside"
    me: "....no"
on a real note though, right before i watched this video i forced myself to plan a trip with a few friends this summer. i always feel like a burden/annoyance to most people and asking to "hang out" with people is something i dont do. not gonna lie, i feel a little proud of myself 😅

I love this video ! Not many people talk about this.. I’m definitely in the process of healing emotionally + spiritually and SOLITUDE has been very helpful in learning to love himself
.. However it can quickly turn into ISOLATION when you start to devalue the outside world and human contact, because you know you’re safe at home from negative influences and energy.. I have to get out of my comfort zone. You gotta have balance.

girl you have no idea how much i needed to hear this right now!! i dropped out of school two years ago and moved into my own apartment in a new city. i have a few good friends here (like 2) and although i am happy with my decision to drop out/move, i feel like i've "missed the boat" on making friends because i've been here for two years and don't know how to make new friendships without the help of college so i spend a lot of time alone. alone time is good to an extent, but it's way too easy to fall into these isolation spells you are talking about and BOY does it feel like an uphill battle to dig yourself out. hearing u share your experience is giving me the lil push and motivation i need to take the first couple baby steps to turn this situation around! thanks for your kind words, hope ur havin a lovely day! xoxoxo

I just turned 25 a couple of days ago and I've been feeling even worse than usual. As someone with Avoidant Personality Disorder, depression, social anxiety and slight agoraphobia well... isolation has literally been my life since I dropped out of university a few years back. Literally I rarely leave the house nor do I speak to anyone outside my family. But this video is giving me some motivation to try to put together some steps to push myself to try & get better. So thank you!

sunny day I have suffered from social anxiety disorder for years and it has controlled my life. I've never been employed and had a job, I can barely buy my own things at the register at stores. How do you manage in life? How do you live life. I feel as though I have just wasted so much time being isolated, having zero friends, and wasting away my life. I dropped out of school few years ago due to my anxiety and still reget it. Please let me know what you've done to better your anxiety. 😭

Yeah I isolate myself a lot because I don't have any family and friends here (6 hours away from home). Oh and I have social anxiety and depression. Sometimes I just drive around, go to a grocery store to walk around, to the mall. Lately I've been going to the movies. I'm just waiting to settle into post-grad life and then I'll try to make friends again lol.
EDIT: I also suck at texting because I over think a lot but I am big on communication...at least with those that I'm comfortable with. I have groupon and FB groups that I'm a part of. but haven't gone to any events yet.
    I really appreciate these videos.

Girl, I can relate to this on so many levels as a person in her 30s. I work from home as well and have learned the importance of getting up and going out just to get some sort of human interaction. Or even just calling up and meeting with friends and family over the weekend.

I feel overwhelmed often, which leads to depression, which always makes me isolate myself.
It almost became second nature, because I don't know how to handle my emotions otherwise.
Also, most of the time I feel like a weirdo for, as you put it, being on "isolation island" and like I am the only person in the world who does it, who ignores her friends because she can't handle life.
Now, having watched your video, I don't feel so alone in this anymore. So - thank you lots!

This is so true and I’m so thankful that you shed light to this 🙌🏾 I help run a full service deli and I am truly and genuinely kind patient and loving to every single person that comes in there. I’ve been there for so long that of course in the beginning I took a lot of things personal and internal because I am a true empath. But I’ve learned how to navigate that energy and understand that some people truly have difficulties just getting out of bed and sometimes that pushiness or arrogance is mask from #fear. A homeless young lady was slight toned abrasive with me and I felt something as I was taking an order over the phone and when she came in and told me she was homeless I gave her all the free food and I tried to help her with resources! I don’t see her anymore but I always feel like my interactions with people I want to always be kind because I may be in the presence of an angel 🙌🏾 I truly feel this way. However, when I come home it’s decompression city
    I am #empath exhausted 😩

''Worth is inherent. You... As an extension of source energy are born and die with the same amount of worth and the same inherent potential which can not be added to or taken away from. You can think of worth like an eternal light which can't be turned off or turned brighter. It can simply be obscured or allowed to shine by what's in front of it.
A talent would be an example of something put in front of worth which allows it to shine. A fault may be seen as something put in front of worth which prevents it from shining.''

  • @sovamau1119

''The collective human disorder is the belief that we are not enough. The belief that “I am not enough” is the root of most (if not all) forms of illness, poverty and unhappiness on the planet today. It is this belief of pure lack of self love that filters out to create lack in all other aspects of a person’s life. Most people do not truly love themselves. So if you are one of these people who believe you are not enough and therefore do not love yourself yet… you are not alone.
For you, to say “I love myself” would feel more like lying to yourself than telling the truth. For you, to say “I love myself” would contradict your own sense of intelligence therefore, it would make you more aware of where you aren’t than make you feel good about where you are. For this reason, the process of “365 days of self love” is for you.
This process is a stepping stone which serves to help you close the gap between wherever you are and self love. Right now in the current life you are living, you most likely struggle with being sure of your decisions because the basis by which you make your decisions is not that of self love. Instead, you make your decisions based on things like principal, wanting approval or symptom relief. But in order to live the life you were meant to live, you have got to get back in touch with your own personal truth and your own personal joy. Those two things need to become the principal motivations for any decision you make. Self love needs to be the foundation which you lay first and build the details of your life upon second.... ''

This past winter, I isolated myself so so much for so long that when I actually forced myself to go out after 4 months to buy shampoo, I talked slow for some reason, I walked slow, I even drove slow and felt a little wonky, I even smiled weird because I hadnt in so long, like I have literal rust on my bones including my jaw. I am a fast moving person in general, like a squirrel. And this was such a weird experience for me that I can actually turn myself into someone who is sooo slow. And talking to even just the cashier.. was such an experience for me. I genuinely felt nice. First person I spoke to after my cat in 4 months.

I definitely suffered from isolation after college. I had a plan of packing my bags and moving to a different city and start my life. I ended up having a bad friend who scammed me, a shitty job, and very low self esteem. I was sexually assaulted in college and I also feel like that played a major part. I separated myself from a friend and especially family. Now im trying to talk again and everyone is giving me stank looks and not wanting to fuck with me. Tbh should I just not give a damn anymore. Like I don’t feel like explaining myself or the trauma that was goin on. Idk.

I really did enjoy and can relate to this video. I'm in college right now and I have one more year left and through the time I've been here I tried to be a more sociable person because I've always been isolated through grade school and strict parenting. But I'm learning that I HAVE to put myself in uncomfortable positions, to fine a new comfort or at least to get what I want and not be so to myself. I have friends and I'm hesitant to reach out to them because I know they have a life but like you said, they might be wondering what I'm up to because I'm M.I.A. and I'll need to reach out to them sometimes and spark the conversation but it just feels weird and uncomfortable to me.

Hey girl, thank you for this video. I love your entire 20's talk series, its been such a huge help to me personally. I just wanted to know, do you live at home or on your own? If you live at home, are you trying to leave? Do you get along with the people you live with? And if you live on your own, how did you do it? Not like just the logistics of money but the emotional side of leaving the nest or whatever and being independent?

I isolate myself however I talk to people at work.. Some consider themselves my friends but I consider them work friends I don't really wanna take it outside cause I don't really feel like I fit with them or that I can be myself. So I just smile when they say that... I dunno how to find people... That have similar likes or that can handle my madness

i've had a long time friend stop being friends because i didn't talk to her while i poofed from existence for a while cuz of depression. i don't really hold expectations for friends anymore because of that. i wish they'd always wonder where you were when you disappeared.

Hey pretty!!! I introduced you to one of my besties because not only is she also named Danielle, but she’s a Pisces as well. I told her you are her if she was your age... (we are mothers in our 40’s)
Question ... where can I find this mantra thing you speak of? I’d like to experience it.
You are a blessing to this world... I know you know, but I just wanted to remind you. I love your energy and am so glad the universe saw fit to bring you into my awareness. Love your energy. Keep being wonderful.

You’re awesome. Great advice!! I agree with this. I love hair and astrology lol.
I’m a natural hair enthusiast and the type of hair events that occur in my community... ehh it seems too commercial and pretentious. It’s more about getting sponsorships, pushing products etc..Just too much going on. If hair meet up events had the same genuine energy I see on some hair blogs/forums then that would be great!!! Things are so different now.
