Review | Manso. New range of dynamic lanyards (2022)

Fixe presents a new collection of dynamic lanyards. The range consists of five models to enable the user to tether themselves more comfortably and safely in climbing, mountaineering and vertical environments. The group of products ranges from a simple and practical dynamic single lanyard, through to a double model and three adjustable ones.
The most notable inclusion in the collection is the Manso, a device that allows the rope to be blocked and unblocked quickly and effectively, turning it into an adjustable arm. The Manso allows users to anchor themselves to the wall at the desired distance whenever needed.
The Manso is made up of two hot-forged aluminium pieces that are able to move independently. The two pieces allow the rope to be blocked and unblocked with great precision and minimum effort. The Manso is designed to be operated with one hand. In addition to this, its innovative design means it is now protected under patent.
The name of the blocking device is inspired by animals that are gentle, obedient and sweet-natured, such as the Pyrenean sheepdogs. These animals respond quickly and with precision, just like the Manso device.
The entire range of lanyards includes a 9.0 mm dynamic rope, with finishes designed to offer safety and durability to the equipment as a whole. The dynamic rope has Endurance braiding and Full Dry treatment, therefore resistant to water and humidity. The dynamic rope limits the force transmitted to the user in the event of a fall and the seam finishes and adhesive retractable sheaths protect the core and seams of the rope.
The entire range of products and their components are manufactured entirely in the Barcelona-Pyrenees region.
