- We have here a 2016 Lexus ES350 that says Parking Assist Malfunction. The Shop called me to calibrate the sensors, but that doesn't look like what it needs! Enjoy!

Two very useful pieces of information to keep in mind when troubleshooting. Don't assume the connections inside the connector are good, and be mindful of polarity. I always learn something from your videos. Thank you very much.
Thanks for watching!
Scary what's on the car lots. taped on sensors the hell...
Some shoddy repairs . Never know what you’re purchasing when buying a used vehicle . Think of all the cars going to auction after the hurricane in Florida . Thanks for sharing nice find . 👍
no nonsense, fast paced, and get the job done!
Thanks!
Well done and very fast 👍
At least use duct tape 😂😂😂
🤣🤣
I wonder how OEM sensors are held in. Perhaps these are all aftermarket and don't have matching hardware?
It looked like there was a thin piece of plastic on each one that was cracked. I'm not sure if it was part of the bumper, the sensor or if you can buy it separately. The shop said they would look into it... I think that means the tape stays on😂
At 6:40 you can see a good view of how they are held on. The white plastic rectangular piece is the "bracket" with double sided trim tape. It's adhered to the bumper cover and the sensor snaps in and they can be purchased separately.
@averna222 Thanks I let the shop know.
Great diag as usual! If you want to say, what is the ballpark fee to the shop for something like this? If not, I understand. Thanks
I I don't like posting numbers. I Have a service charge for coming down that includes an hour; after that, it goes up per hour.
