Checking in from SC, got hit hard but were cutting down these old growth oaks and pines, lots of damage here in the Upstate of SC, but we're banded together and clearing roads and homes. Power is coming back online, but my heart is entirely with NC as so many were devastated by the storms. God bless you guys, glad everyone is okay; we can replace property, but not people
Thank you for sharing your experience, Ray. Thank you for helping those in need. Your actual journalism has shown me more about what's actually going on than any media coverage. May God bless you, your family, and everyone impacted by this natural disaster.
You and your wife are honest and absolutely caring. You don't have to explain anything of where and why you are going somewhere. That's your business and not for anyone to look into. I'm glad to know that you and your family is safe. And what matters to me are the fact, that you care for other people who are not that lucky. It says a lot of what kind of persons you are. Man, the fact that you have to go through all this for the begining of the video shows how much you have to deal with TH-cam. Much love from Louisiana, it's hard to see anyone go through these kinds of things. Don't let the comments get you down, stay strong 💜
1-2 feet of sand deposited, and the high water line is 1-2 feet over that. There's a lot of clearing and stuff to fix. And we see whole stretches of asphalt that have broken up and been washed away.

Thank you Ray for sharing this and giving people a real idea about the damage there. Kudos for helping out all the people that you did. You have a tremendous heart.
Glad y'all are safe. I grew up in Southern Sarasota County from 1978 till 1991 and know how devastating hurricane season is. Watching your video/videos brings me a little bit of nostalgia and a lot of happiness. Please don't delete it.
I was only 1/3 through the video when I dropped you this note. It doesn't look as bad as one might expect from the video. I guess I would have had to have seen it before. Having been through a similar storm I know that the damage is much more extensive than it appears. The problem with the video is that the sand is smooth and makes things more or less look ok. The aftermath and recovery will be traumatic. All of my best wishes to you and your family. Thanks for the video.

Thanks for posting Ray. I watched this with my 2 kids as we visited the Florida gulf coast earlier this year and they’ve been quite concerned about the effect of Helene. That storm surge must have been pretty bad. I grew up in Largo by St Pete and Punta Gorda. I'm going to go down to the northern areas that really got slammed. It's been a year and half since my family was flooded and we're still working on reconstructing. Don't fight the baby steps approach through the generalized trauma. It will take some times before you can plan ahead in days and weeks format. Also, protect yourself like it's Covid during the cleanup. That washout dirt is toxic.

You're an amazing person and love all the content you create.
Thanks Ray...... You're a stand-up man..... Pretty heart wrenching. You can feel the loss and suffering these folks are experiencing. Ray I hope your family is okay.
Checking in from SC, got hit hard but were cutting down these old growth oaks and pines, lots of damage here in the Upstate of SC, but we're banded together and clearing roads and homes. Power is coming back online, but my heart is entirely with NC as so many were devastated by the storms. God bless you guys, glad everyone is okay; we can replace property, but not people
You went over, got your objective and helped some folk out. More than you realise with shifting that palm to open the roadway. Done a good!
You and wife unit are good people!!! Glad you and your family are ok.
So good of you to help out. Keep up the good work and we have your back.
Thank you for sharing your experience, Ray. Thank you for helping those in need. Your actual journalism has shown me more about what's actually going on than any media coverage. May God bless you, your family, and everyone impacted by this natural disaster.
I'm happy for you and your family that everyone is safe. It's so sad to see all of the damage .
Thanks for being so.
Man, the fact that you have to go through all this for the begining of the video shows how much you have to deal with TH-cam. Major respect to you for helping out where you can as a small business owner and still being able to be there for family. Much love from Louisiana, it's hard to see anyone go through these kinds of things. Don't let the comments get you down, stay strong 💜
Floridians help Floridians in times like this. Keep up the good fight Ray! Good to know that you and your family are ok.
Thanks!
So much damage! So thankful that you and your family are okay. Prayers for all affected.
But it might become worse before life can go back to normal. rumor has it, that another storm could form...
@@thethirdrail8397 yeah, I heard that.
1-2 feet of sand deposited, and the high water line is 1-2 feet over that.
There's a lot of clearing and stuff to fix.
And we see whole stretches of asphalt that have broken up and been washed away.
@@thethirdrail8397 And it did! Milton is bearing straight for Tampa Bay, anywhere from St. Pete to Sarasota. Here we go again...
Prayers to all the folks affected by this storm, no matter your beliefs those are to be put aside in times like this to help your fellow Americans. God bless you Ray keep up the amazing work!!!
Thank you Ray for sharing this and giving people a real idea about the damage there. Kudos for helping out all the people that you did. You have a tremendous heart.
Keep up your Work and thank You for your Great Content 🫶 Greetings and Blessings from Germany 👍
Seeing what mother nature can do is just so humbling
Thanks Ray. Best wishes and heartfelt prayers for speedy recovery for all..
That skid steer of Ray's will definitely be needed there for a few months.
Every family needs to be blessed with someone like you, helping when help is needed. Thanks for sharing what it's really like down there.
I hope all of your family and friends are safe. Hopefully all of their repairs and remediation can go quickly and smoothly.
Glad y'all are safe. I grew up in Southern Sarasota County from 1978 till 1991 and know how devastating hurricane season is. Watching your video/videos brings me a little bit of nostalgia and a lot of happiness. Please don't delete it.
As an avid off-roader, i suggest getting a kinetic snatch straps and some soft shackles, they are much better than the chains you currently have,
I was only 1/3 through the video when I dropped you this note.
Great video Ray as your camera did what was needed showing the gloom and doom. Sad thing is hearing about another storm coming soon . Thanks for opening our eyes.
Praying for all that got affected.
It's so sad to see such devastation. It's hard to comprehend something like this and I feel so sorry for all the poor people that have lost so much. Our thoughts are with you all
I feel y'all's pain, Ray. I'm a daily viewer from SC, and our town looks like a war zone. I hope everything is ok with your family and friends.
I'm sitting on the front porch/w no power watching your channel and whatever you put on here brother. Don't let anyone dictate what you do, and I feel like I know that you don't. I've been watching you since way before you got fired, working for the man, til now. To see and watch what you've accomplished in these last couple of years is simply impressive and you are an inspiration to a lot of us I'm sure, well me anyway. So you keep doing you, and I'll keep watching and usually not commenting, just enjoying your content.Yall stay safe out there.
WOW. Last year we stayed right where that big green dumpster was in the middle of the road. Thanks for posting. We’ll be back.
Thanks for posting Ray. I watched this with my 2 kids as we visited the Florida gulf coast earlier this year and they’ve been quite concerned about the effect of Helene. Anyone who says you shouldn’t have been there doesn’t understand disaster response. Yes, the first responders need space to do primary work, but in a situation like this it takes a community of professionals to help recover and heal. Glad you and yours are safe. Keep up the great work.
THANKS FOR SHARING YOUR EXPERIENCE!!!!
Thank you for doing your part and helping people on one of their worst days. 🙏
Ray, have no idea the geography of Florida apart from knowing that you didn't get directly hit,I'm from Aussie land, but brother what Ur doing is incredible. I'm usually not one for the natural disaster videos and love Ur repair content, however this genuinely made me cry, seeing all these peoples homes devastated is just something I'm not equipped for. Ray, what you did to help these poor people gives me even greater respect for you and your character. No only did you give me the confidence to work on my own car, but now U give us the human aspect of what a lovely and caring person you are... These people will remember the helping hand you gave them and will remember what you did. I know I will..... Power to you brother! I'd never expect a reply as your too busy but just know I think U are an awesome person and an awesome mechanic! Love from Andy from Aus
P.s. if there's anything financially I can do for you and your family, inc wife units family, just let me know
Now I know why I like your channel. You are a compassionate person.
Watching from New Zealand, love all you do mate.
Best wishes to you, your family and all the people affected by this storm
Wow... The devastation is unreal! 😮 Thanks for going to help and being there for your fellow humans. Be safe. Prayers for all...
Sadly amazing and done with the utmost respect. Thanks' Ray for bringing this to the world.
Bless you for giving them a ride. I was trapped on st Pete beach island so I feel their pain.
From México City, I totally understand these images, All the best for you, your family and comunity.
We thank you for the personal update of where you are and the footage you provide is great.
Im up in Atlanta Ga Ray. We were spared a direct hit, but have a lot of tree damage, luckily we only lost power in my subdivision for 32 hours and no real damage on my street. My daughter is in South Ga and got the eye. They estimate the power will not be restored within a month.
Thank you for the video. Two years ago we vacationed on Anna Maria island for two weeks and had the best time ever.
Good on you Ray for helping folks out when possible. 💪 Great to see good people still exist who help each other out. I'm so sick of the "not my problem" and "every man for himself" attitude that is common these days.
Hello Ray, thanks for sharing this. Lauren shared with us the basics and we are aware that you wouldn’t post some videos for the next few days. By sharing this whiles providing assistance as a person, demonstrates what a good and kind person you are, that’s what’s all about, providing assistance to people in need.
That storm surge must have been pretty bad. I grew up in Largo by St Pete and Punta Gorda. I'm going to go down to the northern areas that really got slammed. Took us 3 years to clean up in Port Charlotte after Charlie. Oh well, whatever it takes. We will do what we always do. Wow that's Anna Maria Island by Bradenton. I'm glad you and the family are ok. And the home and business. In my 67 years I have lived through a few nastys. Will be gathering a crew to help. God Bless. The east coast people are not the same. That's for sure.
PLEASE, PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT CLIMATE CHANGE IS REAL AND IT WILL BE GETTING WORSE. PLEASE BELIEVE YOUR OWN EYES. FLORIDA WILL BE UNINHABITABLE BECAUSE OF CLIMATE CHANGE.
Hey Ray, it was kind of you to go down there and help those you could. You're a good man and I wish there were more people who would be selfless and be willing to lend a hand to others in need. Warmest regards.
Thank you Ray for sharing this, prayers for all who were affected
People need to see videos like this. Praying for all that was effected. Thank you for helping all those people !
Dangit! To see everything so apocalyptic, to think a flat tire would mean you're stuck on your own... Stay safe people
The like was for the helping people see first hand at what is going on. Glad many people like Ray that are in the area are trying to be a small part of helping others in this situation.
Used to work for a utility company in Indiana, who would come to your state to help in electrical restoration. Sorry to say, you people have a lot of work ahead of you.
Thanks for the update ! Good to know DirtyMax survived and you're all safe.
Thank you for the help you've given.
Ray, thanks for taking us along. It looks like the storm surge was worse than the wind (many trees still standing). You are a caring person, we know this is a hard time for everyone there.
You and your wife are truly kind and generous people. I can't imagine seeing the devastation of the island where you were raised. I truly hope that trolls can practice self control. Thank you for sharing this with us. Take care of your family. My prayers are with all that were tragically devastated by the storm.
Happy to see people are helping each other dispirited the differences. You a good man, Ray. To help were you can help. Hope you all are alright. And thank you for showing this so everyone can see what devastating these hurricanes can be 😢💪. Much love from Denmark 🇩🇰
Staying safe is important. But helping people in need ( including family ) is the human and the right thing too do.
Hey there Ray, don't put this video offline. You show others what happend there in Florida, some people will never see this with their own eyes i'm fortunately one of them. You also show how we as people can be helping others in difficult times like that. Stay safe out there, and I hope you will all recover as fast as possible. Much love from The Netherlands ❤
Ray, please don't ever take what the trolls say seriously. Those of us who come here for your content come here for the goo's that you do. We appreciate you and everything you do. Many of us have come to think of you as that brother we never had.
On a personal note, if you ever need anything, don't hesitate to ask. I would drop everything to come help if you ever asked.
God bless you and all Floridians❤️🙌
Glad that bridge survived the storm surge. Thats a blessing. We assist when we can. It's the human way. Kudos.
