- this video contains the first entry and serves as a prologue in a Rain world fan motion comic series called Reminiscence! it covers the story of a misterious, yet somewhat familiar slugcat as she wakes up in a long forgotten world.
some sound effects were taken from random sfx videos from youtube as well as rain world itself!

Fun facts
Proper production for this began in February of 2024! Meaning it took 6 months to get this done! This is mostly due to the team increasing and some other complications, check the community posts if u wanna know more.
“Mystery slugcat” officially goes by she/her! ( she doesn’t know that though obviously )
Gary was actually the first thing I made for reminiscence, i had the idea of it come randomly to me and canned it, and thought it would be fun to have him show up first!
The gatling miros vulture is called gary btw
I originally envisioned this character and setting before thalassophobia but decided to leave it for later due to its scope, as well as to give it some extra baking time!
I had to get tamara to groan into a microphone twice
MANY changes were made since that original draft, from the design, name, abilities, setting, characters, nearly everything was changed at some point! Even more recently! And im sure i might tweak some things as we move forward!
I totally expect this whole project to take multiple years to complete! I imagine it would have a pace of maybe two episodes per year depending on their length! I will try my best to keep going until then!
Before Dinebone ( responsible for the final original tracks ) had joined the team, i originally was going to use a song from a video called “classical breakcore is fun” i actually paid and asked permission to the creator only to not use it in the end diemdkdk im very glad i did though!
Voice acting for a few future characters is planned!
So, heres a small tease for episode 2! The next area “mystery slugcat” will go to is called “The Piercing Ruins”! Episode two is when things properly begin!

The Gatling gun is a specific model of rotary machine gun. This means "Gatling miros vulture" eighter refers to a miros vulture that has to (ignoring a niche prototype) wing-crank its machine gun to operate, or Richard Jordan Gatling himself as a miros vulture; not sure which is funnier.
Also that spear attracted lightning even though everything is made out of metal _ʷʰᵃᵗ ᵗʰᵉ ᶠᵘᶜᵏ ᶦˢ ᵗʰᶦˢ ˢʰᶦᵗ_

This is really cool, I loved it! Also, I noticed that this mystery slugcat, while looking like Saint, has 4 dots on her head instead of 3. I wonder if its just a design choice or if they function in a similar way to Saint's
I love this interpretation of Echoes and that custom threat theme hit hard
I like the design of the entity at the end of the video, which I assume is a properly ascended ancient.

This made me question whether committing suicide would be the optimal action to partake in the case of brain damage; we know (or do we? It's at least implied) that your memories are carried over when dying within the cycle while physical damage is reverted, but there is an argument for brain damage being both physical or mental (which really is physical, just in the form of electrical and chemical signals throughout your brain) when it comes to where the threshold lies.

It may be a stretch, but I have a theory that it is a reincarnation of Silver of Straw, I can't help but see the four points on her forehead and connect them making a cross similar to how she had it on her forehead when she was an iterator puppet

This is absolutely amazing I loved it! The art is just brilliant all of the compositions were so create and the posing of the characters really stuck out! The editing the sound effects the music and of course the voice over this is just so awesome so much love and hard work clearly went in to this!! Great perspective with the storytelling! Starting this off on an Iterator Can with a strange "new" slugcat is very intriguing indeed! That Miros Vulture scream was terrifying, dude... I can't wait to see what comes next!

I'm glad to see saint portrayed as a more horrific or haunting being really puts into perspective how awful his life is
Interesting note: at the start he has the classic 3 dots but once he wakes he has 4. Could this mean something fundamental has changed? They certainly don't SEEM to want to ascend anymore, i wonder if this is a saint that has truly given up on ascension and as a result his fate has been altered

it's awesome that you're making a new series about what I can imagine is after saints campaign the new flora and fauna were pretty interesting to although I don't know how mirrors vultures would evolve a Gatling gun on them unless a iterator genetically modified them even more. maybe lizards camouflage themselves like rocks in caves waiting for the right moment to attack and have a tough body and lots of health maybe even more than green lizards and just like green lizards couldn't climb and would also probably eat other types of lizards if they got the chance use this idea if you want.

The music and sound design are so nice! it really brings together all the tense moments making the encounter with Gary seem much more dire, or adds just enough to the quieter scenes to still make them seem alive!!
The art and designs are also amazing!! The shades of green and yellow the Gatling Minos Vulture makes them feel more artificial, and there introduction makes them look so cool!!!
I hope you and the people working on this take as much time as you need when working on this stuff, and I'm looking forward to the next part in all of this!!!

Is the reason why the Beholder only has one natural eye is because Unparalleled Innocence invasively ripped one of them out of their socket via telekinesis and replaced it with a prostetic/cybernetic eye? (since UI doesn't treat their -purposed organism- pet kindly), or is because he was born with one eye only? Also does swabbie have PTSD :(
