80's KISS runs from Unmasked to Hot in The Shade. But the albums I want to focus on are Asylum, Crazy Nights, and Hot in The Shade. Those 3 albums have the same problem. They're too trebly and not bassy enough. If they would change the settings by bringing down the treble and bring up the bass and reissue them, those albums would sound amazing
I love the 80's Kulick records. Great stuff. I really think they missed out playing the really strong songs in concert. I think they missed out releasing some really good songs as the singles with lots of lead guitar playing. Oh well, we know.
Bruce for me was easily the most capable guitar player in Kiss... To have the lead guitar duties in the era of Eddie Van Halen, Yngwie Malmsteen, Steve Vai and Randy Rhoads.. no other guitar player in Kiss past or present could have made them sound relevant like Bruce did, and overplaying on everything doesn't count.
