  • We're finally getting around to doing a tour video of our 2008 Bigfoot 21RB and all of the renovations that we did this year. The biggest renovation we undertook was the floor. We removed the vinyl flooring throughout the entire camper, sanded, stained and put polyurethane down on the plywood that was underneath the vinyl and it turned out beautifully. So beautiful that we won an award for best modification at Eggs on the Hiawassee River Rally this past summer. Stay tuned to see the finished product along with all of the other things we've done to make it ours.

    Your trailer is about the same length as our (jayco 195rb) ~ 21 ft. I really like the modifications you made to your trailer. Your's has a bigger table, but ours has a bed you can walk around on both sides. Yours also seems like it has alot more open space in the middle of it. Anyways I really like what you've done with your trailer.

    Would like to see and have more info on the generator. You showed the exhaust and controls, but that was it. Also would like info on what you tow it with, make, model, engine, and your thoughts on that. We have a Dodge 1500 with the ecodiesel and a 10k tow rating. Load rating is acceptable. Any and all info would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,

    Cool RV 👍😎🎬🎶🌎🎥 where did y’all find Bigfoot? Was it expensive? I’ve heard it has great insulation? How does it pull and what are you using to pull it? Thanks love the RV ♥️🚌👏🙂

    • @RunawayRoses
      @RunawayRoses  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @Tom Austin the Bigfoot trailers are relatively expensive but are well made and will out last the typical RV or camper. We got this particular one for $28k but it was a 2008 and used and we had to drive to Colorado from Georgia to pick it up because used ones are so hard to find on the East coast. I'm wondering why you sold it? I was looking at a Casita but viewed your videos and saw you upgraded to the Bigfoot and I started looking at them. Do you find that towing a trailer is more work than a cab over camper? I would hate to invest in a trailer then find out I should have look into at cab over camper. If you could help me it would be great. Love all your videos!!

    • @RunawayRoses
      @RunawayRoses  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Randy Christensen at this point Todd would probably say it's all about what you are used to. Each rig has it's own intricacies. A trailer that has a properly equipped truck tows easy and a truck camper with a properly equipped truck tows easy. The longer the trailer, the more difficult it is to maneuver when you're actually on the road traveling. You really have to be strategic when you're parking at a restaurant or gas station with a travel trailer. With a truck camper, while it's more difficult to load, it is much easier to find parking for because unless you're towing a boat or a trailer behind it you you'll pretty much fit in most regular parking spots. So, really it's all relative. To answer your question about why we sold it, well we were very torn about that but we really didn't need two campers. We are very intrigued with the truck camper and lifestyle that goes with it and want to try this for awhile. Meaning, it's very versatile when it comes to boating and off-roading and some of the things that we love to do. We can actually bring those things with us with the truck camper. Maybe someday down the road when we get these other things out of our system, we'll revert back to a travel trailer (probably a Bigfoot just like our old one). Thank you so much for watching our videos, we really appreciate that. I don't know if you're interested in one of our stickers but if you are, send me an email with your address to runawayrosesadventure@gmail.com and I'll send you a couple. Take care and good luck with camper search. ~Carla
