I owned both of these campers. Went from the aliner to the Sol. Both have unique benefits. The Aliner being small when folded down and lightweight. The bad: not really tight due to design and A/C struggled in hot weather. There were times it was to hot to stay in. I loved the size and weight, easy to put in my barn, and hardly knew it was there when pulling. We moved to the sol for more creature comforts. Can’t complain. The only thing that’s a bummer is it’s mor than twice the weight which caused us to move up from a Ridgeline to pull to a Tundra. The Ridgeline would pull it but with a 5,000 lb pulling capacity the 4,000 pound sol made it work hard. Also the sol would not fit in a garage and not even my barn, so I had a carport built to put it under. YOU DO NOT WANT YOUR CAMPER UNCOVERED, no matter what the make. Both great campers. Just depends on your needs.
I've been looking at campers around 20 ft for a while. The Sol and Streamline are my fav by far. There are cheaper ones, but they look solid and have it all. Once retired, I'm splurging and getting one to travel the US at my leisure
thanks for the video todd & carla!! i had a similar camper to the aliner that was made by jayco. i loved the concept of it & the quick set-up. mine had a heat pump in it like the aliner you showed. problem was the heating/cooling unit never functioned properly. long story short the dealer we purchased it from bought it back at full purchase price & we bought a kz travel trailer

I have been pretty impressed with the INTech RV's. They look really well built and are stylish inside and out. I still love our bath in the 400 though.
They are pretty cool, I was very impressed with them the first time we saw one. When we saw that Southland had one, I told Todd we should do a tour. I think Russ and Kerry did one too if I remember correctly.
The Sol looks like a very nice camper. I would consider getting one of them if I ever give up my Casita. I have a lot of your videos to catch up on since I didn't get to watch while I was remodeling my kitchen.....almost 3 months without a kitchen has been rough. Hahahahaha

I agree, I’d rather have the extra room and delete the bathroom sink, since the kitchen sink is so close. I wonder if the interior walls use metal or wood framing
@Stuart Stuart the walls and trailer are made of aluminum. There is more info about the construction on the Sol website, I just saw it before posting the video 👍
I love the Intechs but for weekend warrior camping I really like the Aliner. Easy to tow and will fit in my garage and setting it up is a breeze.Great reviews!
If I can afford to keep my camper I just got and get a 2nd one, I'll be getting one of those Sol campers. That thing is bad to the bone! I have my super tiny camper that I wanted, and then I did say that in the future I want a slightly bigger camper for bigger trips! That one is perfect!
@This Nomadic Idea yes it's very fun to look at the new Airstreams they have. I find it inspirational 😁. We have heard from one of our friends that they have a good rv service center too, we haven't used them before but it's always good to have a good shop in mind just in case. Thanks for watching!

No sink in bathroom is dead for me . Got brush teeth and wash those dirty hands not in the kitchen sink ! No back bumber for protection . No Solo for me .

i went and toured the factory and well built it had two negatives
dense particle board floor and luan next to fiberglass . This was a. year ago

19 minutes, nothing on power supply, do you live in drive way with extension cord to house? Or do you visit rv parks with 30 amp plug.

We've probably ordered more parts from Southland RV than from anywhere else. Sometimes we go just to look at new Airstreams. Love the video.

Currently shopping as a newbie. What are the chances that big front window would be taken out be a rock in transit?

It’s nice but a window over the mattress creates too much moisture and mildew . That goes for any model with a window over the bed .
