    I am still shooting my original Pro V that I got six years ago. I put it on my new bow, Prime Inline 3. I saw no reason to not keep using it. It has been abused and held up. The Prime Inline bows actually have a tie off point on the top limb specifically for limb driven rests. It can be moved to the bottom limb if preferred. These rests tune easy. I bare shafted out to 30 and quit messing with it. I much prefer the limb driven style rests over cable.

    Do you think that specific bow with the ltr is the only one where you would need to tie to upper limb?

    I was watching a video from average Jake's archery about the biscuit
    Asked him a question he said you'd be best to awnser
    Ive been thanking of fletching feathers... How does the biscuit effect the arrow with feathers?
    Does it matter if it's straight offset or helic?
    Pros and cons of shooting feathers through a biscuit
    Thank you for any imput

    • @NewDayOutdoors
      @NewDayOutdoors  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I only shoot feathers. I have shot feathers almost exclusively for 20+ years. But I have played with vanes from time to time through that period. I also have shot biscuits on all of my bows for 15+ years. I had also played around with different drop away rests like QAD's for example. But I always went back to the feather/biscuit combo. In my experience biscuits are harder on vanes than they are feathers. Vanes get wavy and can tear eventually. The vanes are forced through the bristles, which has friction, and friction causes heat. That is one of the primary reasons they become wavy. Feathers tend to collapse down when they go through the biscuit. The result is that the top edge of the feather will get a bit roughed up, but the body of the feather generally stays nice for a long time. Feathers are very forgiving. While we tend to obsess about the looks of our gear, feathers can fly great even with they look beat up and horrible. Think about a bird, their feathers get beat up on a daily basis, yet birds still fly. Now a bird also has to replace feathers and eventually you will have to replace them on your arrows as well. Personally, I generally re-fletch my feathers once a year, but honestly, it could go much longer. If you do not shoot a lot, you might get years out a set of feathers. If you shoot 200 arrows a day, every day, you might have to re-fletch twice a year. It is all relative. But I will always hang my hat on the fact that feathers hold up to a biscuit rest much better than vanes do, and that feathers are a more forgiving fletching in terms of arrow flight. I am brutal on my gear. I will shoot a deer, take the blood soaked fletchings and scrub it with dawn dish soap and water, and throw it back in my quiver and let it dry. I don't worry about them getting wet and I don't worry about they way that they look. They just fly every time for me.

    They make brand specific mounts for this rest, so if the standard doesn’t work with the bottom limb attachment maybe the Elite mount would.
    I noticed that the website says the Prime mount and other brand specific mounts don’t have micro elevation adjustment, only micro windage.

    • @NewDayOutdoors
      @NewDayOutdoors  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yea, they came out with an Elite specific mount after this video was done. They told me at the time that they had one in the works, but due to the crazy summer that was 2020, they didn't know how soon it would be available.
