Hey Matt, you're the only youtuber out there that can express what archery is all about. I am FIRED up to sit in a tree. Thanks for peicing this movie together!
I agree. He is really very good at articulating it all. I just recently came across this channel, but I'd have to say that it's my favorite traditional archery channel. I'm ALWAYS fired up to sit in a tree! Unfortunately, I didn't get to fill both my tags this past season. I got a decent a doe that was a clean pass thru from about 16 yards, using my 62" Yukon (60# draw) but it was just one of those years where no real big boys came close enough to make a clean shot. I had been getting several pictures of a fucking MONSTER buck on my trail cam on that particular trail prior to the season. And i mean he was a legit record books monster, but I never saw him once when I was out there unfortunately. And the couple bucks I did see weren't nearly as big, and just didn't come in close enough. It was all in all a pretty disappointing end to the season to finish with an unfilled tag, but it is what it is. It was just one of those years. The doe I got was fairly decent, and it was beautifully accurate shot. Arrow passed clean thru, taking both lungs and slicing the heart, and she barely made it 10 yards before going down. So it wasn't a total waste or complete failure. But certainly not the one I really wanted. It was nice to not have to blood trail one for once tho, and have her basically lay down right there within eyesight. It was my first season hunting out of a saddle tho, and I really liked that quite a bit.
Great video. It took me about 5 sits to watch it all. Worth it. Interesting to see everyone's bow set up. Etar looks like a blast. One day I may muster up the energy to go... I think everyone watching needs to appreciate the time it takes to make a quality film like this. Hours and HOURS behind a computer, as well as time spent Behind the camera. Well done video.
I’m new to traditional hunting and put the compound down after this past elk season. Focusing on whitetails in the home state of wv with the recurve now. Watched this video entirely through and learned so much. Appreciate it and everybody that took the time to talk 👏🏻
Oh my gosh!! Thank you guys for sharing your shot processes, equipment and thoughts on trad bow hunting. This is awesome to hear about others struggles, success stories and what works for them. I learned a lot from these video interviews!! Love it!!
Great Video ! Years ago , my mentor and friend, Mr. Owen Jeffery, gave me some great advice. He said Len," it's not the bow , it's the NUT behind the bow ", that makes the shot ! There can not be any doubt in your mind that you can make THE SHOT ! One more thing : Never end a practice session on a bad shot ! The last shot ,of the day, is the one you will remember until you pick up the bow again ! GOOD LUCK THIS FALL !
Awesome guys, bowhunters, knowledge and content! Thumbs up for another great video, Matt. Really appreciate your efforts of sharing the knowledge of bow hunting and traditional archery. Thanks🏹 Greetings from Norway
Great film! Very informative and inspiring. It also came out at a great time for me. I haven't been exactly indifferent, but I haven't been as excited as i have been in previous years. It gave me some motivation.
This is an awesome video I will watch again. These are all the main hunters I follow with only a few missing Tim Nebel and Aron Snyder. I appreciate you sharing this. Although I am bouncing back and forth between the wheel bow and recurve, this makes me want to continue pursuing my first traditional archery kill. Thanks again.
1:43 Goddamn! The shot on that black bear was absolutely CLUTCH AS FUCK!!! It doesn't get much better than that! He definitely took both lungs on that one. Just absolutely beautiful shot placement! I swear tho..you have a fucking dream job! I would absolutely fucking LOVE to be able to do what you do full-time.
For Matt Zimsak, I took of my Jeager grip from my DAS 19" riser and replaced it with Tourna tennis grip tape. Gets me as far into the deflex of the riser as possible. Feels good and doesn't slip in my hand.
I really enjoy the push archery videos. Up until a couple years ago I was all about deer and hog hunting with a trad bow. I have since moved to the Alaskan interior and moose caribou as well as grouse and ptarmigan have taken hold on me. I do have a Northern Mist longbow I use some buy my Win&Win ILF bows dominate my hunts. I had many people try to discourage trad archery hunting here buy I just can't walk away from it
Great video. I think it would be cool if there were interviews with average Joe’s talking about their bows and what they’re shooting. I think there are a lot of great hunters out there who aren’t “famous”. Not to take anything from this video, it’s great and I enjoyed it immensely, like all your videos.
Loved Joel Turner's mental approach to shooting. In the end, the whole sport of archery is mental. So, why not let that be the focus of each practice session?
Dave Dorhn who is past away (Archery Past . 4 straight vanes 3-4inch is more accurate and steals the least energy. Cock feather in gives you tighter groups.

I was camping near the lake at ETAR and saw the interviews happening. I knew the Push was up to something great, and you delivered!
You definitely do have a great tune with your setup. That shot when you are standing next to Joel shooting a long shot into the shadows is great.
Wow! Thanks for the video! This has to be one of the most fun, well rounded, informational traditional archery videos available. Loved it!
Once again the Push delivers a very strong performance, love and appreciation to all involved in this project. You guys are the best!!!
Alot to absorb, here. Well worth watching the whole thing. So much knowledge you all shared!
Oh my gosh!!

Great stuff Matt!! When can we expect the DVD version? You have some a great skill not just as an archer but as a film maker.
Sharpening my Simmons safaris while I wait 🤘🏻
Very informative. Especially to us new trad guys.

I like running my bows without grips as well. They feel so good that way!
Awesome show.. great advice!
Thanks
:)

Excited you're here! Couple more hours!!

Good job
Great video
That was really good, well done Matt, how many man hours have you put into that.
It was a big lift in the editing room. Our editor has been working on this exclusively since ETAR this fall.
Hurry up I'm tired of waiting
4 fletch straight is more accurate than 3 fletch helical. Especially longer shots. More retained energy.
I hold for 30"SEC or sometimes a minute..55lb.. Hunting From the trees.. cow elk and mule deer every year..
