@@nobaccos I can't tell if you're being serious or sarcastic. Sony's barely even worth considering these days when it comes to receivers/processors. The frontrunners in the industry left them in the dust years ago.
Why did you go with the Purifi instead of their NCOREx? I have an A1H and was about to pull the trigger an a buckeye Hypex NCOREx 3 channel but saw the purifi amp and got confused which one to get.
@@jmethane4810 Honestly, you won't notice a difference. I had an opportunity to buy the Purifi for the same price as the Hypex, so I went with that. You'd be just fine with the NCORE. Reach out to Dylan at Buckeye, he's very responsive and honest about what he thinks you should get based on your setup. He'll probably tell you to get the cheaper one.

Niceeee, what is the benefit of usign diferent size subwoofers? I just got an klipsch rp 1400sw to replace an old onkyo 10 inc subwoofer, was wondering if theres something beneficial to running both.

There will be a door there by the end of the week. And No it doesn't work well for sound.

hi im thinkin of in the future, to upgrade my avr.. and ive mostly looked at everything else than denon! because ive had a denon avr before, and really thougth it was crap.. it was weak sounding, and didt not make any good feeling in my body... but its like 13years ago now... would you really say, that denon is up on their game?? i seen more and more use them, over marantz or onkyo.. but in my mind, its still hard to forget the exsperience with the denon.. greatings michael

Given the amount of money you basically made me spend (B&Ws all around, Denon A1H, Valencia seating, etc), I think you have to do mine in a future home theater hangout hahaha

Great camera work in this vid! Awesome new setup. I've never had a auto-calibration give me adequate bass. So I've always just redone the levels and EQ (then levels again after EQ) the way I did at real theaters which is probably not ideal for home stuff but I like it. My main issue is that the EQs at home are usually much more limited, usually something like 10 bands compared to the 31 it should be.
Yeah I've never had auto eq get bass right either. You always got to go back and tweak.
I always lower all my subs level by 8db on their internal amp before I run calibration. Then I bring it back up when I’m done.

Awesome setup!! Looks like you haven't put up your projector screen yet and you were using a tv for now? Also what happened to your trinmov and kscape? Also with your low ceilings you might get a nice upgrade by going with 6 ceiling speakers/channels.

Thanks for showing denon some love I'll have one in my endgame it can do 9.4.8 speaker configuration and has next gen gaming features,dtsx pro plus Dirac upgradable and much more it's the best in my humble opinion sorry anthem and audio control nad ect. Last but not least internal amplification if you want to run a ton of small speakers without using seperates but I'll be putting it in pre amp mode and using external amplification

It’s need more manual tweaking for the lfe since it doesn’t have four independent sub out.

Hi Shane. I have the X8500HA and would like to know how it compares to the A1H you just reviewed. I chose this receiver for its tech and all the legacy connections vs the A1H having only HDMI connections. I have every speaker possible connected. 7.1.6 for Dolby, Dts, Imax and Auro 3D. The Auro, I use center front and center height vs two front height, two ceiling height and two rear height for the other decoding. All my speakers are B&Ws and the sub is a JL audio F212. I love this setup that has took me years to put together. I enjoy watching you videos and keep up the good work!
Stick with the 8500 unless you want Dirac or need 8k support.

Right now I live in an apartment and it's noisy with neighbors and a busy road right outside. Single pane windows and a door that lets noise through. It's impossible to be immersed or relaxed while watching a movie lol. I can't wait to get a house to do my room similar to yours!
The r7t towers you have are rated to 400 watts the amplifiers you have only push 200 watts. Do they need more power or are they plenty with only the 200 watts? I ask because I am buying amps for my theater and I am so confused by how much power I actually need

Dirac vs Audyssey ?, is it worth?, i bought this one on release, and the other day i remembered that Dirac was not an option on release, but now that it is, do you think its wrth the extra tediusness and extra mic , against Audyssey?
Bought 2 monolith m215s will this have enough voltage to push them properly? My onkyo rz3100 doesn't cut it and i cant get them to cause me concern for my house as they should.

Thanks for the tour. That was fantastic. As for Dirac, I need to do some research. Don't quite understand it. Why do you need to pay an additional fee to adjust your subwoofers? Is that function not built into the receiver?
Dirac is a web-based calibration tool that’s built into compatible receiver/processors and has different levels of capabilities depending on the version. The version with bass control is currently the 2nd highest tier.

I always had to increase my LFE for my subs with Dirac, but I just upgraded to a processor with ARC Genesis, and the bass is just outstanding, plus 4 independent subwoofer calibration..but I only have 2 subs for now.
When you say dirac, are you referring to dirac bass management?

$6500 is a lot of money and I wouldn’t buy it to connect external amps. A pre-pro setup would be better at that cost
So is all this your equipment then, just not your theater? What do you think of the R7ts vs the R5ts? You rate the Perlisten subs really well, but you don't have those in the theater? That size of theater is similar to the size my theater will be with 3 rows, etc. How do you feel the size & length vs sound is? And last, isn't using a receiver vs a processor, and "Monolith" brand amps is a little on the lower end of Hi-Fi? How does that set-up compare so higher end? Thanks Shane!

The A1H would be my ultimate receiver i reckon, i have the 6700H in preamp mode with two Tonewinner AD-7300PA+ amps running my 7.1.6 setup, i do have a speaker installed for VoG but i need to find a solution to allow me to hook that up for a preset two layout.
Time to get that A1H.

How is the bass.nulls? I have a room at woth similar dimensions and the middle of the room is completely dead. Near walls and corners i have extra heavy bass. Ive moved the subs, but at the listening positions i have little to no bass. Because of the furniture and room shape the middle is the main listening positions so its hard to move.
Use REW. Shouldn't be to difficult to figure out.
What do you think of the RTJ 18 inch Subs?
I would think you would get better bass response by having the same size subs on each wall. Eg. 18s in front.
in your previous home theater you had trinnov 16 altitude processor, why did you change it to JBL SDP-55? is it better in sound quality ?

You kind of compared eversolo vs Hifi rose. Some audiophiles have hinted that eversolo won’t work in the future without much explanation except firmware eventually cannot be updated? Whereas Hifi rose will have no trouble?

How did the REL 1205's and the Rythmik's pair and integrate together? I actually have 2 of those REL's as well and have been looking for something that goes deeper without having to completely ditch the REL's. I was also look at the Rythmiks, maybe the E15 ones.
With a little DSP they sound great.

No need for Kscape 😮 I can challenge your JVC projector with my AWOL 3000 pro especially when it comes to 3D. The Denon receiver is next level. I can't go on..Have a good night

Near OLED quality on a screen thats not huge? Why not save nearly $20K (projo + screen) and just get an 80”-class OLED? Or maybe swap it out for an 85” Bravia 9?
That could get you a matching big sub and proper acoustic treatment.

Yep they definitely don't watch.
Thing is, hardly anyone does. Videos got 21k views and even if he got 5k viewers on his livestream, that’s means 75%+ of viewers don’t know wtf happened in the livestream. In this case, less than 5% saw the livestream so yeah, not surprising.

I myself have the AH1 and loving it running a pre amp for my main speakers. I would love a full review on Dirac live bass control because I’m trying to dial in my 7.2.4 lm gonna try your advice with adjusting the bass graph that you mentioned.
