    Oh thats nasty. I had a voightlander vito cl that was water damaged and seized. I took it completely apart and cleaned it and rebuilt it. Hours spent was a lot but hey i saved it and now it works just fine. An ultrasonic cleaner is a must have tool.

    I would be tempted to see how many rusted parts could be saved by using a non corrosive rust remover and maybe some magic with ultrasonic cleaner.

      It's hard to say because with this camera especially I'd worry that the integrity of the parts was compromised by the sheer amount of buildup but I'm holding onto the parts in case they may be salvageable. I wouldn't mind dunking the whole camera into an ultrasonic cleaner 😅

    What red handled tool did you use to get the front lens housing out?

      I use Rosary Pliers but to remove the front retention ring I recommend a good pair of sewing scissors. No foolin' they have done wonders and I'll likely have a video made regarding that topic soon.
