Of course Brasil is not for everyone, but many Europeans and North Americams vastly improve their life by moving permanently to Brazil. In relation to the mains electricity voltage it's also worth noting that it is 60hz AC (as in the US), but Europe is 50hz, also re the 127/220v situation, some places, like Foz do Iguaçu are dual voltage, but the physical outlets are the same, and may not be marked differently, so you could plug a 127v fridge etc into 220v!

Imo it's difficult to compare. You can't compare the quality. Prices changes 2 times a day. On monday supermarket 1 is the cheapest. On Wednesday supermarket 3. Can be 20-30%. Or they tripple the price of some products and hope you don't notice. And drop the price of products that expired the day before... imo Europe is cheaper regarding groceries because you have B-brands. And such sale tactics are forbidden in the EU. Electronics, online shopping, everything international, cars, carparts,... is a disaster. But overall quality of life is higher, the climate, the people, the experience, some services,... when you get used to it, it's fine and you have something positive to experience when you spend some time in the EU.

Hi, I always in 1 payment when the store offers a discount. Usually the smaller stores offer a 5% discount if you pay in 1 payment with a debit card. The bigger stores do not usually offer a discount so I pay in multiple payments using my credit card.

Brazil is big it's not just rio for me case I would live to live in florinopolis or Balneário Camboriú
