I facilitate Family Group Conference but don't remain in the decision making process but would likely wear the blue hat initially to give direction, a social worker is also present so would wear a blue hat albeit temporarily. We leave the meeting and the family come up.with decisions and solutions. Q
If a family member in agreement with the family leads and wears blue hat at what point does his input take place if he is always in the blue hat 😮😊

Re: the red hat, what is the point in having people say negative things with no justification? What does it contribute?

Wearing the red hat means that you can say something, perhaps negative, however, you are also perhaps not sure why. If once you say something negative and then you have to justify this can be difficult. Red hat gives you the opportunity to bring into the discussion how you feel. If you had to justify but can not express why it might mean that in the future you stop bringing in to discussions how you feel, so these emotions would be 'lost'.

Thanks for you comment, and I must honestly answer that I had not thought of this and having a more diverse range of 'models' in my pictures. I do apologize for this and will be more thoughtful in the future.

...and in a similar vein why did de Bono choose black for his caution colour?
Black is so often associated with danger. Personally I try to avoid "denegrating" colour terms such as "blacklist", etc.

@@fitigued if you listen to De Bonos own explanation on youtube , of the 6 hats theory he actually says he regards it as the most important in the whole set up
