      a red hat could say something like: i dont like it. humans need humans to interact with.

    I like the video. I am curious why the red hat is not used in the example?

    • @tunacagla6445
      @tunacagla6445  3 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      good question. you don't need to use always all hats. It depends on the subject. If you think that the red hat (emotions) will be useful for that subject then you should use it. But if the red hat will have a confusing effect on the participants then you should better avoid it.

      in design thinking the emotional component is mandatory, especially when asking "what does the end user feel/think" through the practice of empathy.

    From the example, it didn't mention about the red hat so what might be rhe reason?

    • @tunacagla6445
      @tunacagla6445  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can skip some hats depends on the topic. In my case I didn't need the emotional part (Red hat). You can use the red hat specially for topics where the participants need to share their emotions. You can use the red hat before the black and yellow hat and once again towards the end of the meeting to get a feeling about the emotions of the participants. That will give you also an opinion of the result of the meeting.

    Good to learn by video.Thanks for making such good videos. Further , I want to know if there is some certain way of deciding the sequency of the hat using?

    • @tunacagla6445
      @tunacagla6445  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for your comments and your questions. I mostly decide depends on the outcome I want to achieve. If I want a new idea to come up than I prefer to use the green hat towards the end. If I want to have an idea or a situation valued than I prefer to end up with the black and yellow hat. Does this answer help?

    How to conclude the discussion when several positives and negatives are outlined and several information to be collected for decision making, thanks for your help.

    • @tunacagla6445
      @tunacagla6445  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Sorry for a very late reply.
      You have several options:
      - If you struggle to come to a decision I recommend you to devide the problem/subject into smaller pieces.
      - or you can make a risk/benefit evaluation of the pros and contras and choose the most benefit option
      - or if you can't come to a decision in one session you can go for a second and third session specially if you need more detailed information or if you need to include other participants.
      the main goal with this method is to bring awareness to participants that there is more than just one way of thinking. all participants gain the skill of seeing things in a different way which is also very useful in their daily working life.
      I hope I could answer your question. feel free to ask more.

    You missed the red hat?

    • @tunacagla6445
      @tunacagla6445  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes I know. I didn't see it necessary to use it in this example. I may make an additional video with a different topic and use the red hat. I hope you liked the video anyway.

    how can I use six thinking hat in a school campaign of STOP SMOKING?

    • @tunacagla6445
      @tunacagla6445  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you like to find new ideas for the campaign then you should start with a green hat and then evaluate the ideas with the yellow hat and black hat. If you want to focus on the problem smoking then you should start with the black hat and yellow hat and then come up with some ideas with the green hat.

      @@F1__1 It’s just that horrible management decisions are made all the time in business, government, etc. This is for a variety of reasons but often it’s just the type of mistakes that this exercise can prevent.
      I read his book many years ago and Debono’s advice and techniques have been invaluable.
