Following a recent facelift the latest Jaguar XF is great to look at and even better to drive- everything a top British luxury car should be. Its leather-trimmed interior is wonderfully detailed, and a world away from the dark, sombre cabins of many Audis and BMWs. Refined and well equipped, we say it's one of the best executive cars money can buy. - ยานยนต์และพาหนะ
Me and my dad took this for a test drive today, he fell in love and im pretty sure its gonna be on our driveway rather soon
Niko Lindhé did you get it?
@@Zaidgoku 9 years later, I want to know. Did he buy it then lol?
Another great review.
I must commend you, Mat. Your delivery, choice of words, etc is most pleasing.
You seem to have found a role that suits you well.
Cheers.
@carbuyer i love your timing and your videos whenever a new car or a faceliift comes out you will review it just before others do thanks a lot . keep reviewing new facelifts in the future.
Every man needs a JAGGG~
This matt from carwow?
have any of the guys actually slagging of the jag ever been in/had/driven one? I doubt it. I have and I have been in the german rivals as well - although i don't rate this engine - the 3.0 diesel is much better (more expensive yes), but it is a class above the rest and the truth is there isn't really any future in the big petrol engines these days - as lovely as the XFRS is though. the build quality is better than a merc (merc is pretty shoddy these days), its better equipped, it looks nicer than all its german counterparts, its much more classy than a audi or bmw, and the comfort is out of this world. and its not an indian car you muppet its built in this country! just owned by indian owners but hey they have done a good job brining jag back. overall coming from someone who HAS driven/been in the other cars in this class take my word for it - don't be a boring bastard and go for a bmw/audi/merc, because you are missing out.
David Bradshaw
Bro the problem with these cars is that they are too heavy and that bloody weight kills the speed 😠
I always follow this guy's adivce when buying new cars. Can't wait to buy my first one...
great review
You need to do the Jaguar Xe video review.
Who' here in 2019?

This is simply stunning! Love the rear, love the front and I adore the price. It is one of those dream cars that are actually quite affordable. (compared to say an Aston Martin)
It's gorgeous
He has good taste
These reviews are actually better than Top Gear and Fifth gear.. very practical and generous..
top gears reviews most of the time arent serious and idk what to say about fifth gear
The 2.2d sounds like a tractor at low speeds, c'mon Matt you should have mentioned it. The noise and single exhaust made me opt for the 3.0d.
0-60 in 8 sec used to be fast and in truth is strong. Our commentator mentions strong overtaking performance which is a diesel speciality, even the smallish capacity ones. Real world performance it the real deal, I'd take it if I could afford it!
gert83 i appreciate your job as med affairs director for GSK, i work as area manager for Colas
I have an XF S with a slight bump in power, however i still manage to get around just under 40mpg's. Not sure how you were sitting in the back there but i can fit comfortably. Pretty annoyed about the facelift thought ha.
@rickerbycourt
Is the DW12C made in the UK? I'm not 100% sure it is.
@omendark123 Hi Mat from CarBuyer here. Yes that MPG was after doing lots of passing shots for the camera so the engine was getting a serious workout. However, I did an MPG test on the car and still only managed 36mpg during a period of 'normal' driving. From my experience, in similar circumstances I'd expect to see around 45mpg on the display had I been in a BMW 520d or Audi A6 2.0 TDI.
i thought this engine would be in the x type replacement.will it?when will the new baby jag come along.this new 2.2 diesel in a x type replacement would be even more economical and fast.will it happen?
hey car buyer about time for a new XF review? There is a updated model out again. Thumbs up so they see
no kiddin' mate. got one and used for Holland-East Europe bussines road trips. Yeah m8 luxury car, extra sensation....but got a feeling of Ford background. Also i think euro models like the 5 or A6 are more solid and the EURO DNA background is more present. Direction on Audi A6 is bettter as also the brakes.
I always see them in Cali, especially NorCal and SoCal
BEST CAR EVERRRR.....LOVE THIS CAR
Oh, that's awesome, It's a really nice car.
go for the old version
Round headlight 🤢🤢
bdbd a Nothing wrong with that...
its really strong for a small diesel too
can you review the brand new facelifted bmw 1 series please.
its also worth noting that its NOT more expensive than its current 5 series rival. The 520D in comparable spec is a good few thousand pounds more expensive. Even then, you still don't get the options the jag has, like electric seats, premium sound system, sat nav etc. To spec that up on a 520D results in a car costing amost £40,000 vs the £34,000 of the XF 2.2. sport
Thanks mate :)
yes 28.8, that's because it's new engine + I'm very positive he tried its limits earlier on...
Thank you.
And the most important consumer advice : don't buy that color !
Silver or black only.
Burgundy is gorgeous my dad has the silver one
V4Vendetta ano. its vile =/
@@buca9696 whiiiiite
@@buca9696 I disagree, lovely color, black and silver are sooo boring.
It's a Jaaaaaaaaaag.
28 Average MPG @ 2:02... Pretty far away from the 52 MPG, right?
How much does this approx. car cost ?
Does this newer XF have a petrol engine?
I thumb up every Matt video.
Actually he is in the process of buying an XJ now :P
i want to kno abt the price like to hear from u soon
@omendark123 I actually thought 28 mpg is quite good for a sporty drive. A Max out prius can only do about 17 mpg(i rmb seeing it on top gear with a 10 lap race with an m3)..But no i don't agree that it can be 52 mpg. Isn't it expected that Jaguar or any kinda of british car is not known for their reliability or efficiency? However I have to agree that even if you don't believe in the "car with personality" thing it is still better looking then an A6 or a E-class at least.
Don’t forget, your taxi drivers are gonna be swapping this car for the Mercedes E-Class's. -Mat Watson, 2011.
Yooka: (says nothing)
#respectVW
nice choice, i think the interior is way ahead of some other car makers aswell. and yes you are totally right, luxury cars are LUXURIOUS NOT f1 cars. now have you seen the XJ? that is a dream!
Can't wait to see the DS4 review :)
Which one is better?? BMW 530D M sport or Jaguar XF 3.0 since the bmw 530D's accelaration from 0-100 is 5.8 sec and the jaguar's 0-100km/h is 6.1 sec. But in terms of perfomance and specs , The jaguar beats the BMW 530D
Did he buy one?
Think what you will, the XF is the sexiest saloon in its class.
patriotbarrow by a country mile my friend, by a country mile.
Awesome car ....much better brand value than owning a mercedes( germans use mercedes as taxis)
Norwegians too, they're everywhere
Xrq
Xrq
Most presidents, ceo's and state heads use Mercedes as well.
In Norway, we actually use BMWs for some reason... however sometimes, its Jaguar and MBs too
we have the same car just in black, 3.0 and bigger aluwheels
is this new jaguar xf 2012?
volvo xc90 review please....
The equivalent Auidi's aren't aren't even rear wheel drive or even an understeery 4wd... I don't see how they even compare.
i think it ses 28.0 MPG and i think its really low because of the way he's driving it.
you'll surprised how many E class and E class standard taxi's there are out there.
I don't like the new side gills on the facelifted version.
Single exhaust? Dual looks so much better!
It's so damn sexy! I love the front lights! =)
Do they make the XF with petrol engines? I just hate Diesel engines wit
Tommy4533 yeah they do
@johnnywires3
No. There'll be a newer unit to go in that.
Front is nice but back end is not so good, i realy don't like the hole car, i prefer the 5 series or the A6 for style
@omendark123 The new A6 with the all LED headlamps are great looking. But apart from its all aluminum light-weight contraction there is no new stuff about it. The 2012 1 series finally addresses the "practical" issue (they haven't solved it, being rear wheel drive, but they improved it) but some how the backside reminds me of a Polo and the front an Audi A1 with BMW own light bulbs.
why did they get rid of the silver buttons they looked better
This is way better than Merc, Audi or even BMW, why the fuck I rarely see one in the road?
well, thank you very much for upmarket enterior in terms of both quality and design, but come on, high class car without parking camera, that's a shame, my nissan primera wins on that field despite it is lower class and older model. and I do think it is more important in saloon car than popping lever of gearbox
The XFs all have parking cameras. I own one I know it does firsthand. And it’s not an option.
Well, as Clarkson said: It's a Jag!
@lopiumx yes
@KingJus414 I agree
MATTTTTTT
@lopiumx
Yes.
Hi, Matt Watson here from Car wow! Oh wait..sorry…that’s not it
Ага, сам офигел))
Best looking executive car? Aston Martin Rapide :P
u look gud in the car
Love Jags sexy cars I have one, no one looks twice at a BM, it counts eh? lol
Buy the 3ltr twin turbo xfs
I had one on demo .it's mental goes like fuck
It's on Parr with my old supra for non stop grunt
yes m8 but Passat is a nice and reliable car. Company gave me a 2011 new model 1.6 tdi CR for a road in Norway and i have to say....the most economical in its class. Ford are good car too, in mainland Europe people tend to buy VW or Opel, but in UK, Ford is the king!
It is but a car that weighs almost 2tons with a low powered diesel isn't gonna break speed records
@shauntanweibin
Only 5.0 V8 for now.
They need to bring diesel cars here to America. They complain about gas and oil, but they always allow the importing of the biggest and most gas-guzzling models available!
how is 8 seconds quick?
mohammedschannel remind me when he said 8 seconds is quick. It’s a 2 tonne car with a small Diesel engine it isn’t gonna be breaking the land speed record or anything
Holly cow, I saw nine thumbs up a wink ago now its twelve, awesome.
great car, but I like CLS better
@omendark123 Well of course it wont do 52 mpg on a test drive....where they drive it to its limits....520d wouldnt do any better either.
Where do you live that has Mercedes taxi drivers? All mondeos and Skoda's
MultiRyan2112 Germany uses mercs as taxis
So, is it? ;-)
He's not sitting in a relaxed position in the back , its obvious he's stretching to get as close to the roof lining as possible to make the headroom look poor . Nobody sits like that (bolt upright ) !!!
modest car. got it for 6 months. i will buy the Audi A6
more beatiful ? well that s so very relative
@mohammedschannel Try listening... he said 8secs is reasonable
Jaguar drivers are about passion, soul and pedigree. Who cares if you have to pay a little more, for a little less practicality.
On the other hand, if you like your ice cream in vanilla flavour, and your walls in beige, then go for one of the Germans
mmm no it's not.. it can't beat 5-series in any way.. or the A6, or the E-class
GLR it’s faster than the e class and a6 and is so much better looking than the all 3 of the others. And better equipped as standard
@nishantsirohi123 My cellphone is Swedish/Japanese, and my food is mostly Norwegian.
I cooking this channel
yes m8 true that i know what you britts are thinkin'.
@aziz5627 'the jaaaags' are not reliable. however, germans like audi and bmw are about the same. not to mention merc which is worse than ever.
Because taxi drivers can make hundreds of thousands of dollars or euros a year...
0-60 is 5.7 seconds for petrol version.
0-60 for diesel is 7.6 seocnds dont trust the internet i personally tested it
@omendark123 Jaguar engines are the best.......bmw make good engines, but the diesels Jaguars make are amazing!
i think the bmw 5 looks better but thats my opinion =D
@uskokral
Jaguar are only competing with the entry-level BMs, Audis & Mercs. Without these engine options, the company becomes unviable.
