    Great video and thanks for the introduction to Luban. I would personally avoid using the attached pegs method as they will require significant waste and time when printing the required support material. Printing pegs separately also allows you to print them in an orientation that is perpendicular to the joint surface which greatly strengthens the part. Looking forward to future content.

    To make the process a little easier, you don't to add the parts, add build plates, and move everything to a build plate. Just load the models and then use the Arrange All Objects button at the top. It will spread things out using as many build plates as it needs to fit everything.

    This is amazing. 10000x better than mesh mixer. How much is this program after the first month?
    Also, you can just hit A on the keyboard and bambu studio will add as many plates as it needs and put each part on each plate. Then you can go through and "lay on face" how you'd like.
    Happy printing!

      Not only do dowels allow printing flat on the build-plate and hence with less supports, but if a dowel breaks, you just print a new one. If that sticking out peg breaks (and when they are pointed towards the bed, the layer lines make them easier to break than flat printed dowels), the break could protrude into the big part and require a reprint of that. So, I'd always advocate for dowels. If their fit is worse, then the tolerance is NOK or something is wrong with how the program designs the dowels.

    • @bambamprint
      @bambamprint  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@jimdean522 well the weight is going to be just an estimate. That will all change once you decide on walls and infill density. Typically I load my entire project into Bambu Studio and log all pieces in a spread sheet. I will go over this in my followup video.

      Thank you for the feedback. I am the developer of LuBan.
      This is a known issue in Windows 10, the tooltips simply do not show. In Windows 11, it shows without a problem. In Linux and Mac, at least on my computers, the tooltips can show; however, Mac has many versions, and I have not tested all of them.
      There is not much I can do at this point. By the way, not all controls have tooltips. Only those that are hard to understand (in my opinion) are added with tooltips.

    • @bambamprint

      That really depends on your use. With the A1 you have a much bigger build plate and will spend less time gluing your parts together. So there is a toss up.

      Uhm, I see it this way:
      1. In case of a failed print the damage is less because the object is printed in two modules.
      2. The time lost for gluing is more than compensated by the fact that we are literally printing at double the speed!!
