My first MPC was the 1000 (Blue) I was one of the first 1000 customers to purchase the unit. I was supposed to receive a free MPC 1000 bag or something like that. Needless to say, I never received my bag and the pads didn’t work correctly. Ultimately I ended up with the short end of the stick and I sold it after a few years. The new black 1000 had already been released and it was supposed to have the pad issue resolved but I already had a bad taste in my mouth by then lol. I bought a MV8800 and I am still happy with that! PS….I did buy a new MPC live just before the live II came out and I am learning it. Thanks Doc for your years of experience and great videos.
nice sounds like my experience 1st mpc was the spider-man 1000 and now my son has one with all the extras and big screen and i ended up buying a mv-8000 added the card and a black and white screen from a vs studio. What’s your favorite thing about the mv8800 out of curiosity?
It aches my heart how good I got at making beats and learning music specifically bass guitar on my own before all the websites and apps. I never thought to get into the mpc or sp1200. I was stuck using reason to make all my beats and eventually lost interest in beat making. It went from 1999-2005 and im looking at these machines now even the ease of the mpc has me blown away. If I wasnt a teen and had the funds no telling where I'd be at the first dj mustard or something.
I’ll be getting the new MPC flag ship for sure. More Ram beefed up hardware for capable processing. New firmware. Just better of what I already love. As far as selling my other two MPCs (X&Live2) I’ll be holding on to them.

@@djsun1 I like the all in one type of setup, the CD burner, the workflow, the onboard color screen, and the SIZE of the machine lol
Cool my man. Thank you for the history lesson. I look forward to getting into it.
My favorite one is the MPC 3000 & 4000. It's just something about the circuitry.
My first is MPC X.

Saw the 2nd one at a recording studio. Used the 3rd one for two years. Bought the 4th one brand new in 1997.

I love the mpc one, the mpc 1000 and 2500.
I'm very into the 4000. That's my cup of tea - the new ones not so much.
MPC One can become much more than the Live if you rig it. Hands down MPC One for me
My first was 2000XL in 2006, but sold it and bought 60 and 3000 which not going to sell
Hi xD What big changes do you think the new MPC will have? xD I am still yet to get the ONE because I really like the screen xD
I think a new type of flagship device like the MPC X. Then another device that will be more fun to use for younger beat maker’s.
MPC fly???
Great question, I don't think they supported it much, you the first person to ask about it, do you have and use it.
