You got a good mileage as long as you drive in B mode and you use regenerative braking.

There are 2 shifts on the gear box for the electric engine. First shift is from 0 to 70 km/h and above the Jogger shift to the second gear. The first gear is also used when the car is reversing as an electric engine works in both directions.
There are 4 gears for the 4 piston engine. The 1rt gear kicks in at 30km/h.
Below 30km/h the car is only motored by the electric engine.

I want this car because I have a dog and want to take the rear seats out and put the cage in the back, because the back door is almost a vertical right angle to the body it makes most of the space. I tried the cage in a new Duster but because of the sloping back it would not fit. This seems an excellent car for the money and the hybrid would just make it smoother to drive and cruise around in. Great review I want one!

The gearbox isn't "like a CVT gearbox" It's a clutchless dogbox that works like a dual clutch gearbox, the next gear is always prepared for shifting into.

It will have the Renault Austral hybrid system in it which is well made. The computer chooses which way to drive the wheels either the ICE or Electric motor. There is a complex meshing gubbins that makes it happen. Don't know about clutches in it, I haven't heard it mentioned.

I find it very endearing that this car is so no-nonsense. It’s hardcore practicality.
If they made the front pillar look more like an SUV and perhaps used the electric system to give it AWD, I think it would be able to compete for an even larger market share.
It’s a supremely impressive car. Probably the best offer on the market today for family cars. Virtually any estate, family hatchback or MPV is outmatched by this for the money. If it had more SUV looks (and maybe AWD) it could potentially also take on the family SUV market.

Personally, I am weighing the Jogger against an EQB. Not sure how many people saw that match-up coming. I certainly didn't, but here I am. The way luxury SUVs and EVs drop in price and the way that car taxation works in my country (Denmark), a lightly used EQB pretty much edges out all the non-EV 7-seaters, except for the Jogger.

The government runs ' The Junk' programme to get people to buy new cars and then maybe you will get it with 13000 for trading an old car but not so sure your cost will not exceed 13000. @@hman72yTo be honest, I much prefer they went with the larger atmo engine (guessing, older?), than a small 1.2L engine with a turbo on a big car like that, that's suppose to lug around some cargo.
Toyota does the same, and I'm giessing it's to improve reliability (A known VVTI platform) and reduce complexity, of an already complex hybrid engine (dual injection, VVTI, plus the hybrid management system, although their SynergyDrive transmission is mechanically super simple and reliable).
Yeah, Renault's hybrid isn't totally new, but they did suffer from reliability, although I haven't really research as to why (gearbox or engine issues).
I hesitated between the Dacia hybrid, and a Toyota Touring Sport for a while, and went with Toyota, as it's a well known quantity and ultra reliable, though 'expensive'. I did go with the 2.0L like an idiot though, not the most sensible option. 140BHP is plenty sufficient and much cheaper.
