Sorry, but I can't see any advantage of the marketing bullshit with name ExtendedGrip. In both modes the car stopped on same place and could not continue to climb. But it is really very nice that car can run in pure electric mode on that uphill forrest trail.
My Jogger Extreme is missing the Extended Grip. But it looks like it's only disabling the traction control = allowing wheels to spin and not cutting the engine power. It's not distributing the power to the wheel with better traction. Which is the feature I would expect from such system.
@@eazyt84 as mentioned, reality is different. I had a chance to test mine without and friends with the extended grip. Mine is allowing spinning wheels only on (almost) full pedal push. Extended grip allowed spinning without cutting the power in much lower speeds. That's all... Sorry I really would like to see the static rollers test, but there's nothing available yet.
It Matters but Here the "Traction Slip Control" is shut-off, when "Grip Control" ist switched on, while "Grip Control" shutt-off automaticly when you accelerate On-Road beyond 30km/h. Grip Control+ would be breaking the Spinning wheel and is a Electronic locking system per axle. "Traction Slip Control" avoid Spinning wheels and that you Fall/Slide from the Road in Turns because Spinning wheels have less cornering Grip. "Traction Slip Control" is "Throttle Control" and let you stand on climbs where the Underground is slippery. With AT-Tires on the wheels the Spinning wheels let you climb. Grip Control and Grip Control+ is nothing without AT-Tires. The way around AT-Tires with M+S Tires is gone. All Season with AT-capabilities need the 3-Peaks-Mountain-Snowflake Symbol. Most potenrially there is a General Grabber AT3 in the right size for the Jogger. Offroading better Not with Alloy-Wheels and Steel Wheels Like DOTZ instead.
@@espacesXAbsolutely. And the continental brand tires that come installed on the factory are very bad in this regard. I’ve never seen such a bad continental tire.

So how about driving through a 'snowy' road at 6 in the morning, 70km/h ..... Would this benefit or is it not recomended for higher speeds? Here in the north of sweden they plow the roads early in the morning but it's still a slippery ride to work on the bigger roads with heavy snow fall.
man i realy like the design of the jogger, its realy a beautifull car
Seems like this "Dacia" version of EG only turns ESC off, but doesn't apply braking on the weels as well, like the "Renault" version does...
The winter passed and there is now winter test of the extended grip :(

I was expecting something similar to VW's EDL, which will brake the slipping wheel sending power to the wheel with traction :/
@@CallumStewartTV me too. Reality is different. Unfortunately...
Dacia webpage says it DOES distribute the power

So what's the point of this mode? Seems like it just turns off ESP, nothing more 😐
Extended grip is supposed to apply break on the skidding wheel allowing the opposite wheel with more adhesion to provide traction.

After reviewing the video, it doesn't matter if the car doesn't have this function...

Very nice video, very nice car and good test 😍😍😍 i will be very happy if you can test on Sandero Stepway 💪💪💪💪
Thank you! Soon I hope to test it out on a Sandero Stepway. The dealer needs to buy one so I can test drive it for a weekend 💪

👏👏 who needs AWD ?
a good driver using some momentum 💪🏻
when is snow and ice you use momentum?
You need less air in the front tyres on mud so the tyre has more squat and thereby the dirt gets removed from the profile

I was hoping something would happen in this video but alas not. First mild test the car made more progress without the feature than with??
no need of extended grip on those kind of road. every car can drive through without troubles. just need of good tires.

yes, the "extreme" has the extended grip

intrebarea e ...oare merita aprox 27000eur? 21650eur mai exact cu 2 rable mai vechi de 15 ani, sau in leasing peste 30.000 ?
Nu merită atât...însă masina asta arata foarte bine, are spațiu mare.Mi îmi place.
Many cars have this function in their electronic stability control as standard for the last 15 years.
Even cheap cars like the Ford Fiesta.
