I don’t usually comment but I’ve got a concert tonight with a very belt-y solo and after three days of antihistamines thanks to hayfever my voice was totally gone through dryness. I’ve spent all day panicking that I was going to let everyone down but a few of those exercises have got me sounding almost normal again - you’re a lifesaver!
I agree! I had a a couple concerts, speaking events and more and my voice tired and I'm a vocal coach and I tried this and was blown away on how open my voice was. Great JoB Sir? 👏🏾

Thanks Jimmy, after over a year of wheezy coughing, phlegm and weird wheezing, whistling and bagpipe noises when exhaling in bed at night,I had almost lost my voice just before Christmas.I came across your channel, and have been doing your voice exercises for the past days,to the amusement of my family. The effects are really encouraging, my voice is getting back to normal, the urge to keep clearing my throat is subsiding and the sounds of the vocal exercises have gone from very ragged to more and more smooth.I’m nearly 74 and thought I might be on a downhill slide to a permanent weak voice, but now I’ll have your glottal pops, falsetto drops, and hot potato with me wherever I go.Cheers Bob
I would like to say thank you for this video! I am out all weekend, every weekend, and my voice is tired. Yesterday morning I couldn’t speak! I did lots of things in preparation, such as vocal straw warm up, voice rest all day, with your exercises in between, throat coat tea, constant water, Difflam spray and Strepsils to numb the soreness, and by the evening, I could sing again! I have to do it again for tonight, but then I’m ok voice rest for the week. Your exercises kept my vocal folds together! 🙏🏽

Hello there and, good afternoon (well, at least here in Spain). I have a question for you.I've had trouble with my stomach for quite a few years now, which has led to acid reflux and damage to my vocal chords. The specialist took a close look and told me my throat is full of phlegm and my vocal chords are super thin. I got a recommendation for a speech therapist, but I wanted to see if I could find anything online. And guess what? I stumbled upon your channel after watching a few videos. Your tutorial is so much better than the rest I've seen, and it has examples that you can actually use. I am drinking lots of herbal tea. I don't smoke, nor do I drink coffee or alcohol. I am a keen cyclist and very active. Which leads me to another question about breathing through the mouth when riding. Could this be damaging to my vocal chords? And then I wanted to ask you about dairy. It seems there are split opinions amongst doctors and such about whether or not this could actually be a cause of phlegm build up in the throat. I would appreciate any feedback you can give. Well, thanks for all the helpful tips. I will try the exercises and keep tuned into your channel. Cheerio! 👍🏻
Hi Nick, it sounds like you're doing all the right things.. cutting down dairy, coffee etc. Try breathing in through your nose and out through your mouth when riding. The cold air passing over the folds when breathing in through the mouth is causing the problem. Best of luck.
Mr. Cannon, I have cancelled my appointment because my Insurance Co. told me, when I asked them, that it will cost me $320, and since I have my voice back I do not see the need. I had been told that I had an appointment at ENT on November 28, 2022, then when I checked, the appointment has disappeared and bumped January 13. $350 will not give me peace of mind.
Was supposed to finish recording my first EP this afternoon, unfortunately my voice was shot when I woke this morning. Been drinking Tea and Resting :/
How often would you say to do these things? I lost my voice... My speaking voice is back but I have a massive concert at the weekend and my singing voice is not where it needs to be. Help! X

I lost my singing voice since as soon as I became pregnant hoping it will come back after childbirth but is already one year and six months and my voice has not returned yet, I really need my voice back sir help me please.
So.. my issue isn't that I've lost my voice from using it too much, but from not using it much at all. I've been a hermit for the past 4--5 years working on myself psychologically and doing a lot of reading and writing. I'm putting together a Keynote presentation that I want to record, and when I speak I sound gravelly and weak. It sounds awful. I assume these tips can help with that, as well?

Is lemon honey water advised or just plain water better?
I lost my singing voice since as soon as I became pregnant hoping it will come back after childbirth but is already one year and six months and my voice has not returned yet, I really need my voice back sir help me please.
I'm sorry to hear this Francis. Happy to help, feel free to send me an email at hello@jimmycannon.com
So.. my issue isn't that I've lost my voice from using it too much, but from not using it much at all. I've been a hermit for the past 4--5 years working on myself psychologically and doing a lot of reading and writing. I'm putting together a Keynote presentation that I want to record, and when I speak I sound gravelly and weak. It sounds awful. I assume these tips can help with that, as well?

So, coffee is a no-go, but what about tea? I suppose water is still better, but I wonder if tea has any negative effects as well.
Well, Im not an expert in nutrition, but I believe tea has caffeine in.
@@jimmycannonvoicecoachTea is minimal caffeine but lemon tea with honey is the best too!!
