There are a lot of very very very happy marriages out there.. They don't share cause they want to maintain the happiness, cause they know people just like to know they aren't alone in bitterness, and if they find one not too happy, might go the extra to spoil it.. Believe me..
So yeah, ensure just like you've invested in yourself to look good, smell good, be educated, etc.. It's important we also invest in finding a partner... A good partner we can work with.
Like I always say.. Remember, even with the family that brought you here, there are times you feel like running away, this is how it may feel sometimes with the stranger you're trying to build with.
Also, remember that it will be nice sha if you consider the generation to come.. Give them male or female child that might be a president that will change the world, an engineer, a doctor etc, that who knows could discover something amazing..

This is so true, I was under so much pressure and got married by 32. Divorced by 37. Now I am 41 and the pressure is even worse, now they are asking me to have a baby, adopt etc...To think that these people don't even ask me how i am coping, how life is treating me, how i survived the divorce. It's draining and very common with us Igbos.

I’m so happy I didn’t rush into marriage in my 20s because I literally didn’t discover my true self. now I’m totally grateful for how patiently I have been with myself, I never for once cared about who has married and who’s having a baby, I enjoyed my journey, learned and grown as a person, discovered who I truly am and what I stand for, I have evolved and my choices of men have changed many times.
Do not be deceived by the media noise of being old at 30, be patient with yourself and enjoy your growth.
Now I am whole and married to a man who has also find his part, it doesn’t get better than what I have now.

This is very rare for someone my age to say(I’m 31) but I’m so glad I’m not married yet! Yes, I want to be married. But I’m so thankful for all the things I have been able to accomplish before marriage. I have traveled, invested and started businesses, and lived alone. I feel like all these things would have been hard if I had a husband to constantly ask for permission to do things. Now that I’ve made all my investments( currently working on my last investment project), traveled, lived alone, developed my relationship with God, increased my self love, worked on past traumas so that I can be a good parent and partner, I’m now ready to settle down but I’m not desperate. I still really enjoy living alone.
I wasn't into dating much. It got so bad that my family thought that I was gay!😂
I just knew that I wasn't ready and didn't want to rush into marriage. I took my time, and I met my SO when I turned 40. At that point, I assumed that I would be on my own, and I was okay with that. I lost a lot of so called friends throughout the years. Fell out with family members (To be honest, this was a blessing in disguise as I was able to cut out toxic people around me) because I was weird for not wanting to settle down. I'm almost 50, and I've been with my husband for 9 years, and I thank God that I took my time. I can honestly say that everything happened as it was meant to. My advice is that God's time is the best, and don't let anyone make you feel less than. Truth is a lot of them are not happy.
Me too I started feeling ready when I became 30. And finally got married at 34. And I am so happy I took my time.

Finally someone I can truly relate to. I truly started considering marriage when I was almost 29 years. And it was so weird seeing people at my age of 25 back then getting married. And I just couldn't care for myself getting married or settling down at that point. I would think like "why are these kids getting married?"

Depending on a person religion or culture, living with someone is not an option. In that case what I would advise is a friend or relative live with them for the 2 to 3 weeks you advised.
