Thanks lads, I'm the proud owner of a '78' P200e, your tip on stoping the headset knocking on the leg shield trim was pure gold for me! Jusbeen our in the garage and 'adjusted' ( hammer and punch) mine now equal clearance both sides and I'm a happy man👍
I just bought a P200E that I'm having restored (no time to do it myself), but watching this video series has been great. I've learned so much about how the bike was put together in the first place and what's required in a proper restoration. I'm a much smarter consumer than I was four hours ago. Thanks Robot and Steve!
I have just spent the last 3 days watching these restoration videos. I just moved from southern California to Naples Italy. In the past I had two 1984 Honda Aero50 scooters, but always wanted the real deal, a classic Vespa. I think with these videos I am going to dive in. You know what they say, "When in Rome!". I have always enjoyed watching restoration video series, these are some of the most complete I have seen. It's always a pleasure to watch a master at his craft. My hats off to Steve and Robot! Clearly enough hands on experience through years and years of rebuilds. Enjoyed the touched of humor as well. Also the mutual respect shows through. Nice work
Just completed a complete strip down respray and rebuild on my 2003 Vespa px200 which I've owned from new,the scooter had done 50,000 miles on the original top end and was still going strong but was time to tidy the scooter up.your videos have been very helpful throughout the project cheers guys keep up the good work👍Biffo UK.
What a wealth of information you guys share! Thanks so much! You helped immensely with my VNB4 rehabilitation, now I'm on my second scooter, 1978 P125x. Looking forward to more fun and learning with these amazing jewels! Cheers!
Glad I found this been working on carburetor and as I tried to put fuel line back on the end ripped then cut a little bit off and tried again and again so obviously time to change it I also have oil injected so now I know what I’m doing thank you
I'm doing the floor rails right now and need the peening rivets. I'm done with the porting and the Malossi cylinder, piston, and head from the other video. I need a battery, a new sight glass, etc. Send those over right away! ; ) Thanks Robot and Steve, I'm enjoying the videos.
Thank you so much for this and particularly the detail you've gone into. There had obviously been many unsteady hands on our bike over the years so this was immensely useful in getting ours back together the way it ought to be.
thanks a lot for your videos. i´m from germany and i have a px80 with a 139 malossi. now that winter is coming i´ll tear it down completely and try to restore the bike just like you guys did. great job :) and btw i´m also building a 221 malossi engine.
You two fancy a trip to Shakespeare county England? I will make the tea and give you fish and chips served in newspaper , failing that I will keep watching and rewinding Great job guys

Great videos guys! A ton of knowledge between you two! I am restoring a 1980 P125X US Spec this winter. Can I simply swap a Euro Tail Light for the Ginormous US Spec Tail Light? If so, what parts do I need for the conversion? Keep up the awesome work!
My keys on the neck of my 77 p200.and I cant figure out how to vet the original flat plug from wiring harnes to the 3 post and 5 post plugs my new guage has..any help would be greatly apreciated? 🤙
Hi thanks for the video upload..i love ur channel few days ago I brought a 1979 Vespa 125 P can u please help me out with ur words of wisdom 1st all its hard to shift through the gears I notice. Where gear oil goes that area covers with old oil , back break almost no break , only head light works no signals no horn no neutral light no break lights and. Speedometer not working any suggestions where to start the diagnosis??
It's a little hard to diagnose all your issues over the internet since there are so many variables with these old scooters. However, you should check out our latest series of videos where we completely go through a 1978 P200 (very similar to your scooter). I think these videos will get you well on your way to getting your scooter back on the road! Thanks for the support. th-cam.com/play/PLmZN6ewY34hgy1Mf3XPtBlNM4Pw39ZkHb.html
I can't understand how you can get by without a front brake switch. I watched this video hoping to get an idea how to adjust mine. It only lights if I squeeze my brake lever almost all the way in.
I have a 2005 px150 VESPA. Cant get it to stay running. is it possible the carb is not feeding enough fuel. i feel like it is a fuel problem. any ideas? , is there a fuel pump. it looks just like this video.
+Tristan Trajan We've got a couple other videos that cover this, as well as an in depth engine rebuild video. This video focuses more on proper assembly of the scooter when doing a restoration job. Thanks!

My vespa px is a kick start only..can you make a video on how to install an electric start on it..please.with all the requirements. Thank you
super helpful thanks!
Can i still use an eetric start harness in a non electric. I got mine from italy.
Can you explain how the original glove box rivets are installed?
thanks a lot.
What is it about the cowl peg tubing that makes it “critical?”
can you remove the glove box and use the vespa without it or does that pose problems with the cables I saw?
I can't understand how you can get by without a front brake switch. I watched this video hoping to get an idea how to adjust mine. It only lights if I squeeze my brake lever almost all the way in.
How in the world does Steve remember all the part numbers

Good
how did you changed the gear box oil
how much for a decent restoration of my px 200 e?
the bike runs but has 30+ years and she is never been used in the last 10 years.
This is my P200E made in 1980. Was not used in the last 11 years. Engine start ... and runs ... th-cam.com/video/8bZnhKdiNOg/w-d-xo.html
A very old vespa mostly needs new strator cables und always fresh gasoline.
Did Pt.3 disappear?
Had to fix something on it. It's back up now!
what color is that ? anybody know?
Nothing about, ignition and timing?
+Tristan Trajan We've got a couple other videos that cover this, as well as an in depth engine rebuild video. This video focuses more on proper assembly of the scooter when doing a restoration job. Thanks!
+Vespa Motorsport can we get vespa spares
